Latest Guest Announcement: Vic Mignogna

 

Vic has been acting for stage and screen since he was 8 years old. But he started his career in anime about ten years ago as Vega in Streetfighter II. Since then Vic has been in more than a hundred shows, known for such roles as Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Tamaki Suou in Ouran Highschool Host Club, Fai in Tsubasa Chronicle, Ikkaku in Bleach, Yukito in Air, Takanaga in Wallflower, Dark in DN Angel, Kurz in Full Metal Panic, Broly in Dragonball Z, Kougaijji in Saiyuki, Tatsu in Peacemaker, Virgil Walsh in Trinity Blood, Hikaru in Macross and many more. Vic has also voiced roles in a large number of video games including Soul Calibur, Disgaea, Persona III, Project Sylpheed, DBZ, Bleach, FMA and more. He sings the themes for shows like One Piece & DBGT, and has produced several CDs of his own original music. Vic has a degree in film and works regularly writing, producing and directing video and film productions.

 

Vic will also be taking part in several Q&A sessions over the weekend

 

and he will be signing for FREE for the fans

 

we are hopping that the release of the second half of Ouran Highschool Host Club may be around that time, so perhaps we can have a screening and live commentary for the fans, more to come on this nearer the time

hay all

 

this is not the first time we have had Anime guests so just because other events cannot control there events dose not mean we will have the same issues :YAHOO:

 

we have a very big hall and there is lots of space for other aspects to add to this show

 

and the main thing if it brings in more people we will have more income to bring in nice names and keep growing in times that are hard so even if this is not your thing remember that it all helps to grow this event and make it bigger and better for everyone what ever you are into

 

we should all be open to other fans of things even if we are not into it our self :P

 

and maybe some of the people that attend for Anime may also cross over in to other shows you are into ?

 

so lets just see :YAHOO:

I'm actually very happy Vic can make it out to the convention. I haven't seen him in over 5 years - first met him at Kazecon in Chicago 2003. He's a great guy though his fans can be a bit much. I've been an anime fan for a VERY long time and I do agree that some fans can be a little over the top. However with the influx of the anime genre this convention can bring in more people. San Deigo Comic Con has a large anime following attend and it never experienced any difficulties from what I have seen.

 

Congrats to Vic being invited!! I can't wait to see what other anime guests will be attending.

Yeah, more anime guests!!

 

And what's wrong with that exactly? there are so many actors nowadays who are turning to voice actors for anime and video games. I welcome any guests, ok I'm not a huge fan of the free hugs kinda people but LFCC has always had anime fans going to it, just not a huge amount. Only problem really is that Vic is going to be free, which may mean a sudden burst of anime people, but all I want to do is meet the guests, I couldn't really care to what everyone else is doing.

I dont know what fuss was caused on the glomping(?!?) thread but Manga does have some plus points amongst its fanbase away from spotty wig wearing,plastic key waving oddballs

e.g cute ABOVE LEGAL AGE japanese chicks in knee length socks

 

If these guest additions mean more of them..........MORE ANIME GUESTS PLEASE!

i think more the merrier, as long as there are no free hugs on the go i can only see it as being a good thing, as long as someone takes in to acount the people who actually play the card games as they need room so they don't just sudenly plonk themselfs down in the middle of the ailse and play.

Very nice, I'm a huge FMA (and casual DBZ) fan :)

 

More anime/animation guests please - my futurama dvd box set case needs more signatures on it :D

 

Vic will be a great guest!

 

And yes to more anime/animation guests! I for one would love to see Scott McNeil, he was Piccolo in DBZ and Duo in Gundam as well as being in Transformers:Beast Wars.

 

He's also a cross-over guest, as he's been in several eps of Stargate: SG1, it was only after I'd seen 'Company of Thieves' that I found out he was playing the guy Cameron Mitchell was impersonating.

 

I heard he's been in loads more anime other than DBZ and Gundam, but unfortunately they're the only anime I watched that he voiced characters in, I'm much more familiar with his work on Canadian animation such as Beast Wars, Shadow Raiders and Storm Hawks

ITs just a shame Travis Willingham isn't coming over as well. Cause if that was the case then perhaps there could have been a Risemball match happening.

OH Yes there will be a Risembool Rangers Contingent heading to the con. And a lot of that stems from Vic being super excited about LFCC back in November When he was over in dublin at Eirtakon.

Theres one thing i can assure all you guys. Vic is the easiet person to become friends with, no lies

I can't wait to meet him (providing i can still go when the time comes). He's the only reason I'm going and how i found out about it, but I hope they have more anime guests in the future, and you never know i may even return in the future :P

 

This will probably make me seem kinda sad but, i've seen loads of video's from cons he's been to on youtube and he seems like an awesome guy :D

I tried to tell a website (http://www.animecons.com/) about Vic's attendance but they don't seem to have added it to their list.....although it might be that the con's not anime-related enough (if you understand what I mean) but i tried :P , i also told a few of my friends who like anime so i'm doing my best :YAHOO:
