haha I thought that was Jareds thing? I would love to see a smallville con it may have to be paired with something but it would be awesome we will see how busy Michael Rosenbaum is at c14. I would love to meet Allison Mack :D but my friend had a bad experience with her

i agree i think a smallville con would be awesome! :P besides michael, what other smallville guests do cons? i know tom doesn't :D

Erica does, so does Eric Johnson, Allison Mack, laura vandervoort, John Schneider, Jensen Ackles, James Marsters, Justin Hartley, Ian Somerhalder, Tahmoh Penikett, Sarah Carter.

ooooh so quite a few then? i know jensen does haha - big fan :o

do you tink there is much chance of SM holding a smallville one?

We'll probably have to see how well Michael does at C14.

Mitchell Kosterman (Sheriff Ethan)

Ian Somerhalder (Adam Knight)

James Marsters (Milton Fine)

Sarah Carter (Alicia Baker)

Bruce Harwood (Ben Powell)

Adrianne Palicki (Kara)

Richard Kahan (Brennan)

Bit of a random order sorry, that's how my brain works. It won't be complete, but it gives you a vague idea

Considering the conversation that Jason and I had on the Friday evening of Eclipse 1, it is a shame not to see "Firefly" being considered.

It is, but then they've all been across before and it's nothing new. On the other hand it would go down better IMO than some of those considered in the poll.

Do you know whos done eiter Collectormanias or LFCC's or will Michael Rosenbaum be the first?

Just out of who I mentioned, I think Michael will indeed be the first main cast Smallville guest we've had.

John Schneider was announced at one point, but had to cancel.

Other than that, just guests like James Marsters that may have been in the show, but aren't primarily known for it really

I'd just like to add that, even though I'm no fan myself, a Twilight con seems like an extremely viable concept to me. There's no denying its huge and rising popularity; and though I know it isn't SM's prime objective to capitalize, if there is an opportunity to host any such event, I think it would be foolish to pass it up. With the right guests, I would bet money tickets will sell out within mere weeks!

I'm really rooting for a Potter convention. I think there's been only one in the world so far. You will get loads of people coming, as it is massive all over the world. And the good thing is, you can get quite a lot of guests turning up as well, as they are (almost) all British. This will of course also save on travel expenses and such. :whistling:

Oh and also, I just realllly, reaaaallly, reaaaalllllly want to meet more Potter guests :D

OH MY GOD SHOWMASTERS!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE do a Supernatural con!!!!! Its looking quite good at the moment and it would be so cool cos there are hardly any supernatural cons in the uk and it has a really dedicated fanbase so I know lots of people would want to go to one!!!!!!!!! :whistling:

Buffy/Angel

This would be the only con on the list I’d be likely to attend. Yes, it’s been done but the fanbase is one of the most loyal in fandom and continues to be extremely popular. Given the high calibre of Buffy/Angel guests SM have managed to get in the past to their events, and the large number of cast to pick from, this could prove to be a great choice. The interest is definitely still high and as far as I’m aware, both shows are no longer covered by rival organisations so there won’t be any competition in trying to attract guests.

House/Grey's Anatomy

I like the idea of this con and while I love both shows, I only think this would work if the guest list was made up of main cast which may prove tricky and expensive. Cons work best with genre shows for the reason that cult fanbases tend to be the most passionate and dedicated. While a huge amount of people watch both Grey’s and House, the majority of fans wouldn’t be the type to pay for a con. Personally speaking, I would gladly hand over £70 for just Hugh Laurie and Olivia Wilde from House, but given that you shouldn’t book for specific guests, I would only likely book for this once all guests were announced.

no offence guys, but usually the convention organisers in this country try not to poach eachother's specialist shows and as you know there is aready a successful convention for Supernatural in this country.

That is very true. i wonder why they made it an option in the poll :S

Even if they likely won't run a convention in direct opposition, I would imagine the results can give an idea of the popularity of the show for signing events perhaps, or in the future if other conventions stop :YAHOO:

I don't think they really see 'signing events' as direct opposition for 'conventions' - after all, we've had Buffy and Angel guests in the past, we've had Stargate guests in the past etc, and those things have had conventions in the same years.

In the end, a lot of people who attend 'signing events' don't attend 'conventions', and so I think it's a little different in terms of competition.

Will this be replacing the other Manchester event? If so I think it'd be quite cool to keep it in Manchester and up North. Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures for me, they're my fave shows
