For those who want to know more about BLOOD TYPE here is the latest press release from the production team THE STORY In a parallel universe, on an Earth like our own, Vampires are a reality – and the dominant species - keeping humans as bloodstock and feeding off them in carefully controlled blood banks belonging to each Feudal clan. Strict laws control the rules of blood, under which the willing surrender of human blood is mandatory! For hundreds of years the two species have existed side by side, but a change is coming. A deadly virus begins to run rampant through the Vampire world - carried, it is believed, by the blood of the inbred human population. The effect is to cause the Vampires to fall into a profound sleep from which they may never awake. Hundreds are maintained in hibernation until a cure is found. Increasingly fearful of extinction and the impending rise of the humans they control, the ‘Sacrament’ – ruling cabal of the Vampire Lords - begins to look elsewhere to replenish their bloodstocks. An ancient technology, developed in secret from the fragments of an ancient meteorite, is the Stepping Stone, a crystalline device enabling the wearer to cross from one parallel universe to another, and even to different periods in time! One of the ‘blood slaves,’ a girl named SOPHIE, possesses a particularly rare strain of blood, [cut Type x] carried only rarely in certain humans and long prized as a source of strength and vitality, and an enabler of Vampire procreation! Sophie’s strong and independent will causes her to rebel against her master, Vampire lord Belisar, and she manages to steal one of the Stepping Stones and flee – to our world! Here, where Vampires are considered figures of myth and legend, Sophie’s viral blood has the power to literally destroy our world. Lost and alone, with her memory wiped by the jump between dimensions, she wanders through the war torn London of 1940. Rescued by Hampton, a young American doctor, who soon falls for her charismatic power, both are unaware that a deadly assassin has been sent to bring her back - or destroy her utterly. When Galen catches up with them it is Hampton who pays the price and becomes the Earth's first real vampire for a thousand years! Now both must search for her, sometimes allies - sometimes enemies, across the multiverse. Their search could destroy both worlds... Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted July 2, 2009 Author Showmasters Admin Share Posted July 2, 2009 Are they going to be signing afterwards? Maybe a limited ticket only signing or even just for those with gold passes would be nice The intention is that the team will be around to promote the trailer on the Saturday at the show. At this stage we are not sure as to their individual availability and whether signings will be a practicality. Mark Ryan is already a confirmed guest for the whole weekend and is the only person who we can advise will be signing as he is already there for that purpose. As part of the screening/ discussion there will be a chance to hear the new song written by Robin Gibb and his son which will feature in the film. Thanks Showmasters
