TerraHawk Posted June 5, 2011 Share Posted June 5, 2011 I hum themes from Star Wars on a near daily basis, Trek less so. I have Star Wars T-Shirts, no Trek I collect Star Wars autographs, not Trek. And while I have the first 10 Trek movies, TOS and its sequel series, I have no immediate desire to see them again soon. Done with it for the moment. I got: TOS 3 seasons TAS 1 season TNG 7 seasons DS9 7 seasons Voyager 7 seasons Enterprise 4 seasons That makes 29 seasons. What am I missing to get 30 seasons? Drebble Darkwing Posted June 7, 2011 Share Posted June 7, 2011 Tough choice as I love them both. But as someone else already said here - "There is so much more Trek to watch than Star Wars". I have spent the last 6 months rewatching TNG with my son. We have watched Star Wars to the point that my discs must be warn out and we can recit the lines!!!!! Trek is still fresh to watch. Thats like setting up a fight between Mike Tyson and Stephen Hawkins. Sure... Star Trek have good movies and they are smart.... But Star Wars wins with knockout within seconds... BUT if you compare all over what there is etc when it comes to Star Trek and Star Wars, I prefer Star Trek. As a little footnote, if there would have been as much TV-shows in Star Wars as in Star Trek, then I think that Star Wars would prolly be my choice :) My last words though is... One is a TV franchise and one is a movie franchise which puts them both worlds apart (no pun intended) for a start. It would be like comparing the TV series Danger man with the James Bond movies.
