Like the title says..let's see the goodies you picked up. I didnt pick up much, but chuffed with what I got. I like getting movie posters signed rather than photos, so happy to add highlander to my small collection. Not really one for buying pre-signed autos, however I fell in love with a halloween/Michael myers art print which was signed by james jude courtney who played MM in the 2018 movie. The DVD tells it's own story haha. Art the clown makes pennywise look like a teletubby :) Hope you all had fun6 points

No LFCC for me this year but still managed to pick up a nice souvenir in the silent auction Already have signed Highlander, Greystoke and The Sicilian photos so asked Christopher to sign my Kickboxer: Retaliation blu ray: I picked up a Cobra pressbook including 12 stills: I couldn't pass on a signed Kim Hartman / Richard Gibson photo: And finally my Christopher Lambert green screen photo. I regretted not getting it done in Birmingham last year after I had seen other people's photos and I was glad to get another chance so soon after:6 points

Speaking of Comic Cons did you know it's:- 28 weeks or 196 days or 4704 hours or 282240 minutes or 16934400 seconds until LCC Spring which I will definitely, probably, almost certainly be attending. And yes, I have gone to all the trouble to work that out! Think I need to go and do something productive like mowing the lawn.5 points

John Levene on Series 10 Blu-ray, Katy to follow tomorrow. Both also to be added to the Dr Who chess set tomorrow Sarah Sutton. Still kicking myself for sticking with the purple, was going to shift to the yellow or red but thought it would be ok. It’s fine as I have her auto from many meetings but still annoyed at myself. Legend. So happy to finally get his auto after missing him at so many other events. This was brilliant. When I got to John he was having a conversation with Derrin Nesbitt and Garrick Hagon. Then their coffees arrived and it was great to just chat with these 3 legends. I love how John puts his jacket on to get selfies. A proper gent. Oh this pic was taken by Garrick too so that was a fun little bonus I’ll always remember when I look at it.4 points

Too late in the day for that, do it tomorrow. I however have had a fun hour recreating a crime scene. AKA I've just made blackberry cordial and if you've ever tried to hand squeeze pulped blackberries through a muslin, lets just say if I'd gone outside without washing the police WOULD have been called. Boy that stuff was just thick enough to coat my hands and wrists, and with the colour it really did look like I'd just plunged my hands in someones guts. Hannibal would have been proud.4 points

Had a good day-met John Levene, George Roubicek, Derren Nesbitt and Christopher Lambert who were all very nice. Crew were all great too. Got mainly DVD covers signed; was hoping Derren would have a "Blue Max" pic on the table but I had my "Where Eagles Dare" cover as a backup. George signed a "You Only Live Twice" cover. I brought a red Sharpie for John to sign "inferno". I also got a 8 x 10 David Tennant auto from Sue & Mark. My daughter loved meeting CL and she found plenty of Anime stuff to splurge on at the stalls. Will just post a couple of pics.4 points

Just imagine if police had not only seen your red-stained hands but also your acid filled bath. You really would have had some explaining to do.2 points

I've only ever had 2 autographs authenticated. If you can get a photo of the guest signing your item that's good provenance if you're planning to sell them.1 point

John was an absolute delight-one of the nicest guests you could meet. So much so that I went back and got a second auto from him!1 point

Personally I get stuck on the 'is this better or is this better' bit as most of the time I'm like 'I don't know, I can't tell if there's a difference'1 point
-
I would think that any authentication service is only beneficial if you plan on selling your autographs. For me, it is all about meeting the guests and my memory of the day. I wouldn't need validation in this way. So as QS said this is a service that would need costs covered, resulting in pricing being increased elsewhere. Having seen how few people were using Beckett at collectormania last year while I queued for guests, I can't see the demand being there. Even if it was free I doubt there would be a tremendous increase in demand for the service.1 point

Such services come with a price - if provided "for free" it would be standard business practice to work it into the autograph price Those who don't care about it wouldn't really like it if the prices go up because authentication is now included.1 point

This is lovely! Thank you for sharing! I completely agree. He really made you feel at ease. I thought Hayden's would go really fast, but it didn't go as fast as I thought it would. Hayden was really attentive towards me, and listened to everything I said. Made sure I was okay, and gave me a really tight hug, and made sure I was at ease. Polite, sweet and caring. Like you said, really grateful he came to Europe. I would love to see him back again.1 point

Some good Bond guests going, shame I’ve met most of them before! What about Gary Raymond, Honor Blackman and John Cairney from Jason and the Argonauts? Or Michael Craig from Mysterious Island?1 point

Many people I work with think I'm nuts spending that money, but I think they're nuts spending £3.50 on a cup of coffee 2-3 times every day.1 point

I do show my parents cause I know that they are happy for me - and they don't care where I spend my money. They themselves are like: "You don't smoke, you don't drink" and so on. But I don't show to friends - unless they want to have a look. And when they do they usually try to find something negative to say. Something like: "Wow, that person got old" or "He could have smiled more". But I don't care. I prefer to share my stuff here or somewhere else where people like me share the same passion. As some of you already mentioned - we do this for us. It's our memories, our experiences, our time and our money. I don't need to show my pics to 50 friends so that I can say: "Ha, look whom I met!". I enjoy checking out my folder all alone cause I love to remember the meetings!1 point

My Mum used to like looking at them, and my Dad does but his first question is always "how much did that one cost"?! And I rarely tell him the truth...1 point
