timlux
Hm the nicest were Summer Glau, Bernard Cribbins ( I had my longest chat with him ) , Curtis Armstrong ( I was not intrested in getting an autograph etc for him, but I was standing somewhere to wait for a friend, and then he started talking to me for 5 minutes, he was on his break I don´t know but he was nice to chat to. The conversation started like that Ah I love the smell of nerds during a sunny day in London XD ), and Robert Knepper. But well all of the stars I met were very friendly , exept for Billy Dee Williams. Edited May 17, 2015 by timlux

(unforgettable moment !! ) I would love to re-meet him.
fatorson
For Me it has to be the whole of Collectormania 2013 in Glasgow's Guest list.I know thats cheating cos there were a Ton! of them but I cannot fault that Day.Lance Henriksen and David Warner were anything but the EVIL Characters the portray on Screen (Considering Warner actually played a Character by the name of Evil).Robert Englund was full of Brilliant Stories and Alice Krige was just....Just....God! ive been in love with this Woman since 1981's Ghost story.Wonderful People who took time out from their busy working lives to give Me memories i'll never forget.

Swissangel4616
another amazing celebrity was Jeremy Jackson. He played Hobie - the son of David Hasselhoff of the long time running super hit "Baywatch". He failed later as actor after Baywatch and got trouble with drugs / anabolikas. When I met him first to get a autograph we talked just about Baywatch and his character. A little bit later at the event our way crossed again. He said hello.. how are you doing at this event. I said "fantastic". He noticed that I made the long way over to the event and we started talking during his break. We sat onto a couch and talked about acting and that it might be very difficult to get an job in a movie/tv show in Hollywood. Everything is so hard.. everybody has to looks great and its frustrating not to get a role / part in a movie. He started to have depression and tried those things out with anabolika until to hard stuff. It was definitive the worst thing he ever did.I said: thats why I dont wanna be an actor (even I do like to play) because is frustrating not getting a part. But now he is in good health again and its great to see David and the others again. He is still surprised that he has fans. At all.. this was definitive the most personal in-deep conversation I ever had.
GoldenGreen
Had a bit more time to reflect back on this one now, it is still almost impossible to answer but people often say to you , you shouldn't meet your heroes, well it may sometimes be the case but actually it has been a really great for me. I'll just pick out two: Joss Whedon - For many years now I've loved the work of Joss , whether that be comics, tv or films and I took the chance a few years ago to go to the Serenity Premiere in London. I'd taken with me a mini poster signed by most of the main cast from the film and I was really hoping Joss would sign it. I managed to get a good spot and as he drew close I passed him my silver sharpie to sign it (massive pen fail), his assistant told him to keep moving and I thought I had missed my chance, but my take I think is that Joss is a fan himself and understands these things and he then makes the effort to come back to me and not only signs the poster with another pen but also signs another item for me as well. What I said on the day, I can't exactly remember and I'm sure it was probably a load of gibberish but it felt like he really cared. Mark Hamill - I probably only need to say the name "Luke Skywalker" to be honest, but I'd travelled to the USA primarily to meet Mark and I think I was just about as nervous as I have ever been meeting a guest, I literally was shaking , I went into the photoshoot and sat down and he couldn't have been any friendlier, there was no rush, he asked me where I had come from, told me that he had lived in London about his family, his daughter I think he said she had been born there and how he had enjoyed it. Thanked me for coming to see him and gave me a massive hug. Again, what I actually managed to say was probably pure gibberish but what a top fan friendly guy.

