  1. awesome I'm getting very excited about this weekend now and I'm very tempted by the Sunday group photoshoot, pretty sure I'll be buying that and if I can find the money, hopefully the Saturday one too! Like David, I'm also glad the Saturday starts at 9:30, means I've got an extra half an hour to get to the hotel and get registered etc as I'm travelling up that morning, 4am coach haha.
  2. ooooh yay, I loved her as Rosita, can't wait to meet her!
  3. this is awesome I've really gotten into Waterloo Road recently so I'm always watching him on TV at the moment!
  4. oooh this is wicked, Father's Day is one of my favourite episodes I'm so glad I'm going to this event, the line-up as it is now is amazing, how about asking Camille Coduri to join him? that'd be like the cherry on top haha!
  5. yesss I'm really happy about this, she was wicked as Mels, looking forward to meeting her!
  6. I honestly never expected K9 to come as a guest but I'll be honest, this is actually pretty cool haha!
  7. ahhh that's wicked, I'm really happy about today's announcements of Andrew and Anthony I've been wanting to meet Anthony for a long time now and he's been in a lot of things I watch, it'll be good to hear what he has to say in the talks.
  8. met him at Bad Wolf a few years ago and he was really nice, went to his guest encounter too looking forward to meeting him again!
  9. It's weird but the guest announcements since David have all been nearly a week apart from each other. Lachele was on the 31st July, Jeremy on the 8th August and James on the 15th. The last two have been Wednesdays too so I'm hoping we might hear something tomorrow, yeahh... I'm probably reading into all that a bit too much, probably just a coincidence haha!
  10. cool stuff met him at Hub 6 and he was really nice, The Fires of Pompeii is one of my favourite episodes of Doctor Who and Sleeper is one of my favourite episodes of Torchwood too!
  11. I'd love for Freema to come she seems so lovely and I've never managed to make it to any of the other conventions she's been to so yeahh, pretty please Showmasters/Massive Events? would be really good to see her at Lords of Time!
  12. thanks for clearing that up about the mixture of new and classic Doctor Who guests :-) I'm also glad to hear that the convention will definitely be going ahead and can't wait to see who else you announce over the next few weeks!
  13. very interesting guest, look forward to meeting her!
  14. I'm quite surprised there hasn't been any other announcements too but I still have faith that Massive Events will pull it off in the end. I'm sure they'll have asked some other guests to come by now and I'm hoping the reason we haven't heard anything is because they're really hoping and trying to get certain guests who maybe haven't replied or finalised their contracts yet. Having said that, it has been quite quiet on here and a lot of questions have still gone unanswered. A lot of people were wondering whether this would just be a new series convention or a mixture of both old and new but we still don't know any more than we did at the beginning of the month despite people asking more than once. This doesn't look good as it makes people wonder whether it has even been decided by the organisers yet. I know a lot of people are waiting to hear more information about the convention or more guest names before booking but it's now running quite last minute for them to book things. I've already booked my silver ticket and hotel and am looking forward to it but at the moment, I'm just hoping it does actually go ahead and doesn't get cancelled. This is the first time I've had tickets for a convention that has only had one guest announced with only 40 days to go, but I've got to say, it is an amazing guest at that. Here's hoping we'll hear some news soon.
  15. There's loads of people I'd love to meet so I'll list some of my favourites from the new seasons. Obviously the bigger guests are going to be more expensive but I'd love to see Freema at this convention alongside David. I've not met her yet but I've heard she's lovely from everyone who has and I'm sure she'd be great at a weekend convention. Main Cast: Matt Smith, Christopher Eccleston, Freema Agyeman, Billie Piper, Catherine Tate, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and Alex Kingston. Other: Camille Coduri, Shaun Dingwall, Noel Clarke, Bernard Cribbins, Jacqueline King, John Simm, Christian Cooke, Georgia Moffett, Andrew Hayden-Smith, Sophia Myles, Mark Sheppard, David Morrissey, Jessica Hynes, Harry Lloyd, Tom Hopper, Suranne Jones, Marc Warren, Florence Hoath, Tony Curran, Peter Capaldi, Mark Gatiss, Lindsay Duncan, Derek Jacobi, Michelle Ryan, Nina Toussaint-White, Toby Jones, Daisy Haggard, Penelope Wilton, Rory Jennings and Annette Badland. Yeahh, that's quite a lot haha. Obviously it depends on whether the guests will be available on the dates and everything but I’d love to see any of them at Lords of Time. I think Mark Gatiss would be pretty good too as he’s both written and acted in the show more than once, I'm sure it’d be very interesting to hear what he would he say in the talks.
