Best one I saw was a talk at DST in 2017 when Marina Sirtis asked a guy in the front to stop filming. He completely ignored her. Grinning away like an idiot holding his camera high blocking people behind from getting a decent view. She got up walked off the stage right up to him, grabbed his camera, snapped it shut and handed it back to him to much applause from the audience!

I don’t have Facebook but a friend of mine tells me that there has been a post from the official page that there is to be a guest announcement at 7pm this Wednesday. Nothing on here yet. Can anybody confirm this?

At this rate the con is going to be James Bond themed. Now gets Sean connery to come. I think he might be available

But the CGI moustache removal on Cavill was so bad. It made him look like he had a weird plastic face. As for the movie, it was SO bad I’m still having flashbacks

Enjoyed meeting him on a couple of occasions. I was going to get a photo with him in the costume at LFCC this year but forgot about it in the mad rush of other guests. Really regretting that now. Great man who genuinely loved the fans.

You need to go get them yourself. They don’t just hand them to you when you pick up your pass. It was as CaptainMetal says. I got all mine on the Sunday afternoon. The meatloaf mug was a white and blue travel mug.

I’m glad I didn’t wait to unpack mine. There was a half a cheese sandwich in there. I wouldn’t want to have discovered that after a week!

They are brilliant. So chuffed for you. The only thing you missed was the interaction but another plus is not having to stand in the enormous queues!

My refund for Peter came through several days ago. I’d mail them again.

Now that all the other refunds are done I am wondering what the timescale is for pre-order refunds. My partner sent in some items one of which was for a guest that cancelled (specifically Dave Barclay). Obviously she’s not expecting the items that were signed to appear for a while yet but do these refunds get processed separately and take a bit longer or should she have heard something by now?

OMG. It doesn’t matter what you think. It doesn’t matter what I think. It doesn’t matter what anybody on here thinks. It matters what Showmasters think. You made a suggestion that in your eyes makes perfect sense. The mods have told you that it doesn’t work. It doesn’t matter if you have worked out a way to do it. They don’t want to do it. As Ray says you are flogging a dead horse. There is no point in discussing it any further. Leave this thread for people to post their highs and lows of the con.

There are still problems. You are making the assumption that people don't want a photograph with a returning guest as they already have one. I know people that get a photo with certain guests every con they go to so it's by no means always the case. DIfferent poses, different cosplay etc. Also the diamond provides priority queueing for the photoshoot even if you buy it a week before the con (as I did with Matt Smith) but if I'd waited the same length of time for a normal shoot I'd have been around batch 10-12. Priority for shoots can be the difference between waiting 5 minutes to get one and an hour to get one meaning a lot more time for other activities. Secondly, again, as I think Nate said above. Why would they do this? It makes no business sense. You are asking them to remove a package that costs around £200 and replace it with one that costs around £125. Massive loss of income. The be all and end all is it has all been looked at, tried and looked at again and I have no doubt is being constantly reviewed and no matter how much you want it to happen it isn't going to as Showmasters (who know MUCH more about organising these things than you or I) have decided it is unworkable so it is a pointless debate.

Just realised something about Jason Mamoa. I thought we had an added bonus. Lyndsey is just getting round to unpacking and sorting all of the many, many funko pops she got signed this year and we realised Jason has signed the front plastic and the top of the box despite us paying for only one signature. I thought we had obtained a little secret bonus but after doing some digging I have discovered he always does this for funko pops. No idea why but it is pretty cool!

I had no idea Mickey had been a Daley or a Cyberman. Great stuff! Ok the cyberman funko Pop for him to sign I think.

Giant Wight funko pops will be getting signed for sure!
