What worked well?

The autographs and photoshoots were organised really well, hardly had to wait that long and we did have some interesting conversations while in the queue anyway :D

What could have been improved?

Well, the crowding, shoving and err.. rudeness was a bit bleh.

I'm not the tallest person in the world, and Annee definetly isn't, and it was very annoying being shoved out of the way without so much as an "excuse me". But it was really scary when people were shoving us out of the way, pushing Annee off somewhere as they went so we lost her! She still had a great time, though, the guests loved her (she got special high-fives etc. and Ashley told her she wanted to be her best friend  )

What would you like to see added at the next con?

More Twilight t-shirts and jewelry etc. added to the dealers room, it was all photos then non-Twilight stuff.

Other than that it was great! I loved the Christian Guest Encounter, it was really nice to talk to her.

I have the Carlisle Cold after my photoshoot, and I'm happy about it! xD

Oh, aaaand

*cough* Jackson and Rob for ET2 *cough* And the return of Peter and Kellan!

I'd like to say that ET1 was fantastic and I look forward to ET2!!!

Here are a few things that I think could be improved (even though you may not have control over!!!)

1) The bidding for the guest encounters should be like a ballot. I noticed people hanging around and changing their bid (and erasing peeps bids) when someone knocked them from 10th place. Or maybe have it would be better to have it completely raffle style.

2) More things to do if the spare time. On the Saturday all I had was 2 autographs in the morning and nothing much else to do... Sunday was packed with 3 autographs and 4 photoshoots!!!

3) The queing outside the talks needs better organisation... maybe barriers are a good idea. Plus people from standard were sitting in the gold and silver section so maybe more pass checking.

4) People were going into the queues even though the groups were not called. I suppose more pass checking...

5) The bodyguards need to loosen up... I saw times when Peter and Kellan wanted to wander around and meet people but they kept escorting them away. Peter wanted to dance at the Prom party, "Beat It!!" but was taken away. I noticed Christian was wandering around and seemed to enjoy herself. (Can't be helped though)

I know I sound harsh... and the crew worked very hard but I think the thing that will make ET2 better is the crowd control, and if the fans left the guests alone and not crowded them, they probably would have walked around and met everyone in their own time.

One final thing.... bring back PETER :D and KELLAN!! We should have a Volturi/Vampire party sometime!! =oD

everything went great. but i think the events should have been way more spread out. but thats just cos some of us had 3hours spare lol oh well

the guests were all very nice, although i didnt really get to say much. which is fair enough, since there were usually lots of queues. i did however find some of the crew a bit off sometimes when asking for help. i know they are all so busy, but still... maybe i just got the ones having an off day :S

i got a gold ticket for the next one and knowing my luck there wont be any decent guests billy burke (chhaarrrrrlie) hahhaa

and since the group photo isnt happening anymore, thats one less thing included in price. i hope something else gets added, cos well, aww well. no point worrying. at least it'll be an experience lol

I have absolutely nothing to add that hasn't been mentioned already.

The only thing that really got me up of my seat and my temp. going was having Standards sitting in front of me suddenly, when I was the very first Silver ticket holder in the room on the Saturday of the activities. I could have nearly exploded.

Not because I wasn't able to take photos or that it was a big deal, it was a principle. Luckily this all got sorted out Sunday and I can only hope people will stop being incredibly stubborn and by that also rude towards other con-goers, since that is how their selfishness came off.

Also on the Sunday with the masses of people, I ended up getting squeezed so hard by 5 others up against a chair and my right knee is all bruised now. That was quite unnecessary since the ones pushing me had Standard passes and wouldn't get inside earlier no matter what. I am not sure all really understood that, maybe people don't read the rules, forums, papers in the bags, bla bla. Then there isn't much you can do, I know that. I have never been to a rock concert, but I assume that is how it is.

I had no idea there was this meadow room! Bigger signs please :poki:

- Besides that I am just so glad I went, it was all amazing. Thank you for a great weekend!

