Are you meaning the paid talks or the free talks?
-
Loads of people get posters signed. Generally the most common are just like the movie poster ones which have a slightly shiney finish to them. You have to think of how easy they are to roll up and carry and how they will look framed. Sharpies pretty much sign anything
-
My worst one was Roger Lloyd Packs. He signed it in gold but the ink was running out so he wrote over the top of the original signature again. Looks messy and unprofessional. Wish I had asked him to start again on a new photo. Was one of my first conventions though and I was nervous so didn't think of asking him. If you every experience this again and don't want to say anything in front of the guest just look for the Red shirt crew in that area (or ask a crew member) and they will get it replaced for you without the guest knowing :)

Weekend Travel - Tube closures
C.Parkers-Girl replied to Geekzania's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
It's also only a 15-20 min walk from Hammersmith which is on district, Hammersmith n city, circle n Piccadilly lines (it has 2 station enterences as you can see on the map) which I prefer over the other options because it's a bit calmer -
If you are on about Sunday I believe it was Justin organising the queue :)

Think I heard people talking about a winter show :-S

Feedback and Photos
C.Parkers-Girl replied to Sam_Carter96's topic in Newcastle Film and Comic Con 2015
For cosplay itt may be worth having some business cards printed with your Twitter ID and ask there n then for them to be sent instead of after :) The prop photoshoot was on the same side as talk area A and located in same place as the guest photo area just on the other side -
No idea. I'm on the crew bus from hotel. I believe it is expensive at venue so would reccommend walking If you can
-
Hey :) if you head to the venue and I think it is the VIP enterance at the front. But if in doubt look for blue shirts and you will find us

I had to take a sick day today after the weekend. I feel so sick!!! The money/tickets we handle and germs that spread in the heat plus the exhaustion. Def have con-flu! We don't often get chance to wash our hands so rely on antibacterial hand wash lol if we remember to pack some. Sure this thread is not encouraging people to crew :-p but it's def worth doing at least once. You can even do a half day to test the water!

What would you like to see?
C.Parkers-Girl replied to twinzz's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2015
Use EC1 & EC2 for more space keeping everything together and bigger aisles between dealer stands. Maybe a larger organisers booth too cause it's too difficult with so many people crowding round. Might also be good for ticketers to have "0-150" etc signs on long sticks so they can be seen from a distance. Guest wise Big Bang Theory guests would be awesome! Some bigger HP guests like Rupert Grint, David Bradley Orlando Bloom would be THE BEST! -
Probably because there was a very clearly posted 'no photos' sign behind her. They are there for a reason (which is not always made obvious to attendees). So please respect that in future. Can I ask (and I am not moaning I swear, just curious) why taking a photo is sometimes not allowed? I understand posed pictures because there isn't the time for big guests but was wondering more about taking pictures of them signing etc. Is it a legal thing? As I said, not complaining. I was well behaved and didn't even try to take pictures of people I wasn't supposed to. Just curiosity : ) i have to admit I have no idea why either, but I am intrigued to know as well! Yeh I can't really figure it out. I have no objections to it, it is their image and time so if they don't want photos taken of them at the table then fair enough. I did wonder if it was a guest thing or an SM thing. It is very intrigueing! I actually said No to Jenna but she insisted you took a sneaky pic and that was her choice. I'll tweet you in a min. Guests have no posed photos for many different reasons so it's hard to say really.

Mrs Ellacot can you send me a copy of the Jennna pic? I'm her assistant in the background and would like it for my scrapbook. Don't get many pics when you are an assitant everyone crops us out :-p

Was Jenna Coleman unwell?
C.Parkers-Girl replied to Kara_The_Avenger's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
Jenna left signing at 4:50 as she had a photo shoot at 5:05-5:50 but with her being unwell it went right up to the show closing at 6. She didn't leave early though :) -
MISSING BAG WITH ITEMS
C.Parkers-Girl replied to _ItsWilliam_'s topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
Did you check the organisers booth? All lost property goes there. If not email info@showmastersonlie.com with a full description of the bag and contents just don't expect an immediate reply so soon after the event -
I think Saturday on carries queue was Karl :) As a crew member it's hard. We work loooooong days in the same heat as everyone (or cold at Mk) but like BFR said we do it for the joy of seeing people meeting their idols or seeing people find a place where they can be themselves. It's fantastic and we get rewarded with the friends we make and the Thanks at the end of the day

Stan Lee - Signing no more...
C.Parkers-Girl replied to jediknight49's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
I'm with Mrs Ellacot on this. All the Photoshoots and talk were to give as many people as possible the chance to meet their idol. It is never guarenteed at these events that you will meet everyone you want to as there is not enough time in the day. It was hard on Stan and I do feel bad for him and the fans it was awful on Sunday but he still did as much as he possibly could and did An awesome talk. I just don't think it is fair to lay the whole blame on Showmasters. Clearly Stan wanted to meet as many of you as he could so he agreed to do the extra stuff. No one could realistically predict how he would be by Sunday -
Was Jenna Coleman unwell?
C.Parkers-Girl replied to Kara_The_Avenger's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
I was say with Jenna and she said as soon as she arrived that she wasn't well. The camera flashes made her feel worse but she didn't want to let anyone down. She was a fantastic guest -
All things considered not bad
C.Parkers-Girl replied to Acsel's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
A good constructive review :) -
Sports guests and VQ guests are on the stadium concourse like the event used to be. It is a bit chilly but not as bad as it has been in the past. Other guests & dealers are in the arena which is down stairs through gate 6 from the concourse
