Dannycarroll2007
Busy but not crazy, 10 o'clock and I've got all my autographs done.
Squirtchy
The summer shows are generally much bigger and have a higher visitor count, how many autographs did you get?
sickkgirl
its probably like that as most people probably be waiting for Carrie and there are not any bigger guests like the summer

DMG
How busy is Katee Sackhoff this morning? I'm going tomorrow just for her. Hopefully I can have a lie in if it's quiet!
TerraHawk
I've been and gone for the morning too, I'd be surprised if all standard entry aren't in before 1pm. Â I certainly didn't need to be earlybird, arrived at 8, paid on day and was in before many prepaid.

Dannycarroll2007
I only got 6 but I didn't queue for anyone but Colin Salmon (what a nice guy). Got around all the stalls and was done in 90 minutes. We would not have been done as quick if we had photos but there was no one my son wanted. The standard entry line looked long so I'd guess it's busier inside now.

Gmorris2504
I'm on the train home already! I arrived at 9:10 and was in within minutes. I got 3 autographs done including a wait and chat with Carrie Fisher and had loads of time round the stalls! I think I may come to the winter show more often
D4vem88
Got in the queue at 8:30, in by 9:05/9:10, got my VQ for Colin Salmon and had a wander round, did the Indiana Jones bike prop then browsed round the stalls, went back to Colin, top bloke! Then went and found James O'Barr, had to wait while he did an interview but that wasn't long, he signed my Crow steelbook and SE book. Managed to wander round the stalls twice and even stopped for a hot chocolate. Was at West Brompton station to come home at 11:50. So not even 3 hours and I was all done! :) So much room to moved about in this time around too
melliott1963
Agree it was nice and easy. Arrived at 9:15am and walked straight in. Got 3 autographs and then my photo with Carrie. Wandered around the stalls, had a Hot Dog (!) and left at 11:45am. Did seem to be getting busy as I was leaving.  I do have one criticism of my photo with Carrie. I noticed that the photographer was taking most of the photos, including mine, in landscape. This meant that Carrie and I were squashed in the middle of the photo with a lot of empty space either side of us. Surely any photographer worth their salt would know that portrait photos would look better proportioned? For £65 I expected a lot better! Nearly all of the photo shoots I've had done whether it's with showmasters or other companies the picture has come out landscape. Personally I prefer it that way.  I guess that there is an element of trust that the photographer will zoom in enough to eliminate the dead space either side of the subject person but overall I've found landscape to be more appealing. As a photographer myself I would agree with you, portrait normally looks better, however this all depends on how large the backdrop is and how the lighting is positioned also most (photographers) what to leave a border around the subject, this isn't always possible when shooting in portrait. Dannycarroll2007
I guess they set up like that because of the multi shoots. The 2 Cool photos would have 4 people minimum.
melliott1963
Danny - The camera wasn't "set up" i.e. on a tripod, but was being held by the photographer. The only time I saw her turn it to portrait was when Carrie was having a photo with a really tall person. Â As GMorris said, as a photographer (which I am), portrait normally looks a lot better. Â My wife made a comment about the photo. Because Carrie was hugging me and because you can't see most of her body, she said it looks like I'm holding Carrie up! Now if it had been taken as a portrait photo with more of our bodies showing, this would not have been the case. The backdrop was huge, so there would have been no problem with the borders. Queen_Sindel
If you have special requests like "Portrait please" let the photographer know at the shoot and they'll be happy to oblige. Â It's hard to get everything right. You say more of your bodies should be showing. There's been a number of complaints too that too much body was showing in the past. The photographers have to find a way inbetween. The best way is always to let them know what you prefer when the photo is taken.
Dannycarroll2007
We didn't get any photos today but normally the photos are excellent. My son had a picture with Carrie in the summer and it was a great picture.
CosmicAvatar
As an attendee, I loved how quiet it was - so much cooler and easier to move around, and the photoshoot queues were really quick too. I worry it was a little too quiet, though, especially for a Saturday. For example: there are always going to be guests who don't have many visitors, but I think some were left alone for longer than usual.
Rockstar6662
Seemed busier than last winter one to me but it's always quieter, fewer high profile guests (IMO) and the summer was really escalated out of all proportion by the Stan Lee effect. Â I was finished just after 10:30 apart from the BSG talk but it was great to spend time with friends and actually wander around the stalls without fighting every step of the way. Firecracker
Much better compared to summer. All my photos were 2pm onwards (what a waste of an earlybird!) and so I could rock up, walk in and no problem.
wesley1980
Can't belive how different today was. Arrived for 10 completed photo session with Michael and Katee and also a sign session done all my shopping lest by 11.45 retuned to see Chris Barrie for 2 and still quite. Do have to say the staff were so much on the ball this time. Â Looking forward to next winter event
stephy749
Yeah I know it almost felt too quiet, maybe I'm just getting used to the busy busy summer ones. Some of the guests were really quiet and I felt sorry for them, I would have talked to them but I had no idea who they were so I just avoided making eye contact.