I agree about the drinks reception for Gold. Everyone was seriously crowding around them, and it was nearly impossible to just push in there. It was supposed to be an exclusive sort of thing, but it turned out to be more like a smaller version of the Prom party minus casino games. That's not at all ME's fault though. I don't know, I wish there was a way to get it into the heads of ticket guests that you cannot crowd the guests unless you want them to leave, in which case, go away because we want them to stay! The very one thing I wanted out of this weekend was a hug from Kellan. That's why I got a gold ticket. I didn't get a Kellan hug. It's incredibly, incredibly disappointing, and like I said in another thread, I feel almost cheated. Again though, not ME's fault!

I agree about the placement of the guest encounter sheets. Also, along with posting the results, if there's an enormous crowd outside the hall (like there was on Sunday), maybe just announcing it as well? The only reason I hung around that spot was to see if I'd won because I was late to my guest encounter on Saturday.

Also, for the Gold ticket only seating area, maybe putting up a barrier sort of thing and having somebody standing there to check passes? I was also irate to find out that people who'd paid significantly less than me were sitting in the same section. It made the £200 feel pointless.

Last, I bought a second round of autographs on Saturday after I'd already gotten one of my Gold pass autographs. I was told that I had to wait until Sunday afternoon to get my second one, even though the line for Christian was very short and my Gold pass group number had already been called. So I waited, but when I went to the open call thing, I was livid to find out that there were no personalisations. I bought mine for my best friend, and all the others had been personalised. I'd paid £10, so there really wasn't any point in not letting me get the autograph the day before because it was already paid for. Luckily, I very calmly explained to the person running the table that this was for my best friend in America who had no way of getting here for this, and that the people running the lines on Saturday had never informed me that there would be no personalisations at the open call (nor had the people running the registration booth when I told them I'd already gotten one of my autograph sessions done). Luckily, Christian was super nice and personalised it for my besty. It just really irritated me that I'd paid £10 for this autograph AND bought another photo to get signed, but I wasn't going to get a personalised photo. So my suggestion would be to change that or make sure everyone is very well informed that photos will NOT be personalised if you get them done during an open call.

On that same note, the online shop didn't have all of the autographs available. So if that had been changed, I would've bought the tickets before the event, and none of this would've happened.

Please don't take this as complaining, because I'm not. I'm just trying to tell you guys what didn't work for me personally. Everything else about the weekend worked great! It was just a few things that were really big to me, especially that autograph thing. If Christian hadn't been so nice, I would've been really upset and spoken to an organiser about it.

There's no group photo anymore? The one of you and the group or the one of just the group? Or both?

the screaming and the flashing, OH MY GOD i had to walk out of the talks my ears and eyes couldn't handle it, people really needed to listen when they were asked to stop screaming and taking photos, it was the most annoying thing ever, not only to me and some others, but clearly annoyed some of the guests too.

We have chosen to load the hall in ticket order as we feel after A LOT of discussion that it is the fairest way and cuts down on the NEED to queue for hours. We understand that it favours the people with lower numbers but they booked first and therefore helped the show get starts. It's only fair they get in first.

yay! that's so good to know! cos i got up at 6.30 on sunday and was there queueing from 7. so if i've understood correctly, i'm going to be in the first row for all the talks :P

Ah well to be honest, nothing put a damper on the weekend it was great fun but that's one thing I noticed and probably something that can't really be dealt with.

It was the same when we went on holiday to milan and venice we were queing in shops and people were just walking past us and paying grrrrrrude.com

about the italians: i completely agree with you! but, it is a cultural thing. i'm half italian and spend A LOT of time there so i know how it is; they just don't queue. every time i'm in italy it bugs me but that's just the way it is... :YAHOO:

the only problem i had over the whole weekend was during the last chat just before the guests went in, i was on the phone to my mum and a member of my family had been take to hospital suddenly, i was trying to find out how the family member was , when i was quickly approached by a crew member that i "had to move because the guests were going into the talk" ob viously i was very upset and distressed and i do see why the crew members would be eager for people to get inside the talk and sit down, but I was very stressed, so this sort of apoligy/issue Im sharing :)

and the age limit wouldnt work. Im a little offended by the comments made about generalizing teengers. Im 16 years old and Im very respectful of people, If anything I was too respectful of people. I held back while other people crowded the guests.

