I was watching the NTA's when he announced this and i remember sitting in shock and then going around in shock for several hours.
However i do respect David's decision for leaving and i'm so glad that he announced the decision himself instead of it coming from a press release. And at least i'll have a year to prepare for his departure
As to who will take over i have no idea myself but i know that whoever it will be they will have quite a job to fill David's shoes.
