As much as I'd love to meet Christopher Eccleston and several other names this topic has floated around, the clues suggest someone more along the lines of a VERY big Hollywood name. Hopefully the guys haven't over hyped this! My initial guess as with many others in here was Harrison, until the many moons ago con he attended was brought to light as he would have fit the clues quite nicely. Ah well, looks like I won't be needing to remortgage my house just yet!

Daniel Craig been suggested? I don't think he would have been mainstream enough for cons prior to Bond, and I'm not sure the Bond films do the convention circuit normally. If this was this person's only ever con it would kind of make sense that they would be British as well.

Mads is a really nice guy. Had the pleasure of meeting him back at my first LFCC in 2006 I think it was when he'd not long since done casino royal. Definitely meet him if you get chance, shame I couldn't make it this weekend. I'd have liked to get his auto for my rather nice rogue one poster I got a fortnight ago from "elsewhere in london"

From what Jason has said, it's not just about the room. There are other events on at Olympia that weekend and the venue is concerned that these other events will be 'overwhelmed' by LFCCW. They have also said on Facebook that the Hotel can offer as much space as was planned for London. ok, so ive got to ask... if there are other events the same weekend then why book that weekend in the first place :S surely the people who run/own the olympia knew how big SM's cons are getting and that the event would need a lot of room. i also dont understnad how another event will be "overwhelmed." If people are going for the con then surely thats what they'll be there for, not to have a nose through other events. either way, im still out. its to do with access , in the past we have used the venue and sometimes there has been other events in the same structure as its so large , after London summer we are gaining a lot of interest and now the venues thoughts are that we will need to use queue people around the building and other events are happing at the same time so this is not going to work for them and us at the same time , summer has shown we are getting much bigger and we need to take that into consideration more as we move on so i do understand there thought but it has given us a few headaches . But last summer nevermind this one showed that you were getting too big for normal capacity when you had Stan Lee over. Such an eventuality should have been anticipated and prepared for long before now. The "X event has shown we are getting much bigger" excuse only works so many times so be careful you don't overdo it

Highly unlikely you'd be getting personalised ones as Stan wasn't doing them for anyone on the day. Not sure how pre orders are dealt with, I would imagine the people taking the items to be signed would have some sort of queue priority.

I've made my feelings known regarding Saturday in the thread Jason created with the rather condescending title, but here I'll sum up my weekend experience. Friday: Pre-show Stan Lee - Couldn't fault this in fairness, probably the only aspect of the weekend that met my expectation of a professional and well co-ordinated event. Preview night successful, if you wanted to properly check out the stalls this was pretty much the only chance you had Saturday: WAY too many people allowed access. Too hot, not enough access to toilets, fresh air or refreshments, queue jumpers as soon as the doors opened with neither security or crew doing a thing to prevent it. Photo shoots - I missed my shoot with Paul Freeman as he only had such a limited time window and it unavoidably clashed with another of my shoots, when one finished I had 5 minutes to get from one of the hall to the other. Impossible. Refund denied as the shoot went ahead. This is not a very smart policy and on this hopefully rare occasion should have been relaxed. Thankfully I swapped for a voucher that I used on the Sunday, but if I'd have missed a Sunday shoot I would have demanded the refund. Comic Awards hosted by Tony Head needed someone as entertaining as him to have stood up there and led the affair and I give full credit to the man for saving the evening and making it just about worth the ticket price. Audio and video were both poor and more was expected. £20 was too much for the ticket, it could have very easily gone south with a lesser host. Sunday: To be in with half a chance of meeting the guests I wanted, I turned up at 6am to queue. At around 7.30 it absolutely pissed it down with the gates remaining firmly locked, despite people already queuing for Stan Lee. How was this happening? Clothes drenched by 9am. Not as many people today, but again possibly too many for a comfortable experience. Limit ticket sales or change your venue. Had an unfortunate experience following a meeting with one guest which I won't go into here, suffice to say the crew trying to console me were doing a VERY poor job of it, to the point where one girl was being downright unpleasant. Overall, I am shocked that this is the same Showmasters who organised LFCC 2013 as that for me was a wonderful experience. This will sadly be my final SM con unless real guarantees are made that the biggest issues are not repeated. Guarantees backed with refunds if promises made are not acted on.

Sounds a bit like how the true believers award went down at the same time. Very bad quality audio and video with people not really knowing what was going on. The saving grace though was Tony Head on hosting duties with a bit of help from Jason mews, seemed to do a brilliant job with a difficult situation, ad-libbed very well and generally remained in good spirits. Fortunately he made it worth the 20 quid paid, but I would have been demanding a refund had someone less interesting hosted it.

