  5. I had a photo-shoot with Adrienne King on Friday but that overran as Adrienne told the crew she needed to use the toilet. As a result the crew decided to put Andrew Grays photo-shoot ahead of Adrienne's instead. This meant I missed Michelle Harrison's photo-shoot next door in Photo Area A as a result. I was in the first 3 people for Adrienne's Photo-Shoot and felt I would be out of there before Michelle Harrison had finished hence why I stayed put and why I didn't highlight this with Photo-shoot A crew. Thankfully I was able to get a refund (after 4 attempts at unsuccessfully queuing at the sales desk through the course of Friday between other photo-shoots). The crew had to radio into the relevant people to get an idea of what times the photo shoots went off. Thankfully my story of events was corroborated. I used the refund to purchase a Michelle Harrison photo shoot on Sunday Other than that I had no problems with any of my other photo shoots on Friday and Sunday (I didn't attend on Saturday). The above is where the schedule goes out of the window.
  6. My highlight from the weekend was meeting Pamela Anderson as I have been a long time fan of hers since her Baywatch days. I decided on Friday on getting 3 Playboy magazines signed (1989, 1990 and 1996) Thanks to the crew at her queue on Friday who checked with Pamela early on when she had arrived for her signing. I think I was one of the first people to have their playboy magazines signed on Friday. A bit nerve wracking to say the least and glad I brought them with me in the end. The meet was excellent. Though I forgot my senses in Pam's presence. Out of habit I put my hand out to shake Pamela's hand and Pamela thankfully kindly reciprocated. I smiled when Pamela lightheartedly needed to explain to the crew that one of my magazines (1990) was the centerfold edition and that she doesn't know why they don't have her appear on the cover. As it wasnt obvious that this edition contained Pamela in it. The 1989 edition only contained Pam on the cover only and is my favourite Playboy cover of hers. I got one of my own 8 x 10 glamour photo's (non nude) and photoshoot photo signed and personalised later on in the day. Pamela thanked me on complementing her on the great humanitarian and activist work she is doing. I would love to see Pamela back again. Thank you Pamela. One of the kindest guests I have had the pleasure to meet.

  15. I met Sherilyn Fenn on Friday. It was a dream come true to meet her as I am a big fan of her movies since the 80s I got to tell her so and I had been requesting to meet her on the guest suggestions. I was gutted when she cancelled last year I got 2 photoshoots with her on Friday and Saturday. Sherilyn was a real highlight this year for me as I have a lot of her films. Many Sherilyn admitted she could not remember. I remember telling her I enjoyed the Rude Awakening TV comedy show she did in the late 90's. She was taken aback when I said I had the complete TV series even though only the first series was offically released last year. The show is a real blast IMHO. Sherilyn gave good insight into why she was never in Fire Walk With Me. She said she got the part in Of Mice and Men and was too much of a classic to not be in. Sherilyn loves that movie and her role she played. I wish I could have told her the other movies I enjoyed seeing her in. A big regret was not writing her some fanmail to give to her. Neve Campbell was very friendly and easy to talk to another highlight for me. It was another dream come true to meet Lea Thompson. Again a big fan of hers especially from the 80's movies she has been BTTF, Howard The Duck, Some Kind Of Wonderful, Red Dawn, Casual Sex, Caroline in the City,. Lea was very kind and I wish I could meet her again. Lea wrote a nice inscription on my 8 x 10 of her. I met Carrie Henn on Friday and had a good chat about her teaching and where i currently live. Her mum was also great to talk to. Another highlight for me. An enjoyable meet. I met John Ratzenberger on Saturday and asked him if he preferred Shelly Long or Kirstie Alley in Cheers. Without hesitation he said Kirstie Alley. I had a chuckle. Great guy! I had a bit of a moment where I could not make up my mind which colour sharpie to use for the Photo of him as Cliff from Cheers that I had got on the day from Statesidestills. It was one of those photos where the pen choice was difficult. John opted to use the black sharpie which did look the best option :) I met Bill Paxton at the last moment on Saturday before leaving when I remembered I had a VQ ticket that was reasonably low 90 I think. He was open queue and was told there was no personalizations by the crew member. Bill saw I was a bit gutted and he waved me over and said he would do a personalization for me. So grateful I did go to see him at the end of Saturday. Bill was very easy to talk to and I got to shake his hand. I had already got MJF and Sigourney with my diamond passes. Christopher Lloyd - I had a VQ ticket 115 but did not get around to trying for him because of the amount of things I wanted to get through. I did get to quickly say after my photoshoot that I enjoyed his work in the BTTF trilogy and Taxi and got a nice thanks from him. I regret not getting a diamond pass for him to get his autograph. MJF - very grateful to get to be in the presence of Michael. Another highlight of the weekend for me. I love Michael and especially watching Family Ties whilst growing up. Michael signed my 8 x 10 portrait photo of him from taken in the 80s on Saturday as I could not make it on Sunday. I had a high diamond pass number for MJF and Sigourney. Thanks immensely Opal for arranging the dispensation to get me in to see Michael and Sigourney on Saturday. I was able to say a few words to Sigourney whilst getting her autograph and said I liked Aliens, Ghostbusters and Half Moon Street. I chose the Ghostbusters portrait photo to get signed. I felt on a real high after meeting Sigourney and during the photoshoot and Powerloader photoshoot. It was nice atmosphere during the wait and talking to other fans around me. Thanks guys. I enjoyed my photoshoots with Erin Cahill, Jennifer Rubin, Sherilyn Fenn, Lea Thompson, Jodi Lyn O Keefe, Christopher Lloyd, Richard Dean Anderson, Carrie Henn all very friendly. In total had 26 photoshoots over Friday and Saturday and had a great time meeting and speaking with other convention goers. Looking forward to Winter LFCC and the next set of guests.
  16. I have been in the same predicament. I decided to take the plunge and went for original movie posters versus the reproductions. I bought a US one sheet for BTTF and a UK one sheet Aliens poster.I am a big fan of 80's movies. It cost me a bit of money but it was my my own personal preference. I normally go for signed 8 x 10s. But with great guests attending I am opting to get signed posters this year I don't have any cast signed items in my collection and these 2 posters probably will be my first and last signed posters, or until the next great lineup next year I did think about buying foreign issued posters which tend to be a lot cheaper in some cases and some have better designs. The foreign Nightmare on Elm Street Posters do look quite good. I had read that autographs can devalue rare posters and was thinking of reproduction posters up until yesterday for the Aliens poster but opted for the UK International one sheet poster.
  17. Dina Meyer was really nice to meet last year and great fun in the photoshoot Sharni Vinson was really lovely to talk to as was Arianna Richards.

  21. I would seek to try out different silver pens. .There are is a youtube video called Metallic Paint Markers & Gel Pens on a Slick Surface which might be worth a look. Metallic pens have been reviewed and tried out. I am sure whatever brands you'd buy would be able to get inexpensively off ebay. I am not sure if all silver pens can be said to not dry quickly or at all, Worth trying two or three different brands beforehand
  22. I am also looking to get my BTTF poster signed. It cost me a bit of money also. I am looking to seek autographs in Silver, Blue and Black on the poster. I will probably bring my own sharpies with me though as I want to make sure the pens used are ready to go. I may even have a red sharpie with me. Having read what people have said about the use of blue sharpies it may well be that I stick with Black and Silver. Some examples of cast signed BTTF posters on the web use a variety of colours and IMHO don't look authentic. Hence likelihood of sticking to Black and Silver in darker areas of the poster
