Sab Posted October 21, 2008 Share Posted October 21, 2008 Kai N Gareth comin to chat to us several times during the weekend 'Moshing' with Gareth Tlkin to John n his sis Naoko n the AWWWWHH n her running for a wee Sat night play, tht was the funniest thing i've seen in a long time n finally a crew member tlked to us alot on Sunday, was wearing a white top n jeans, Andy might have been his name? The relaxed raunchiness of the whole thing. Meeting and finding lots of new friends. The panels -- "It just isn't gay enough for you people, is it?!" ROTFL! The stripping. THE PLAY! Kai and Gareth dropping their pants on stage. The Saturday play...more please. Naoko telling me she loved my curls in my hair Tha taxi ride back from the dinner....Gareth and Kai...you....i can't say it but OH MY GOD! The taxi ride to the dinner.....i was in the taxi with the weevils Andy Jones, Richard Tunesi and John's body double...oh what a ride...it was brilliant...and by the end of the ride i wanted dinner with them 3...Hot Weevil...oh my god... Hot Weevil aka Andy Jones telling me he was dissapointed we didn't get to finsih our little chat but we will soon... Meeting Paul Kasey....that man is a legend...love him. Paul Kasey teaching me the Weevil dance at the dinner. Gareth telling me i'm weird but giving me a respect nudge with the knuckles. The cocktail party antics.....think i scared Gareth from that moment on....still at least it made him recall me...well he kept taking the mick after forgetting my name and callng me Laura when all he wanted to call me was ghosthunter. The intimate encounter with Gareth...what a laugh. Kai Owen...just loved him and he was soooooo lovely to talk to on Sunday...Kai i will email your agent soon. Gareth serendaing me with Dance Magic Dance whilst i bobbed at the dinner table. Naoko calling me croc girl.....so funny. Gareth telling me my 1940s dress was the devil. Andy Jones and Richard Tunesi posing for photos with me right before they were due to leave...bless them...they are so my new faves. The Weevils gang and body double stage antics...loved them. Actually i could go on and on and on cos it was all crazy....made some great new friends and alot more. goddessmaat Posted October 21, 2008 Share Posted October 21, 2008 Hard to pick just one or two things: probably the play, and Gareth coming on stage with the inflatable sheep handcuffed to his wrist - made somewhat funnier by the fact that I was sitting next to the people who gave it to him, and Kai leading everyone in singing Hymns & Arias lol. shamazipan Posted October 21, 2008 Share Posted October 21, 2008 Oh there are so many things! - meeting a lot of the people that I'd previously met in Newport - meeting people that I'd only ever spoken to on msn for the first time. - Teewood being ever so kind as to bring me a NJD Hockey jersey! - John remembering my name and thanking me for my question that got used on the panel.. - Intimate Encounter with Gareth. - Gareth and John and Kai snogging lots. - The play - the parties - Dancing in a big group at what we thought was the last song, putting all our effort into it only for the DJ to play two more songs! and lots more stuff! It really was an amazing con and I'd go as far as to say it was the best one I've ever been too and I've been to a LOT! But the higher than high points? A very sureal moment when my friend and I (dressed as Captains Jack and John) got the lift on Saturday morning with Gareth. Mainly because I was thinking how odd it would have been if something like that happened. The talks, I don't think I have laughed so much in a long time! Brilliant. Captain Jacks office. Not only did I get a really cool pic of me sat at the desk in costume but I ended up sleeping in there on Saturday night (ok, it was more like 6am on Sunday morning ) That was one epic night and I don't think I'll ever forget the sight of Ian Hilditch in a gas mask saying 'Are you my Mummy?' at 5am.
