Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted October 3, 2006 Showmasters Admin Share Posted October 3, 2006 Hi all, For a number of weeks we have been in final negotiations with Brandon Routh's people sorting out the details for his appearance at Collectormania G-Mex next month. All was looking fine until last week when we were informed that he was required to attend a Superman DVD launch in the USA on the Saturday of the G-Mex show. This may cause a problem with his attending this show, and we will know more details in the next couple of days. However Mr Routh's people have said he would like to attend one of our events early next year if he is not able to attend Collectormania G-Mex. This is still up in the air at the moment, but as soon as we have more details we will let you know. This still could go either way and even if we cannot arrange for him to appear all weekend there is still a chance he will be available for the Sunday. Also, My work now want holidays in up till october next year, is there any chance of knowing def dates for events such as GMEX 3, Celebration Europe etc? I've already got holidays for C11 and 12 in, but would ideally like to know the other dates ASAP so that I may get the time off work to attend your events... rickyparty Posted October 3, 2006 Share Posted October 3, 2006 It's a shame Brandon may not be attending as my brother and I bought Gold Passes for the first time to be sure we'd be able to meet him. However, as many have said if he's agreed to appear once it means there is potential for him to appear again and there are still some great guests at the November G-Mex to look forward to meeting. SlippDigby Posted October 3, 2006 Share Posted October 3, 2006 I, and I am sure very many others, would be grateful if SM will post, AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE, exactly if BR will appear only on Sunday. My attendance at G-Mex II was going to be based soley on his being a guest there. I personally feel (now that we have lost CONCORD) that his being there on Sunday only is very doubtful. Great shame. Mondasant63 Posted October 4, 2006 Share Posted October 4, 2006 Personally I'd rather see Brandon attend something like C11 for three or four days than see him rush people through on one day at G-MEX2. If he's got good management then I'm sure they'll see the benefits both financially and with regard to fan's opinions of him. We've had too much badmouthing of guests in recent years due to people being herded through stars queues by agents and managers trying to force as much money out of as many people as possible. Getting your client to attend an event for three or four days gives more fans a chance to meet them and usually leads to more cash being spent (I often see a guest on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday and then again on a Monday if they're not busy). On the subject of dates, I would also love to know the G-Mex 3 & 4, LFCC 2007 and CM12 dates as next year is looking a little crowded, lol! Thanks again Showmasters!
