Hi I would love to go to this but with only three months to go and only one guest announced I'm not willing to fork out for a ticket, arrange hotel and transport just to have it cancelled like a few of your cons last year. When are you going to announce any more guests? Libra

I know the weekends not over but I just want to say a Massive Thankyou to Massive Events and all the stars who came over. This is the first on I've done on crutches and everyone has been really considerate and helpful, nothing is to much trouble. Even the hotel staff have been good. Thankyou Mark, Jason, Rick, Teryl, Flu, Gary, Dan, and all the stewards who are too numerous to mention, but especially Andrew and Mara for the excellent care they took of me on the meal out.

being cheecky and asking if VIP's are getting copies as part of the package or they exepcted to pay too

Just bought mine regardless of where the meal is going to be, treating it as an incentive to get out of hospital Personally I don't think its a stupid question as if its going to be held in Birmingham theres travel costs and times to be considered. Not all of us have had VIP tickets before so don't know how they work, so please keep the sarcastic remarks to your self.

Hi I know tickets are non-transferable but did I read somewhere that they could be re-sold by Massive Events if for some reason someone couldn't come? If so whats the latest I could re-sell my ticket if I don't get out of hospital or get medical permission to come. This is just a query I AM planning to still come just checking my options. Thanks

A friend and I were sitting having a drink in the Oak and Advocado on Sunday lunchtime and we watched the girl behind the bar get flustered trying to cope with people ordering room service and trying to fill the orders for people in the O and A. At one point a man complained he had been waiting for a roast beef sandwich for over an hour, the reply he got was 'we're trying to serve 700 people' The O and A only has 8 tables and this girl couldn't even remeber who had ordered what. If the hotel is going to hold cons then they need to supply extra staff to cover the busy periods, its common sense and ME is not the only people to hold cons there so you would have thought the Thistle would have learnt by now. Still a good con though.

We're hoping for some rooms to be released at the con rate as well. Hope this is possible. Me too! I just texted my friend to tell him the actual rate - he nearly had heart attack! We want to stay on Sunday night too, but he's said if we have to pay full rate then we'll only stay Friday and Saturday. I've just tried to book a room and was told it was £127 per night bed and breakfast.

if you book a family room you get a double bed and a single. You could point out it's for three adults and I can't see what the problem would be. Your all adults and if 2 want to share bed its got nothing to do with the staff. All I can say about the Northhampton one is the weekend staff don't always speak brilliant english so you'll possibly get away with it. I know they don't speak english very well cos i spent a30 minutes this morning trying to get one of them to phone the maintance manager to authorise one of his workers ot come in and disconnect a faulty hairdryer. Bull headedness on my part won the day.

So I'm sitting here in my hotel room at The Hub 2 having just been informed that Hub 3 is going to be the week befire this one and they already have 5 guests signed up, but nobody's saying anything about our guests. As much as I kinda like Nicholas Brendon I don't think he's worth the cost of a silver ticket so I'm gonna be pretty pissed if he's the headliner and I have to pass up Hub 3 because I can't afford both within a week. What's going on guys when are we getting announcements?

My feelings when I found out the November weekend had been cancelled was pretty mcuh, 's@@T'. However it did force me to broaden my horizons again and see what else was out there, as over the last few years I was stuck in a Collectormania rut. Thankfully I discovered the Hub event, which was a three day event which I hadn't done in a long time, but I am so glad I did it, and if Collectormania had been on I wouldn't have, so I for one would like to say thanks Showmasters you helped restored my faith in three day cons dedicated to a particular programme. To those who are saying no, keep it in Novemeber, I would love to suggest just browsing and seeing what else is out there in October/November, and YES it will be nice to have something like Collectormania in the summer as often the summer months are dry spells where cons are concerned.

Hi Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere, but don't have much time at the moment to go through posts. I've bought 2 tickets for the con, one for myself and another for a friend. I understand our names won't be on the tickets, but 1) We will both get a registration pack and 2) Do we both need to bring ID or is that just me as I'm the one paying for them Please clarify this for me and I'm very sorry if it's already been asked elsewhere.
