  2. You'd have to get there for before 11 and upgrade to an early bird ticket on the day, as Evanna's shoot looks like it'd finish around about 11ish, considering the next shoot starts at 11:10. Hi there Thanks a bunch or the reply, any idea how long I could expect it to take to get inside the venue, taking into account Queing and upgrading etc?
  3. Hi there Bit worried as got a standard entry ticket, with photoshoot for Evanna (ticket number just under 100). Dont think Well be able to get there before 11am yet the photoshott statrts at 10.45am. Can anyone help by advising how long are we likely to be queing outside, what time does the shoot session end and how long is it likely to take to get to our number? As we dont want to of wasted our money and wold have a very disapointed attendee on my hands. Am really dissapointed this photos session was booked so early and had already booked the ticket before I knew Many thanks

  5. @ Christoff Would you mind awfully if we pinched your Harry Potter picture for use in a debate going on here: http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index....showtopic=69837 regarding the Harry Potter set. Just thought it would be helpful to get an idea how it came out in print, and this is the only picture I have seen so far.
  6. I think it would be really helpful in regards to the 'realism' of the set side of the debate, if we could see how photos taken in the set came out.
  7. I really like the lighting in these pictures, do you mind if I ask who took them?
  8. I posted all of mine in the other thread, though will post them here too so people in them can find them as they are all of cosplayers, mainly upper body shots - due to the lens I packed. As said in the other thread thanks ever so much to everyone who let me capture their face for this series. Was my first event like this though as accompanied somebody else and decided to bring my camera along, glad I did as am really pleased with the pics I got :) The thumbnails are a bit small on here though clicking onto the image will take you through to a slide show wehere you can see a larger version....Let me know what you think y'all and if your in them.
  9. "Stalkers searching for my Girlfriend.......terrifying." lol Who you gonna call?
  10. Looking at it that way it does seem like missed opportunity considering the tardis and delorean guest shoots? Though would be nice to still look around it for free in between.
  11. "All those thinking they're so great because they've been on a film set" I don't think anyone thinks they are great for having been to somebodys place of work. Though in my case I was merely pointing out that (apart from when you are on location of course) is a fairly good replica of what a built set actually looks like in most cases. I think from what I understand it is probably fair to say that that the main points are that some people feel dissapointed with the promotions, though similarly would not want this or similar features to be excluded from future events.
  12. Thats my pic, you looked at it and managed to post it large....Yay! I couldn't figure out how to do it, twas one of the nicest faces I caught that day - there were a few :)
  13. There are 2 girls in pink so not sure which one you mean, though could take a guess I reckon :) However the pics you've quoted were taken on Saturday...
  14. Right I don't mean to stick my oar in and in no way mean to get at anyone at all. Though can see tiredness, exhaustion and comedown steering this into an area I don't think anyone really wants it to go. So.... whoah there step it back a little and let's highlight the points :) I don't know how to quote properly so bear with me proably isnt entire appropriate for this dicussion anyway. Just to say firstly before I put my opinion accross is that I saw the Harry Potter set, the website post and have seen film sets first hand. Being able to see and touch film props from such a sucessful franchise is an exiting novelty and an experience most would enjoy. In this case however the fact that some were expecting something else unfortunately overclouded that enjoyment, preventing them from having the experience they could or should have done. The picture on the main website, accompanying the write up was probably the main instigator for this. It is correct to say that there was no mention of that being what would be present, but having a picture of a lavish set next to a post informing people there would be a set present, leads those to put two and two together and build an expectation. Even those who may have previous experience of the show, or sets could of been blindsided by this. Perhaps a simple Harry Potter logo may of sufficed? Then, once on the set there was nothing to promote the genuine props etc, in order to build back up, from the let down those who may of built a picture in their mind may have felt. Now I know, this I for one am quite dissapointed I didnt spend more time there. A sign, or some sort of write up on the set, or near the props, similar to that at an exhibition or museum may of added a bit more legitimacy to things. Lastly however, it is fair to say that this is actually true indication of exactly what a real set looks like, including the layout. You could quite easily of filmed something their, exactly how it was, with authenticity - so in that sense bar the camera crew and cast it was 'real'. I think people would feel very dissapointed should there not be anything like that done again, similarly I think they would be delighted should it be marketed properly :)
  15. I appreciate that point. But, equally, it's nicer for me to post links because then Flickr records the number of hits each photo gets and I have to confess to liking seeing my view stats and which get more, etc. How about a short description of each link next to it? Then you can decide if you want to click or not ... ? In fairness it wasnt just my suggestion. I notice that people have mentioned it several times in this thread and given the imporession they loose interest when its multiple links as dont want to or wont click them. They also look like they get lost a bit in a page full of links, it hadnt been mentioned for a while and we seem to have a lot mire links ago so I reiterated it, no intention of digging at anyone. As kindly pointed out by another member advise was given of ways to post early on if people are having problems. Although that is of course unrelatd to your reason for linking.
  16. Sorry to repeat what has already been said several times, though could we possible have more pics posted and less links. Its becomes a bit of a chore to click through several links to fond something you may like to see or worse you dont have permission to view Sorry to grip though it would be nice for everyone to be able to see everything....
  17. What is that? Someone in a bird costume playing dead But but, how can they fit their legs in the bird legs? I think it was a hippogriff, it really was supercool!!
  18. I'm finding it difficult to completely correct for the lighting though even with photoshop/bridge etc. I kinda liked the 'warm' feel it gave in some of my pics, not all though definitely most.
  19. Ok guys here't the last in my collection. Big thank you once again for those who accomodated me enought to let me capture their faces for this series - very much appreciated. Please do throw a virtual hand up should you see yourself :) and that's all folks! :)
  20. Next lot - all coments gratefully received :) More to come....
  21. Ah that could be it then, you are probably right as I have not used it before - thank you :)
  22. Does anyone how I can post large size pics from image shack please. mine are showing as thumbnails on here and Id lve it if they would show bigger - thanks :)
