Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted August 20, 2015 Showmasters Admin Share Posted August 20, 2015 We have another big event to unveil later on today As most of you all know we run events all over the UK most are in big Arena's but we are finding it hard to fit in all that we have planed into these venues so we have a plan going forward. We have picked 3 locations that have big venues what are much bigger that what an Arena can offer , these venues are going to hold Mega Film and Comic Cons which will have more things to take part in and do over the weekend , we will have a much bigger Gaming Zone , Cosplay Zone , Comic Zone , Small Press Zone , and the new Board Gaming Zone as well as a few more surprises still to come So tune in later today for the exciting news Jason

Raylenth
Would it be NEC though seeing as a competitor has the same type of show there and may have exclusivity?

Raylenth
Well Canada have been awarded a licence to build a space lift so maybe one day....... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/a-canadian-company-is-planning-to-build-a-tower-thats-20km-high-and-could-making-flying-to-space-like-taking-a-passenger-jet-10459058.html
Count Fooku
I can't believe Showmasters are holding an event on the moon, it's totally impractical for me to get there on public transport from Chipping Sodbury.
Raylenth
And you know there will be a shuttle replacement service in operation on whatever date they pick. And people will all moan saying there wasn't enough oxygen in the rooms for the amount of tickets sold, or that the gravity wasn't adjusted high enough so they were floating out of the pictures. benweblight
Think covered stadiums; like Millenium Stadium in Cardiff. I wonder if this will hurt smaller cons around the country.
Moderators DavidB Posted August 20, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 20, 2015 Why would it hurt smaller cons? They'll always have people wanting to go to local ones and quieter ones etc.
dodef
I think he means will the smaller cons be neglected by showmasters not by the fans themselves.
Moderators DavidB Posted August 20, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 20, 2015 I can't see why they would. There'll always be differences in size/guest lists - for example, London will likely always be the biggest for obvious reasons. But they'll all still run as they usually would I imagine.

And you know there will be a shuttle replacement service in operation on whatever date they pick. And people will all moan saying there wasn't enough oxygen in the rooms for the amount of tickets sold, or that the gravity wasn't adjusted high enough so they were floating out of the pictures. Ticket prices would be astronomical. And there'd still be no atmosphere.

Tony1975
Does this topic refer to the change of venue from London to Brighton? I thought it was going to be a new event!
