eek, long time since i've done this..

my first time EVER in cosplay.. no idea why, but i decided to finally unleash my inner geek. i was uber-self conscious and shy but, by the end of the weekend, had met some amazing people, was totally in character, flashbulb-blind from a million photos, and happy as larry. LOVED muchly, roll on the next one !!

Unfortunately Facebook ruins the photo quality but it's better on there because I can tag people! :(

Oooh, that picture of the girl in the Tardis Dress and the littler girl as the Eleventh Doctor is my sister and I.

Unfortunately don't have a facebook to tag, but that's an awesome picture of us! Thank you :D

Photos in link below..

LFCC 2011

These have been 'fixed' to sort the terrible lighting at Earls Court.

I was lucky enough to be in the front row for the Karen Gillan talk, so these shots look pretty good..

Very nice indeed. Are they cropped at all or did you use a big zoom? flash or no flash? I need to get a better lens for this kind of thing though I'm generally pleased with what I did manage to get and cropped they're even better. I'm finding it difficult to completely correct for the lighting though even with photoshop/bridge etc.

I kinda liked the 'warm' feel it gave in some of my pics, not all though definitely most.

All the photos are as taken, no crops.. I was using a zoom, but not at the full range... No flash in most of them..

Most photos just need the white balance correcting for Tungsten lights.... usually takes away that orange glow..

Thanks for the info. I need to do a bit more work on mine. Only had an 18-55mm DX lens on me, didn't think there'd be enough natural light for a bigger one as I only have quite a slow long zoom lens. As it was I was on 1600 ISO a lot of the time. Only got a Nikon D60, not a match to yours but thanks to the megapixels it's no problem doing some crops to get some nice shots.

What is that?

Someone in a bird costume playing dead :D

But but, how can they fit their legs in the bird legs? :P

My final four public uploads from this years event.

The third one was a bit of a surprise even to myself, but a very welcome one.

BTW, if you recognise any of the people in these - or any of my other - convention photos, please let me know. I'd love to be able to put real names to all these talented cosplayers and maybe even links to their own sites if they want! :-)

The links don't work for me.
