For Too Tall!!!!

Thank you so much for making my first Eternal Twilight convention the best experience ever!!!

I already reserved my silver pass for the next ET in october and can't wait to get to England and gorgeous Northampton again!!!! By the way, I loved your "St Edwards Hospital" t-shirt!!!

To the rest of the crew attending....thank you so much for everything!!!!

IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs, Priscilla

Thank you I'm glad you had a great time. It's why a lot of us do it.

My Saturday T-shirt was...

St. Edward Ambulance

Emergency

Vampirization

Technician

We bite because we care!

The idea came from a comment made by Jacob in the last book where he says to Edward something like. "So if something goes wrong you're just going to do an emergency vampirization?"

It just gave me the idea of these Emergency Vampirization Technicians like first aider going around saving people :(

Too Tall-

Me, Chelle and Annee loved your t-shirts!

"Offerings of milk"? :D

I love my milk :D

Glad you liked my t-shirts. They're a bit of fun and also help people know for sure it's me. Because sometimes being 6'10" just isn't enough ;)

I have to say I had a great time and I really want to come back in October but dont have money for a ticket atm =(

Anyway I think that the organisation of the event was very well done so thank you to all the crew for making this happen! I really enjoyed the prom night with the casino theme I think that was the best party out of all of them!

There are a couple of things I think could have been improved like the guest encounter sheets for starters the positioning was defently wrong and it would be good if it could have been done a better way I would have loved to bid but I simply couldnt afford for the highest bid to be something like £200.

Also I had no idea about the medow room!

I would have also liked to have more interaction with the guests as seen as though I couldnt bid on a guest encounter and I was a standard ticket and only had one photo shoot with ashley the only other time I had any interaction with them was in the signings and as they were so crowded at the parties I didnt really get to see them there either so I think that the standard tickets should have more of a chance to interact as well because although its not as much money as gold or silver paid it was still quite a bit.

There should be more to do during the day as once you have had your picture signed or your photos taken there wasnt much else to do me and my friend ended up going into town most afternoons and although I like to shop I would have rather been at the convention doing some other things.

As for the underage drinking I didnt see many people as I wasnt taken that much notice but was pretty shocked when went to the bar and they didnt ask me for ID im 19 and only look about 12 so if they didnt ask me then there were proably loads of people who were able to get away with it.

Overall though I loved it I had a great time meeting the guests and going to the parties at the next even it would be good to see a bit more going on maybe a dvd showing as it will be out by then =)

Hope I can make it!

Thanks to everyone involved in the organising you guys done a great job and me and my friend had a fantastic time :P:blush:

Was even more confusing when we had another orgniser called Stuart too. Even though he's about 5'6" and Scottish. IT would still have caused issues so I became known at the shows by my forum name. So that everyone knew which one people were asking for.

I approahced you straight after registration about moving my group from one to three so I could be with my daughter. I vaguely recall looking up a long way and saying, your him aren't you?? I am so dumb sometimes!

Anyway, can I make a suggestion for next time. Can we have live music? Someone like Bobby Long or Marcus who are both friends of Rob and both wrote songs for the soundtrack. They are extremely popular now amongst fans in the UK and pretty much world wide. In fact a couple of friends went to Bobby's gig in London on Friday night before coming to the con!

Oh yes I second Bobby Long! I have friends down in London who have gone to a few of his gigs now and have said he's fantastic.

Ahh but what if it turns into some kinda Team faction warfare, where Edward fans are voting out the Jacob ones .. I wouldn't put it past some :D

And the PM/Email stuff doesn't work directly. Kinda just have to find other ways of contacting, sorry :D

DEFINITELY Put my vote down for Bobby Long to play at ET2 - we've been to a couple of his gigs in london (missed the one on Friday night cos of the con though!) and he is quite frankly AMAZING and a lovely guy to chat to as well, that would be a perfect idea for a party night.

Should be going to another gig of his next week, maybe we'll mention it to him if we can, sound him out, see what he says..... of course the more people suggest it to him the better!!!

shes 18..but she doesnt drink..

she got a little bit shocked at that because she felt the person almost forced the drink upon her, she had to politely refuse the drink and walk away.

Oh my God, I had the brainwave last night of getting Bobby, Marcus and Sam down for a gig! A nice, little chilled out gig on the Sunday would be amazing.

