  1. Why did he feel the need to give us those films he calls the Prequels to Star Wars?
  2. While going through the stalls on Saturday, I came across a stall that was selling Friday the 13th/Jason hockey masks, and then going further down the table, I looked up and stopped in my tracks when I noticed Richard Brooker (Jason in Friday the 13th: Part III) was on the stall selling autographs. Thanks to the guys on the stall who got him there, I've been wanting to meet Richard for some time, especially since in past Showmasters events when they have had him, I've not been able to attend the days he was there. But I wish I knew before hand he was there, I didn't have the budget to get more then one autograph, and I ended up buying an extra copy of Friday 3 on DVD just for Richard to sign.
  3. Gotta say, I've met Christopher Lloyd at both Showmasters events he has attended and both times he was extremely busy. When it comes to busy guests, I can fully understand the lack of interaction that does tend to happen and I'm not gonna be picky about it at all. In all honesty, I'd rather the guest in question is able to get through as many people as possible, especially when VQ tickets numbers of say 500 or more have been given out. It'd disappoint a lot of people who can only make it to the event of one of the days, want to meet a busy guest and can't because of the sheer number of others who want to meet that guest and expect the guest to chat to them, answer their questions and so forth. Now yeah, I guess it's a downer if the guest doesn't look up at you, doesn't answer you if you ask how they are and so on, but it's gonna happen. Christopher was insane busy, and perhaps he had arrived at the show after getting off the jet, little to no time to relax and be ready? Not too sure but I know that happens. But as for this Mr. Loud Mouth, gotta say I agree. Dude was annoying, shouting out "MAKE SURE YOU HAVE UP TO TICKET NUMBER XX OR COME BACK LATER!!!" every minute and yet he wasn't even checking ticket numbers! I had ticket number 40 and I went to meet Christopher at say 12.00 when ticket numbers as high as 600 had been given out. So I joined the back of the queue, had my ticket ready to show, this guy is shouting his repeated line constantly, I'm standing more or less beside him, shouts what felt like directly into my ear, but didn't bother checking my ticket number or those in front of me. Kind of defeats the purpose shouting at people to have the right ticket number yet doesn't even check it. I know his there to do a job, but do it properly or not at all, and don't be a jerk about it. Afterall, we're paying customers and I don't like the fact the staff act like that. Not all the staff, a lot of the staff are great and very helpful, but there has to be one that takes it waaaay too seriously.
  4. While I was at the show today, I bought a photo shoot ticket for Robert Patrick for tomorrow, but I just noticed that when I got home, I was given a Robert Englund one. Is there a chance I can swap it for a Robert Patrick one when I come back tomorrow?
  5. I met Carl (my third time of meeting the man) and it was a pleasure like always. He was surprised when I gave him the episode guide booklet for my Tour of Duty: Season 3 DVD set, said he never sees many of those.
  6. Robert Patrick. Gotta get this guy because dude was the T-1000 AND Dogget in The X-Files as well as plenty of other decent roles.
  7. From autographs, entry fee, photoshoots and merch I got from COLLECTORMANIA LONDON, I spent around £680 that lone Saturday. And I would gladly give that amount again to Showmasters, the awesome guests they get for us and all the guys at the merchandise stalls then flog over 30p to a newspaper which slams the event because their journalist is crying like a little baby over John Barrowman.
  8. Well I do agree with BeatrixKiddo88 and James, we gotta remember that the remake will be hitting cinemas next year so it might be a sweet idea for an Elm Street reunion, I just think leave it for LFCC2010 or maybe an event closer to Halloween, not C16.
  9. Agreed, such a lovely woman. My only problem was there wasn't any photos of her character Alice from the Nightmare on Elm Street movies of her on her own, but that wasn't her fault at all. And she was shocked as hell when I told her I had recently seen her in the rarely seen Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures TV series.
  10. Ah, well that's cleared things up for me. I was gonna take mine and offer it to him to use on one of the days to use during the his photoshoot and collect it afterwards. But if he has his own, then that's awesome.
  11. As much as I like anime, I am so meeting him for G.I.JOE: Resolute, that was an excellent little mini-series and I can't believe he did a total of seven characters, including the likes of Duke and Zartan. Wouldn't have thought those guys were all done by one man.
  12. I think you also gotta see the fact that people like Stewart, as big as they are, are usually going to be mainly remembered for one or two roles, in his case, Capt. Picard and to a lesser extent Professor Xavier. And that when he gets a constant stream of items of Star Trek and X-Men, it might annoy him. Now granted, if I were to meet Stewart, I would get a couple of Trek items signed, but I'm also hoping to get my DVD sleve of TMNT autographed as I'm a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and enjoyed the voice work he did on that movie. Another person who is annoyed at being constantly reminded for one role (as far as I have heard) is Tom Wilson who played Biff in the Back To The Future series. I've heard he isn't doing anymore conventions because of it, which is a shame because although I do like the BttF series, I would have loved Wilson to autographed an animation cel to a character he voiced in Gargoyles I own. Hell, before The Matrix, Keanu Reeve's biggest fear was he was going to be remembered solely for the role of Ted. Of course there are people who are thankful for the roles they have played and the fans they have, like George Takei. I've never heard a foul word said against the man (other then from Shatner) and he seems very thankful for all the Trek fans support over the years. But when I met him, I asked him to sign my DVD copy of Godzilla Raids Again as he did voice work on the English dub that was produced and Takei was shocked to see it. It was late in the day and he said he had not been asked to autograph it before, not just at that show, but since the DVD's release. We then talk a good 5-10 minutes about his work before Trek. To me it seemed like he was happy to be acknowledge for some work outside of Trek. But anyways, back on topic, I would like to meet Patrick Stewart and if Showmasters does get him for another show and I do get the chance to meet him this time, I can be fully understanding if he isn't in the best of moods. And yes, while I would like a couple of Trek items signed, I have some other things Stewart has worked on that I would love autographed.
  13. I gave Casey Coller 3 Transformers DVD boxsets to TF shows he'd been wanting to see for years.
  14. Agreed, Takei for Collectormania London!
  15. I looked after Edward on Saturday .. he was awfully jet-lagged but you would'nt of known it.. he was so sweet and good natured with everyone and so appreciative that so many awesome fans(what a great bunch you all were) came to see him. It was great meeting him. Personally, I never thought Showmasters would get someone like Furlong, but it was a blast meeting him! My only regret was I wish I asked him if he could put on the photo I got signed "F**k Christian Bale" because no offence to Bale, but I saw Terminator:Salvation and I did not care for his Connor. Thomas Dekker and Nick Stahl did a good job with Connor and while Edward Furlong will always be the John Connor, Bale just kind of messed it up with the constant screaming and shouting.
  16. Heya Mario. I met Casey, Shane and John-Paul and all three were excellent to talk to. I was the guy who gave Casey those three DVD boxsets. Was very kind of Casey to do my sketches for free, though I did feel a little bad that he didn't charge me. I know he wanted to give me something for the sets, so it was very awesome of him. As for future guests, well I wouldn't say no to Casey, Shane and John-Paul again. On the Transformers front I'd love to see Guido Guidi, Don Figueroa or Nick Roche (I know you got him for AutoAssembly, but I probably won't make it to that one). But please, no Pat Lee. The guy seems to love himself and his artwork way to much, plus I believe he isn't very popular with fans, after the whole Dreamwave fiasco and screwing over the other artists. Other artists, hmmmm... Maybe Adam Warren as I grew up reading a lot of Dark Horse comics (thanks to my brothers main interest in their Aliens and Predator comics) so I read a lot of his Dirty Pair titles. Nick Bradshaw too would be nice, love the guy's work on those Army of Darkness titles. Thanks for getting them and doing those excellent exclusive comic covers for All Hail Megatron and the variant Galvatron print. I'll pop in the store later in the week.
  17. Scott Bakula - "Thanks!"/"Cheers!" x2/ "So Nice to meet you!" Danny John-Jules - ' How'm I looking?" Hattie Hayridge - "Best wishes" Mark Ryan - ''Bollocks!" (on a Jetfire photo) / "Best Wishes" Danny Trejo - "Thank you" Spike Spencer - "How Do!" x3/ "Good Luck!"
  18. I met so many, 15 in total that it's very hard for me to choose, but they all were very nice.
  19. John Paul Bove was doing the scanning, he was next to Shane McCarthy with the laptop. He went over to the opposite side later on near the end of the day.
  20. I got a Generation 1 Springer which Casey did in the design of Springer's Cybertron form in the IDW comics: And I also got a Generation 1 Sixshot: What was great was Casey was very kind enough to do both of these for me free of charge. When I met me last year (Where I got an Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime sketch) we ended up talking about the Japanese Generation 1 shows (Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory) and Casey hadn't seen them. Between then and now, I ended up with two sets of them on DVD and the extra set was gather dust not being used, so I took them to LFCC2009 and asked Casey if he had seen them yet, which he hadn't so I gave him the extra set and he couldn't believe I was giving them to him. So I went to get a Springer sketch and he said I could have that for free, so I decided to get two and pay for one and he refused to charge me for them. I had John Paul Bove scan them in and paid him for the color prints he was doing. I was only there yesterday (Saturday) so it wouldn't be finished, but John said since he wouldn't want to rush these ones, he'd take his time to make them look really nice and then send them to me by the end of next week. I'd like to say thanks to Mario from the Apocalypse Comic stall for getting Casey, Shane and John there for this year and thanks to Casey, Shane and John for being grade A guests, had fun talking to them and Mario.
  21. Should of held out a little longer, around 5.20 Scott went to Open Queue. Nothing to do with the organisers as everyone was working really work to make sure things were going smoothly.
  22. Got my tickets in the post today, but I'm missing one of my Scott Bakula tickets for Saturday. Ordered two in total for myself and a friend. Am I going to have to bring my order comfirmation email to get the missing ticket?
