  1. Hey Caz, am a Silhillian in exile! Whereabouts in Solihull are you? Hi, sorry only just seen this. We live in Dorridge. NO WAY!!! LOL I lived in Bentley Heath - Mom and Dad are still there Small world And funnily enough I live in Barnet now and there's a Bentley Heath just up the road from us... Did you go to Arden - such a fabulous school with excellent teachers like Mr Moss with his trendy basin haircut!! Yep, class of 96 - actually, I missed our school renuion cos it clashed with the Hub. Or vice versa lol Mr Moss - hilarious hair and had the whole scary white hair/raven black eyebrows thing going on. oh and the whole affair with Mrs Earl thing too I was lucky and had Mrs Hill as head of year!! Happy memories I think I recognise you.. I think you said hello to my hubby at the hub and was trying to work out why I recognised you, then si told me you both went to sol 6th form and that you went to arden and I'm sure I used to chat to you at school. I didnt get a chance to ask you at the hub as was busy lookin after my little girl and we had a lot of too-ing and fro-ing from the ibis. We are staying at the park inn though for the hub 2 so may get a chance to catch up with you this time *lightbulb moment* Caroline right? LOL ok, now it all falls into place lol. Yep, I met Si at SSFC (we did GNVQ science)- it was so strange cos I saw you both at registration and cos Si had his sunnies on, I was like I'm sure I know that bloke.... haha. He hasnt changed a bit! Actually my best memory of Si was in our last couple of months at college. My Grandad died and our t*** of a biology teacher told me that if I didnt come in on the morning of his funeral to hand something in he'd fail me. I was really upset and Si was so sweet because he told me not to worry cos he'd give me a lift home when we were done. I'll never forget what a sweet gesture that was and it meant a lot to me at the time. Bless him (he'd cringe if he read that Im sure). Your little girl looked well cute, I was surprised how many kids were there. Were you Year of 94 or 95? Arden was a laugh at times.... I'm at the Park this time too - my friend was tipped off about the rooms so she legged it back to get us a room each. It's also my birthday on the Friday so it'd be nice to say hi and have a drink
  2. Aah yeah, the lovely lady in the white dress who told you she loved your Cleopatra Costume and then we all went off on one about Jack and Ianto and we were in there for AGES!!!!! lol Aah yes, Andy was gonna pop off and then he came back *awws*

  5. If you're coming into London then it's straight on the Picadilly line and then change onto the Northern Line either at Leicester Square or Kings Cross.... takes a good hour from heathrow to Euston. Then get the London Midland service to Northampton which again takes about an hour (depending on the number of Stops)
  6. more events on Friday would be fab but then I'm biased cos its my birthday lol

  8. "Keeper of the Weevil Nicknames" that's me (and Happy Camps number one fan lol)
  9. 1. Name: Becky (or shorter, Bex) 2. Age: 28 3. Location: Barnet, North London 4. Ticket Type: Silver 5. Reason for going: The Hub was my first convention and I enjoyed it so much I HAVE to go again. And I wanna go dressed up this time. Oh and it's my 29th on March 13th so what better way to celebrate?!
  10. Steff, I love your photos but that one with you "chinning" Kai is brilliant . Reminds me of seeing everyone else's piccies and how he was doing loads of different poses. I loved the one where he nicked some girls black trilby and looked so cool lol
  11. Nerys Hughes - total legend and she was fantastic in Something Borrowed
  12. I think that's a little debatable - we roomed with Kasey and she'd booked a twin room but we got put in a double, not exactly the best thing when you've never met the people you're rooming with! Luckily Kasey had an airbed with her and was happy to use that (plus Angel and I know each other so didn't mind sharing a bed) but I did think it was a very poor show on the part of the hotel, especially as they didn't even tell us they'd bumped us into a double when we checked in. Plus I know there were people who had issues with getting extra pillows etc in their rooms. That said, the rooms were clean and as far as I'm concerned that's the only thing that matters as it's only crash space... but I can appreciate how other people like their comforts and were not happy with the Ibis. Compared to some of the dives I've stayed in in the past, it wasnt bad Though I do agree that it isnt great of them to bump you from the room you originally booked, like you say, particularly when you dont know the people you are sharing with. Did they try and alter the price because of this? We were lucky - my friend and I know each other through a Forum for a band we both like and met several times at gigs. We didnt know we'd both booked for the Hub and originally she had a double room but when she heard I need space she swapped for a twin room. This was back at the beginning of August though. Hope you dont get as much hassle this time around - there's enough to organise with these things as it is without the hotel mucking you about
  13. Wow, that was really quick!! My friend who I stayed in the Ibis with last week was still in Northampton luckily on Monday when she received a tip off that the Inn had booked out of singles and triples (I think). She ran back to the hotel and booked us a double room each. The Ibis wasnt bad and the walk backwards and forwards was ok. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
  14. Thanks Jola managed to get an advance with pay so I've just bought my silver ticket!!! WOOO HOOOO
