I would love to go, but short of funds and the only person who could induce me going into (more) debt to attend this would be the lovely Mr Somerhalder <3 It's a difficult time, but with this con being 9 weeks away & no guests the tickets probably aren't selling at a speedy rate. FX it goes ahead

I need £1000 - lol! I definitely want to go, but need to acquire some money first. Will probably get tickets in a couple of months.

According to the 10th planet site, he has agreed to be at Bad Wolf, although he is not on the main pictures for it yet.

I really really want to go, but unfortunately have worked out that this would cost me about £400 that I just don't have right now. (2 tickets, train, hotel, food etc). But I know everyone will have a fab time. Eclipse 2 was great, and this one being more intimate will be even better. And Jason & Mark always put so much effort into these cons, with all the attention to detail - right down to posters and table decorations. A lot of work goes into this and it's appreciated by the attendees. I can honestly say that the Massive Events cons have been the best I've ever gone to , and it's great that they are still going ahead with this rather than cancelling the event. I just wish I could magic some money so I could come too!

Hi all I have never been to a 10th planet con, but seriously considering this one as my son loves Dr Who and Sarah Jane Adventures and would love to meet some of the guests attending. I was just wondering will there be photos with the guests on sale at the con, as I can't afford gold or silver tickets and it doesn't look like you can buy them in advance. I just wanted to check this before I go ahead and buy tickets. Thanks (in advance) for any help.

I won't be going to this one, because I can't justify the expense and simply don't have the money. However, I do think E1 was successful because early on (at least 6 months before) Zach was announced, then Greg Grunberg a month or 2 later, and even though they both eventually cancelled I'm sure their announcements would have encouraged people to buy tickets. I personally feel it's the same with The Hub conventions - because the main stars were announced, tickets sold. I understand that its difficult to fork out for guests, especially those from the states, well in advance, but I certainly think that 1 great guest announced early is very beneficial for ticket sales. Then subsequent guests can depend on initial sales. Twilight sells itself because everyone seems to be obsessed with Twilight at the moment (not entirely sure why though!) I must admit, with no guests announced until a couple of months ago, I was holding off from buying a ticket. I probably would somehow have scraped the money together back in January had there been a great guest announcement. But now, even though I'd love to meet Greg, there is just no way I can find the money for this, especially as it's also a 3.5hr drive for me too. I will be sad that SM won't be doing any more Heroes cons, but I can understand why when they are losing money on these cons.

Same here! It's not really the case though. They are doing plenty of other cons where guests are announced before they have sold any tickets, so they are not waiting for our money before booking guests otherwise they would never get anywhere. Without guest announcements it will be difficult to sell tickets. I for one would not buy a ticket until I know there is going to be at least 1 guest!

It's only 3 months away. I'm surprised nothing has happened yet with a guest announcement. Not complaining but still, surprised.

I love Merlin. Not sure it would draw in the crowds for a full on con though, although it would be great to meet them at one of the Collectormanias.

Yes, he was lovely (and cuddly!), and his wife was really nice too. Bring him back! And get Zach too!!!

That was me - LOL. I was on the phone. But I'm sure you did better than I would have anyway. All in all, a great weekend. I had some good long chats with the guests. Definately the best con yet. I'd love to go to Eclipse 3 but waiting to see if my budget allows it!

Because they were on sale at Eclipse 1 on the Sunday.
