Good idea, pretty sure no one would be selfish enough to actually try it, as the last thing you want is the actors getting hassled outside the event and not coming back for more events.

You'd be surprised. There's always people that plan on trying to meet guests outside the con hotels etc. I don't doubt they'd be willing to take it further.

Hope that isn't con attendees as they should know better...of course that doesn't apply to the autograph hunters who don't attend events who will stalk guests wherever they go.
I have very occassionally waited by stage door at a few shows but would never dream to go to a hotel or restuarant to ambush actors but i understand that some do.

I agree. It's a shame it has to come to that. 
I've done the stage door thing too, I've seen actors go to a pub or restaurant afterwards but I'd never dream of following them, however much I'd like to. I'm a private person so I know I'd hate it.