I'm off to Marcus' gig on the 6th and Bobby's on the 13th, so might suggest it to their managers if I can find them :D (if anyone here is going, let me know).

Bobby apparently never refuses a gig, so all we need to do is ask LOL

I'm interested in who would have to monitor such a thing, and who would be brave enough to get in between persistent women and a guest :(

Maybe issue the guests with panic buttons? ;) Or perhaps a flare gun?

Now I'm picturing the crew talking into their sleeves like the secret service.

I really enjoyed the convention but I have a few ideas for improvements.

1st, I think there should be a roped off area for the VIP's at the parties. If they had a VIP area, the guests could come and go as they please, allowing them to still have fun and be at the parties without being crowded by overexcited girls.

2nd, I noticed a few underage girls drinking. Perhaps anyone under 18 could wear a wristband or get their hand stamped so bar staff and crew can monitor them. Or everyone over 18 get a wristband/mark so bar staff can be reassured.

3rd, To make things more fairer for the spot allocation for the Guest Encounters, maybe they should be completely raffled off so everyone who enters have a fair chance, especially those who are not as well off and can't afford to bid hundreds on one. Also, some people were having their bids sratched off without knowledge.

4th, I found there were a lack of seating during the parties. If your group were not the first of the people in, it was hard to find a group of seats together.

Lastly, more activities are needed between photoshoots, autographs and talks.

Overall, I thought everything was well planned and I look forward to ET2 ;)

I'm not really surprised she doesn't drink since she can't until she's 21 in the US anyway.

I didn't go to this one sadly but have got tickets to ET2, although after reading this thread although I'm sure it will be great, I am slightly apprehensive about the screaming etc and also the over crowding of the guests. At the end of the day they are human and even though it is an event where people are going to want to meet them, they are also there to have fun and they will sometimes just want to talk amongst each other. I'm pretty sure those who were doing it wouldn't like it if people did it to them :D I know in October I will be excited, but I truly don't see myself screaming 24/7 or running up to them and following them around all day. Yes I do want to be able to speak to them briefly at least, but I certainly wouldn't feel right doing it in the manner many people seem to have done it in knowing that I personally would not like this and they also are there to enjoy themselves. I will certainly be sure to keep my friends under control.

Also by the sounds of it having some sort of quiz would be a great idea.

And for those who said about age restrictions after certain times etc, I am fifteen and would feel robbed if this happened, and it would be very stereotyped ( i think that's the word.) And even though I have never gone to an event like this, but I do know from experience that older people can be just as bad and sometimes worse. Personally I think if there are people overcrowding the guests and screaming at them etc (especially at night during the parties) then you should ask them to stop this, if they ignore you ask them to leave. You only need to do this to a few people and people will stop, might seem harsh but in my opinion it's only fair. Also an advanced warning of when the geusts are arriving would be a good idea.

What Worked Well?

I would say that the photo shoots and the autographs were really well organized, and that the queuing system was fairly efficient and well crewed. I also think that the ME staff were very friendly, and I wasn't intimidated to ask them questions. I liked the themes for the parties, and thought the decorations were fab, and had a lot of fun with my friends.

What could Be Improved?

I think that the way the raffle and guest encounters were run was poor, as it was never made clear how you would find out you had won, and I think that the way some people were putting £300 as a last minute bid because they knew they wouldn't have to pay it was unfair, although I understand that this is just the way the auction works. Sometimes I found that the Guests would be told what to do around the fans, and whilst I understand completely that some things are controlled for the guests safety, I feel that they could have been given a bit more freedom then they were. Also, I thought that meetings for fan groups could have been more organized, for example an meeting room for fans.Oh, this will be my last point, I thought that the parties could have had some more organized activities, such as games on the tables around the dance floor perhaps, as it was a bit unstructured, and could have been more entertaining.

What would You Like For The Next Convention?

I would just like to see some more organized activities to allow other fans to meet each other, without feeling intimidated about going up to a group of strangers - oh and Jackson of course!

I know this isn't really feedback, but I was just curious about who came up with the name New Moon Rising for the second event, and I didn't want to make a separate thread for it cos it didn't seem worth it...

I think it was SJ (slaycandy) becasue we weekend of the con it actually is a New Moon Rising :YAHOO: She's a clever one our SJ.

Ah, so it WAS intentional. We had a thread about that where we wondered if it was deliberate or just a cool coincidence.
