  1. Agree that we know the risks, but I think tickets could be at least transferable. I know it's more work for the organisers, but then at least nobody loses out. If you are unable to transfer your ticket, you can't blame the organisers, because at least they gave you that option to try (most charge anyway for the option, but you wouldn't be as out of pocket as you could be with the situation as it stands). Two weeks ago, I was given a surgery cancellation date - today (Sat), which I had to take or wait 2 more months for my procedure, so I now can't do tomorrow (Sunday). In this situation, Ron cancelling has done me a favour because I've got my money back. However I lose my money on a Rutger Hauer photo shoot and entry ticket. If I could sell them on, then everyone would be happy. But as the situation stands, it's lucky I'm not losing money on a Diamond pass. Something like my situation can't be helped, which is why I think it is unfair they don't at least offer a transfer option.
  2. Would love to meet Dambuster George "Johnny" Johnson, as he cancelled last time. I can but hope
  3. I found the ET one wasnt good - I had it redone & still wasn't happy. I do know my photography & in this one, when you're taking a photo of a subject, it helps to be standing up, so you are at least level with your subject. This guy was sitting down & I look (more) awful (than usual) but didn't want to ask for a 3rd retake, as I had to head off for another one. Should've done & asked him to stand up (the first one I was side on, so that was my fault), really.
  4. Has anyone bought a VIP ticket yet? I bought Gold & didn't even see that option - that'll teach me to read the whole shop before purchasing!! Is it possible to upgrade should I want to??
  5. Does anyone know when tickets will go on sale for this? Thanks..........*impatiently waiting*
  6. According to the shop, there is still availability. I have booked my room at the Park Inn, just in case I decide to buy some sort of ticket. I'm guessing there are 4 available again? I was VIP1 at the last Chevron & if you really like the guests, it is worth it! Ben Browder has me about halfway decided but I'm waiting to see who else is announced!
  7. If you mean this one, this is the nearest I have to it:
  8. When we were asked to get closer, I said to one of the people behind me - "The least you could do is buy me dinner first!" after they'd joked to the other 2 behind them that they'd end up with a restraining order!
  9. Highs 1. I know I paid for it, but having a VIP ticket so I didn't have to queue horrendously (for autos I did a bit but not for photos) was so worth it & being the first VIP to be processed, making me VIP1, was an added bonus. 2. Meeting all the guests. 3. Sitting next to RDA at the Sat night evening meal & having Dan opposite me & Fulvio a couple of people away (this being the main reason I bought the VIP ticket, as this meal was the 2nd most expensive one I'd got - the Michael Shanks one was the most expensive & the other 2 were a lot cheaper.) 4. Spending time with Fulvio, who was the most sociable guest I've ever met! 5. Meeting lots of different people again. Lows 1. Totally understandable, but felt like a conveyer belt through the photoshoots. 2. For 1 panel, VIP4 got the aisle seat in the front row, but there were 3 gold ticket holders who got the 3 seats next to her where the stage was, meaning myself & the other 2 VIP's had to sit further along. One VIP said they were told to! We should've been swapped with the gold ticket holders & the VIP's should have had central seats for the whole time - I'm sorry but we did pay a lot of money for this convention & the wording was "Your priority chosen seating at all stage events", but I couldn't find someone to say something. So we just made sure we got there early & even made our own labels to put on the seats & I was told they still got moved! But we were OK for the other panels - if we weren't, I certainly would've made sure we were! 3. Coming home! Don't want to do that again!!
  10. Kirk - That first picture!!!!!! OMFG!!!!!
  11. You can join any queue at any time you like. That's true for other VIPs, but not for you because you were cheeky in another thread. You have to watch through a window and aren't allowed to participate but *sniff* I'm bringing *sniff* chocolate!!!!!
  12. Looking goooood! Where do the VIP's fall into this?
  13. I won't but my PC might - cuts 'n' all........ .
