  1. Thanks for this, it is a shame about Kenny Baker but he has been overdoing the events this year and I think the man is due a rest.
  2. The ticket prices for the Terry Nation event are high because they cover a two day event and allow you one autograph per guest on your own items. I hope this clears things up for you.
  3. Thanks, any idea of prices for these guests?
  4. I know this event is running concurrently with the Terry Nation tribute weekend being run by Tenth Planet. They have a specially recorded video message from Roger Moore as a part of their event as he is not attending it, however this doesn't mean that he's not necessarily attending the Autographica event does it?
  5. The main reason I asked this question is because of people booking time off in advance. I run my own business so in order to get someone to cover for me I need to give them advance warning of the days I need them. A lot of people don't attend all of the events and don't subscribe to the forum so they rely on the main page to keep them informed. If a guest is still on the main page then it can sway their decision to take the time out. It isn't the first time that guests have been on the front page long after there cancellation and it probably won't be the last. A guest's image should ideally be removed the minute that SM know that person isn't coming.
  6. Seeing as how Patrick Stewart's cancellation has been known about for a while, I was just wondering how long his photo will be on the main page before being moved to the cancelled guests section. It does seem like his image is being used to attract potential attendees when SM know that he isn't coming.
  7. I don't mind him turning up with the CD at these events, it's his insistence on playing the damned thing that I can't take any more. I met him at a one-off event a year ago and it was constantly on in the background. I think this is his revenge for all of the negativity his resistance to signing Dracula merchandise has generated.
  8. For me it's the very variety of Autographica that makes it so attractive. I have no interest in the astronauts but do find it fascinating talking to some of the WWII guests, even if I'm not getting an autograph. Anyway, we do have precisely what you suggest in the line-up, with the astronauts and Tony Curtis being the headlining draws and the soldiers/sailors/airmen filling the other slots along with a good selection of other actors and actresses. Limiting the number of guests may seem like a good idea if you can guarantee a particular level of quality (which is a highly personal thing anyway) but for the general attendee it simply wouldn't work.
  9. This might help Thanks for this, just ordered a couple of photos as I can't make it on the Saturday.
  10. I was lucky enough to meet this man a few years ago at a different, none-SM backed event and I have to say that it was a real pleasure. Ray Harryhausen had been a hero of mine since I first watched Jason And The Argonauts and to meet him and shake his hand was a dream come true. He's definitely one of the best guests I've ever met and really interesting to talk to.
  11. You'd think that the BBC would be happy with all of the extra publicity that attending one of these events would bring them, wouldn't you.
  12. With three companions next year, it would be a great time to gather David Tennant, Catherine Tate, Billie Piper & Freema Agyeman under one roof.
  13. As this Autographica is close to Doctor Who's 45th Anniversary next year I'd like to see some of the really rare actors, actresses and behind-the-scenes people attend this event. Ideally I'd like to see Carole Ann Ford, Maureen O'Brien, Jackie Lane, William Russell, Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Raymond Cusick and John Barrowman amongst others.
  14. Dead Like Me Reunion Roswell Reunion Rare Doctor Who guests (Jackie Lane, Maureen O'Brien, Carole Ann Ford etc) Peter Falk Christopher Lee Billy Dee Williams
  15. This news kinda makes me glad I couldn't pre-book my fast track tickets, now I have the option of attending on whichever day has the better guest list. Woo, and as they say, hoo
