wjbleming
Yeah, they ran out of them early Sunday, but they would've been piled up inside the photo areas for your photo to go into.
natedammit
It was just a cardboard wallety thing (not guest specific) to slip the photo into. You didn't miss out on anything valuable.
Iloveyouiknow
I binned all of mine. Nothing special at all, a guest specific holder would be been nice but again it would have bumped the cost up
timuss
Ah Ok cheers.
MVronsky78
I'm quite pleased with the photo wallets and would be happy to see them back next year - the ideal storage solution for last year's Famke Janssen photo, and any others that didn't come out as hoped for.
Baggieboi
I binned all mine, just a way for showmasters to advertise. Nothing good about them really.
RomeroSavini
While all they are is in your face advertising, and all but one of mine were instantly binned. They do help normal con goers who have no photo protection, as the majority bring nothing and end destroying their photos. So many more people this year had less crunched or creased photos. So they did their job for many I am sure. The lady who emptied my bin at my hotel must have wondered what on earth they were haha
andyfilm_1
I thought they were quite useful in protecting my photo quickly when I was in a rush inbetween overlaps in photo sessions :)
Raylenth
Yeah, not for me as I always have my sturdy plastic box but for casual attendee/newbies who aren't familiar with things like having a case on you they are good.
Wrong Name
I agree with andyfilm_1. Usually I would put mine away in a hard case for better protection but the sleeves were very handy when I was in a rush for another shoot/talk etc. As using them meant I could just throw them in my poster case as I... walked at a slightly faster pace than normal, to whatever was next. Then I added them to the hard case when I had time.
RomeroSavini
Did they say you can buy the digital shots in a few weeks on them? As that is something newer con goers may have no idea about :-) good advertising media. Edited August 4, 2017 by RomeroSavini
clarkee22
I wish so many people hadn't thrown them on the floor in the photo areas, I must have slipped on them about 5 times. I think they were a good idea, would have been better if they were a closer fit to the photo, they just about fit in my a4 plastic box so I had to be careful putting them in. smwdolphin
Would have liked one for my daughter to put her photo in but unfortunately not one of the photo shoots I went to on the Sunday had any left. A better idea would be to have them available but optional so that not so many get wasted.
Moderators etmuse Posted August 4, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2017 I handed several straight back for use for someone who needed one as like many I have a protective case of my own. I'm sure the exact logistics of how these were given out will be looked at for the future.
RomeroSavini
It's big cheap advertising for Showmasters, they will end up all over London. The more they give away, the more people see them :-) so I can see why they gave them to everyone until stock was gone.
GoldenGrego
I didn't find them useful at all, took me ages to get the four corners in the slots cause the other ones would keep popping out. They'll go in the recycling. I brought an a4 wallet folder with me which I found helped a lot
SilvaNemesis
Actually that raises a question, with the Pamela Anderson diamond pass - in the description it mentioned a dog tag, I never received any dog tag. I nearly wasn't even given a lanyard for my pass, it's only because we went back that I got one. So does anyone else of the diamond Pamela's have this dog tag? SilvaNemesis
Ah so we all got 'dog tags' regardless of diamond guest we chose. It's not my idea of what a dog tag is, it's a lanyard and a piece of laminated cardboard. But thank you for clarifying, I appreciate it :) glad I haven't missed out on any Pam bits so to speak! Raylenth
Yes, the dog tag is the plastic pass they clip.

spengler
I found them great. Didnt have anything 'too' protective other than an a4 folder and plastic sleeves, so yes, for me they were an added help.