Just a heads up, I get the impression based on last week's friday announcements that SM are working on a non-UK european timezone. The guests were posted on here at 6pm UK time last week.

Quick question, how was Friday so comparatively empty to Saturday? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining - I managed a personalisation from mr Dinklage and got to spend a good while with Charles martinet who was I'm relieved to see had one of the largest queues on Saturday when he had pretty much none on the day before. Both I'm happy to report were wonderful to meet. I was a bit worried that Peter might be a bit distant as one or two of your more bigger guests to be on occasion. Totally not disappointed thought :)

£177.00 (doesnt sound a lot when you say it quick hehe) worth of entry and photoshoot tickets arrived today. Phew! Will be sure to order sooner next time :)

Nothing today, tickets were ordered on the day the online shop closed (last minute I understand, but still rather concerned). I'm in a similar boat as to a few others by the sound of things in having to travel down to london in advance. The last day for me the tickets can arrive is tomorrow as I travel down thursday directly from work. Can I use my confirmation email as proof of purchase in the event that the tickets don't turn up? I've ordered a few photo shoots and early bird entry passes. Thanks.

My recent He-man marathon has got me really wanting to meet Alan Oppenheimer, I think he and John Erwin are both voice acting legends, but Skeletor is probably the greatest cartoon villain in existence and I always root for them The show itself is timeless. I know Alan at least has done one of these events before and I was gutted to have missed him then, so hopefully one or even both of them can attend a future con over here.

Ah well, will just have to bring my Bleach S2 tin sleeve now rather than my S1 one

An interesting competition to be sure - what happens if your mystery guest cancels? Regardless, I'll go with John Simm just because no-one else has suggested him yet (even though he's supposedly notoriously shy) I'll assume it's a big guest from new who, chances are all this fuss wouldn't be made about someone who dressed up as one of those rubbish fish with bottles strapped to their faces in 'The Doctor's Daughter' for example

I agree with most of what you say, but then I do think that perhaps SM are just as much to blame over the whole affair by choosing to hype the guest to begin with - also, yes we now know that agents and reps of existing guests read the forum, why in that case then would you make a song and dance over an amazing guest that you've managed to 'secure'? If I were a guest attending one of these cons as a signer and I found out that one guest in particular was being singled out as being, and I quote, 'AMAZING' - I'd feel pretty awkward about it, maybe my being there wouldn't be considered a big enough deal in comparrisson?

And the word amazing appearing in his career information? And his nationality? And the fact that he's only a fiver an auto with a freebie on the door? Yeah, what was I thinking?

I still think it's Steve Blum, if indeed the individual has not backed out - only announced guest to have his name all in upper case, american, never done a UK con (to my knowledge) and I know that someone from SM is a huge anime fan - not to mention the word amazing appearing in the description of his work, rightly so!

Call me cynical, but I think that this "Amazing" guest was just a ploy by SM to generate a shed load of publicity (which by the sounds of the things it has done). By cleverly not naming names, SM have dodged a bullet for falsely using a big name to sell the event. Perhaps when the event is been and gone, or the guest has been confirmed as a no show then the name could be made public?

I'm most looking forward to meeting Irvin and John R D - I've missed the latter at so many of these cons now, even my local one in manchester Must also give a special mention to Steve Blum, who I'm convinced is the amazing guest that SM have kept quiet about - am I wrong in thinking that one of the members of the SM team is a BIG anime fan? He's also the only guest so far who's name appears entirely in upper case and the word amazing rightly appears in SM's description of his work. In terms of anime and animation guests, you probably couldn't end up with an actor who has voiced more characters.

Massive Final Fantasy fan here, absolutely loved Advent Children so will be getting my blu-ray signed I have a rather limited edition Dirge of Cerberus Soundtrack too which houses the game case. An awesome guest, but any ideas why he seems to be the only one who's name appears entirely in uppercase? Speaking of Final Fantasy, any chance of getting Steve Burton or George Newbern to go with him?

Having just read the update on the first page again, I feel it would have been a smarter idea not to have had a quote "Amazing guest" thread created in the first place. What happens is, that as soon as the guest in question is announced, if it really is an amazing one, then people are going to know as such and post accordingly in the thread. What this does, is it makes SM look like they're placing a particular emphasis on the one guest and using them moreso than the other guests announced so far to promote the show, thus making those other guests feel slightly redundant and less valued by comparison. Or that's how I'd feel going up against an "amazing" guest if I was down to appear as a signer