It's so pleasant to read your appreciation words about Mark, an actor who has played a "hero" who gave to all Star Wars fans memorable moments in the entire saga. From my point of view, if a person wishes so much to meet an actor , it's a good thing try to meet him. The experiences I've had, have been really positive, for me, and I've realized some dreams I was dreaming from many years. No one can never imagine the absolute JOY I felt when i met Scott Bakula. He was so nice and friendly with me even if I was talking in an horrible english ! I think that an actor deserves to hear directly from his fans that a movie, a TV-serie he has worked in , gave them emotions ( sweet emotions, sad emotions .....) because only the people who watch their works can tell them how good was his involvement with the character played. I've had very sad years during my life, and watching movies or TV-series was the only way to escape ( for a bit of time ) from my unpleasant reality. ( I apologies for my long post ..........)
Dent_1
Of the total 38 guests I've met at shows over the past 7 years there were only two guests I ever had issue with. One was a little "off" but it was widely reported they were under the weather and they weren't rude or anything, just seemed a bit out of sorts. Hoping to mee them again this year so we'll see if it was a one off. The second guest was a main member of the Trek TNG crew who's demeanour was so poor I really did not enjoy meeting them. Met them again a couple years later because I needed something else signing and it was the same story all over again. As for the rest, they have all been good to varying degrees, which I do not think is bad going and it is very hard to narrow it down to who was the nicest. Honourable mentions... Carrie Fisher - a rule unto herself, something of diva, but fun and went out of her way to add a cool personalisation, she was happy we knew the name of her dog! Lance Henriksen - seemed very interested in the person meeting him and the item he's signing, very soft-spoken and puts you at ease. Michael Madsen - cool guy, happy to add quotes, struck up real conversation asking about us and telling us about his family. Paul McGann - really unpretentious and nice guy, always looks happy to be there and was thrilled I had a Withnail & I pic for him to sign. The Best: 4. Alice Krige - bit of an eccentric, she really liked the quote I asked her to put (which was a long one) which led to her philosophising on the meaning, this led to us finding out we had both read the same degree at university and us debating the correct spelling of a word in the quote before we had to resort to google. She got very absorbed in conversations with everyone to the point I thanked her profusely and helped her wrap it up because I was feeling bad for the people behind me as she had been AWOL for long periods of the day and the show was close to finishing. She seemed oblivious to it all though and gave her undivided attention. 3. Mads Mikkelsen - probably the most humble guest I have met, like he sort of could not believe he had recently been in Casino Royale and that people wanted to meet him. Did not know how to take a compliment (in that it was as if he couldn't believe the praise he was getting). I've had quite a few photoshoots over the years, and as corny as it may sound, his smile looks the most genuine. 2. Marina Sirtis - a really lovely lady. Excellent at building rapport and striking up conversation, especially impressive when I never go up to guests with anything I plan to say, nor my partner who is a convention novice. Very down to earth. 1. John Rhys-Davies - a happy, happy, jolly man. Full of beans and enthusiasm. Easy to talk to, interested and interesting. He even brings his own special colour paint pens. Clearly enjoys meeting his fans. At the first show I went to that he was at I was a bit skint so decided to forego his signature so took the opportunity to approach him and say I enjoyed his work when I saw him walking around the show looking at the stalls. He didn't make me feel I was imposing and was so pleasant I decided to get his auto in the end.
Faerie Tanith
Costas Mandylor. :) Where do I even start. He was such a darling today! The first thing he said to me was, "Whoa, hello! You look great, that's the best outfit I've seen today!". I was dressed as Babydoll from Sucker Punch, which he didn't explicitly mention, but he kept calling me 'baby' while talking to me. Not gonna lie, I'm still a little bit jelly-legged and awestruck. Costas Mandylor repeatedly called me baby. My life has been made. He misspelled my name when he signed my autograph, so he insisted on doing me another one and then came out from behind the table to pose for a couple of photographs with me, and gave me a hug when I left. And at the photoshoot, he posed with my sword while I posed with my gun and the photographer took two pictures (one portrait, one landscape) and let me keep both. When I left Costas said "see you later baby" and winked, and there went my legs again. I'm a shameless Saw fangirl, and I somehow didn't expect Costas to be quite so enthusiastic as he was. In hindsight I don't know what I expected. But he was so lively and sweet and friendly and cuddly. He is precious. He must be treasured. Protect Costas Mandylor at all costs, he is a cupcake.

Graphic_Delusions
I have met some really nice guests but there were some that really stood out being the nicest: Meg Foster - Really loving and caring guest who was into me as much as I was into her. She grabbed my hand and wouldn't let go whilst speaking like we were both already close friends. David Hess - Ok so not a Showmasters guest, but I will greatly miss this fine gentleman who is certainly one of my top actors to meet. He sang for us on his guitar and we drank together in the bar sharing stories and banter. Gone but never forgotten. Clive Barker - Another favourite of mine who I love dearly. Met him at a Showmasters event and he really took the time to chat with you. He was also interested in checking out my tattoo artwork and his partner wanted my contact card to check out my SFX work. Despite having a hand injury, Clive took extra care into giving me the best autograph he can. Further down the year I met him and his partner again in America and they both remembered me from back in London. Jose Pablo Cantillo - Another guest who treated me like a mate. As I work in films myself, he was very interested in what I did, what films I've worked on, and told me about his latest work. Roy Scammell - A great guy full of interesting stories, especially when he worked on Alien. He introduced me to his working colleague and we began networking to work together on a film and photoshoot. Lance Henriksen - Love this guy. Takes the time to chat to you on a casual level. We previously met in America so it was nice to have a catch up, including a funny chat about Prometheus. Most surprising guest: Margot Kidder - I wasn't planning to meet her but I had queued up to get an autograph for my mother. I wasn't sure what to expect but my god she was fantastic, playful and full of enthusiasm. She grabbed my arm with both hands whilst complementing the tattoo artwork and wouldn't let go. There was a lady next to her who I assume was either family or her agent that was also very much involved in the conversation with me. I came away from the experience very overwhelmed, especially from someone who I wasn't that familiar with her work.

D4vem88
I've only been attending cons for a couple of years, but I've met some fantastic guests in that time. Not just SM events, I've been elsewhere too, but LFCC feels like home. So far, my favourite guests will be Arrow stars. Willa Holland is definitely a standout candidate for favourite guest, plenty of time for everyone to chat and interact. Jesse L Martin of The Flash is an amazing person, highly recommended. Ian McDiarmid is another great guest, so friendly! I'm sure there's others, and don't want to bad mouth any of my 'less favourable' encounters (there's been 3, but not an issue) On the whole, almost everyone I've met can be put on the 'great guest' list!