  16. just booked my silver ticket, can't wait I start the second year of induction/freshers at uni the week after too so this can be an eary treat before all of that hard work I've got to put in towards getting my degree haha!
  17. I couldn't resist in the end, just gone and bought myself a silver ticket haha but yeahh, I'd still generally prefer if it was mainly a new series convention and it'd be good to know what it's going to be based around. I know a few people who are still waiting to possibly buy tickets.
  18. That's what I thought too and if I remember right, it sounded like they were aiming it around the new seasons when they announced their plans 6 months ago too. I just want to make sure, I've emailed them too but not had a reply yet, I understand they might be busy with LFCC questions though. I've met Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy a few times before, Colin Baker's lovely, and I've met a lot of the older companions too. Personally though, I prefer the new series and would rather meet guests from those episodes. I'm meeting David elsewhere later in the year but if I wasn't then I would have booked straight away just for David as he's my favourite Doctor and I haven't met him yet, it's just I'm a univ student and can't afford to go to too many conventions so I don't want to book and then be at a convention with David being one of the only new series guests. I know that's not likely because even if it's mixed, there'll probably be a variety of guests but if I knew it was just based around the new series, I'd be more likely to book now.
  19. Basically, as pretty much said in the title, I was just wondering if this convention is going to based around just the new seasons (2005 onwards) or the classic series too? I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know about this and to me, it makes a big difference to the event as I haven't watched much of the classic series. If the classic series is featured as part of the convention then I'd probably wait until later to book my ticket depending on which sort of guests get announced but if not, I'd want to book sooner, hopefully in the next few days. It's not that I don't like the classic series and I have watched some of the older episodes, it's just a lot of money to be spending on guests who I won't really know much about in comparison to the new series. I'm sure it'll be a great weekend whichever, I went to the last Bad Wolf and really enjoyed that, but this is something which would help me decide when to book, thanks in advance. P.S: For some reason, the title of the topic has been shortened after being published so sorry that it doesn't really make sense anymore, feel free to edit it anyone who can. I have tried editing it myself but can't find where.
  20. I won't be able to book until nearer the time which is pretty gutting as I usually like to go Silver and I have a feeling they may sell out. Still, it's good to see that you're running a Doctor Who convention and that David's doing more appearances, sure it'll be a good weekend for all going!
  21. I'm gutted to hear that it's going to be the last one and even more gutted that I won't be there! It's just not looking possible to get there for me cash-wise and I've thought for a while that I may have to stop going unfortunately since uni. I've been to Hubs 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and they were honestly such fun weekends and I've made some good friends at them so I just wanna say thanks Massive Events and everyone who went I hope everyone has a great time at this one and hopefully I'll be at more events in the future!
  22. Burn Gorman would be my number one request as he's the only member of the main cast pre-Miracle Day that I haven't met yet and I'd love to meet him! Eve Myles, Naoko Mori, James Marsters, Freema Agyeman, Indira Varma and Tom Price would be amazing and it'd obviously be wicked if John Barrowman came again too, even though he's a very busy man haha! I'd love to see some more guests from Miracle Day too like; Alexa Havins, Mekhi Phifer, Arlene Tur and Lauren Ambrose plus some from the older seasons like; Lachlan Nieboer, Lucy Cohu, Matt Rippy and Bryan Dick.
  23. I'm really glad Gareth's coming back for another Hub, will be great to meet him again! It'll definitely be good to see him on stage again during the talks too!
  24. I'll hopefully be booking tickets after Christmas or in the next few weeks, either way, I'm pretty sure I'll be there haha! can't wait, always have such a good time at The Hub and this one's a few weeks after my birthday too so it can kind of be a late birthday present!
