Mowgli on Netflix. It's a very good film, much truer to the original story than the cartoon Disney version (can't remember much about the more recent live action/cgi Jungle Book so can't compare it to that), though a different ending, but still an enjoyable film. It has an impressive cast list, and the young lad who played Mowgli was amazing in the role. Very sad around the end of the film and I'll admit I was crying a bit! All in all a good film by Andy Serkis and worth the wait. Definitely not one for the younger kids though, for one particular scene specifically. If I were to be critical about anything, the CGI is a bit dodgy in places and for some of the animals and I think they humanised the animals too much with human eyes, it made them look too weird. I know it's had mixed reviews but I really enjoyed it.

Would absolutely LOVE to see Miranda Otto join Lucy Davis at the con, especially since she seems to really be willing to do cons again and said she'd totally do one if invited. And Michelle Gomez would be a lovely addition to that duo.

I'm not at this event, but if you're going, Bernard is a really fantastic chap to meet, and one of my most memorable. I had a photo session with him at LFCC a few years ago, and as I walked away, a crewmember came after me, Bernard had requested I go back for another picture as he wanted to do something with my hair... and this was it... One of the nicest guests you could want to meet, without a doubt!
