I was looking through my autograph folders this morning and it got me thinking about which were my most prized autographs. I decided to challenge myself to make a top 20...

This list wasn't about which of my autographs aesthetically looked the best (Carrie Fisher would win hands-down), but about which I am most proud of. All of my autographs have been collected in person, so it's proof of A LOT of hard work and patience standing in the cold and wet! lol

How do you define "meet" beacuse by my definition there would have to be some spoken interraction between myself and the star so therefore although I've gotten Tom Cruise's autograph at a premiere before, I wouldn't necessarily say I've met him.

I'll use Leo ( ) as an example...

 

Me: "Leoooooooooooooooooooooo" (lol)

Leo: "Hi"

Me: "Congratulations on your Oscar nomination"

Leo: "Thanks man"

Me: "It's really good to meet you. I'm a huge fan"

*takes pen and TOUCHES MY FINGER* (lol)

Leo "It's a pleasure to meet you too"

*signs picture*

Me: "Thank you so much"

*Leo rubs hands together because it is so cold*

Me: "You should really plan your films so you can come over in the Summer"

Leo: (to everyone, laughing) "It's so cold you guys"

Over to Christa...

*lots of spazzing from both of us*

 

So yeah, a brief encounter but an encounter nevertheless. I've never been in the position where I've had to reach over heads to get an autograph. I always get to them so bloody early, that I end up at the very front and talking to them whether it be brief (like this) or a slightly longer encounter. For example, Vanessa Redgrave spoke to me for quite a while about the film 'Evening'. I spoke to Imelda Staunton about her upcoming role as Umbridge. I told Matthew Modine about some of his films disturbing me as a child. Jason Isaacs said I was "the loudest person in the world"!

 

That kinda' thing!

3. Ralph McQuarrie - Birmingham Event (You know the one) I think it was 1995?

4. Hayden Christensen - Met in 2002 at This Is Our Youth and around London. Saw him around quite a bit. Plus I have the first Anakin action figure he ever signed!

5. Natalie Portman - Met in 1999 at The Phantom Menace premiere - this is where I got my Amidala signed photo. She doesn't sign Star Wars any more.

6. Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon on an Ocean's 12 pic - met all 3 in Hollywood last June (07)

7. Frankie Howerd - Met him in Southampton in 1991 he passed away about a year later.

8. Mark Hamill - Met in 2007 at CE.

9. Moustapha Akkad Met in 2003 - Halloween Producer Moustapha was killed in 2005.

10. Danielle Harris - Met in 2003 played Jamie Lloyd in Halloween IV, V and Annie in Halloween (2007)

11. Kurt Russell - Met in 2006 at Poseidon premiere.

12. Nancy Loomis - Met in 2007 - Annie in Halloween.

13. P.J. Soles - Met in 2003 - Lynda in Halloween.

14. David Warner - Met in 2004 at that Birmingham event. Was Jennings in The Omen.

15. Sylvester Stallone - Met in 2007/2008 at Rocky Balboa and Rambo premieres.

16. Burt Reynolds - Met at LFCC Year?

17. Dan Castellaneta - Met in London last year.

18. Tobey Maguire - Met in 2002 at Spider-Man premiere. Signed Spidey pic.

19. Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howerd, Jon Favreau - Iron Man cast shot - Met April 2008.

20. Angelina Jolie - Met in 2004 (?) Tomb Raider 2 Premiere.

 

There are other autographs I have which I treasure more than some of those above, but I have not met the person. These include;