But I LOVED the guest encounters. definetly my favourite part of the weekend, the people in my two christian chats were very gracious and carm :)

Have to agree with you there.

I'm fourteen, and the "screaming fourteen year olds" comments are starting to get tiring.. its not an age thing, we're not all like that, and it does get very annoying when we're all seen as one group that all act the same.

I must agree with some of the younger attendees. I was actually shocked to find that the ones that seemed to crowd up on the guests were elderly women who I thought would behave better especially taking their age into consideration.

No one should generalize, but yes. There was incidents with girls - women from all age groups acting in a disrespectful way towards other fans, guests and so on in my opinion.

I am 19 myself, turning 20 in June and I tried to put on my best behaviour, I guess what some people here are referring to is that it might actually be possible for 13 year olds (or around that age) to produce extremely high pitched screams of joy compared to someone twice that age. :)

Although, I will agree that on several occasions i was faced with 13 year olds screaming "OMG KELLAN" and i know for a fact they were 13 haha :)

I promise, as a member of the oldies clan, I didn't hog the guests at all and I didn't sream. I couldn't have screamed if I tried since I had Facinelli Flu with the croaky voice all day Saturday and Sunday!!

It's obvious that it bothered a lot of people but I think the age of the person(s) is irrelavent, stereotyping teens or any other age group just gets people annoyed.

Someone was doing it, people didn't like it....I hope it doesn't happen next time.

Screaming like that is very disturbing in general... :o

My poor son sat through the opening ceremony with his fingers in his ears & was nearly in tears by the end of it. :o

Aww, bless him. I hope he had a good time!

I saw you two around, but was too scared to go and say anything

"Hi, I know you from the internet!"

I had a really great time - the parties were fantastic! I loved the surf machine on the friday night and thought the white arch (the thing that peter danced under) was a really nice touch too.

I did feel a little disappointed by the photo sessions - I know it's impossible for them to really be personal but it would have been nice if the photographer wasn't shouting like a machine gun- step up, smile, grab a ticket, step up, smile, grab a ticket.. it would have been nice to actually have the chance to say something to the guests (or at least look at them!) before being ushered out the door again. It felt a little like a conveyor belt! I mean, even if they could just count down from 5 to 1, take the picture and then usher you off - at least you'd have 5 seconds to realise what was happening!

I also agree with what some other people have said about there being not that much to do between photos and signings. Like maybe next time there could be a couple of rooms with a film or something playing.. or just some activity going on so that there's not three hour blocks with nothing really to do. I know that was probably difficult this time because it's not like Twilight's actually been released yet.. but hopefully next time, by which point it will be out that might be possible.

And unlike everyone else I loved the music at the parties - it was a little repetitive but everyone knows cheese!

I thought the merchandise was completely irrelevant too - maybe t-shirts, bags, hats and stuff next time? I thought the photo stall was great but everything else was pretty random.

I have to agree with the person who mentioned the foreign fans I use the term loosely, anyway where myself and friends would wait until an opportunity arose to speak to one of the cast in wie reception they were just coming up and butting it... which when you've stood there politely for 15 mins only to be pushed back by people is just rude and ignorant in my opinion.

So perhaps a guide on politeness would be nice for the next one :)

p.s. can I just add this happened a lot, and it wasn't just the french fans but from my personal experience it wasn't the American or English fans so perhaps its just a difference in culture?

I wasnt going to mention that lol as didnt want to seem "racist" or anything but I agree. It's obv a cultural thing.

We stood for ages waiting to speak to Justin in the drinks reception. Some German girls were told to move out to widen the circle and instead of doing that one of them just stood right in front of me so I couldnt even see Justin! Maybe we shouldnt have been so polite!

In the final talks on Sunday a French girl sat infront of me and literally videoed the whole thing on her phone. I really felt like getting up and telling the security guard that was like 2 feet away!

Some people just think it's one rule for them and one for everyone else.

I've been going to cons for a while now so I know how to restrain myself but at this one it was esp hard as I had this fangirl inside of me wanting to come out haha! Aside from taking a few pix of Kellan playing roulette I think I did ok!
