  1. It's unfortunate that you've had that problem, but I'm unsure how Brighton seems in any way to be an appropriate choice. Unless you live in London or in the immediate south of it, Brighton is virtually inaccessible. You can't drive there from north of London because getting past London pretty much guarantees you'll still be in the car until mid afternoon on the M25, and if you try to get the train you've got to go into London first, transfer, queue, pay for another train and then get out of there.
  2. Haha. My mind is going "OMG! Jayne and Casey! ... but his twitter. ... BUT JAYNE AND CASEY! ... but his twitter." "OMG JAYNE AND CASEY" is definitely winning.
  3. I still have my Claire (Heroes) Cheerleading outfit, perfect replica of the blue one. I haven't had chance to wear that for a long time so I might go for that. I really want to go as Miranda Lawson from Mass Effect (I have the hair and boobs, at least) but I'm not sure how to go about making the outfit. I think I'd need a very specific fabric.
  4. Call Universe 'crap' all you want - I won't be coming unless we have SGU guests. I've met pretty much everyone except for RDA from SGU and Atlantis, and I have no interest whatsoever in RDA.
  5. I really wanted to go to this, but... I'm only available on Sunday and I can't afford to pay for it just for the one, usually quieter, day. If you have another one I'd love to go, though. Good luck!
  6. DAMN! I can only attend for an hour, lol, I was hoping Kristanna or Virginia would have a photoshoot in that time. Bad luck.
  7. Haha! I always panic when they reach for the gold and request that they don't use it. That doesn't happen very often though because they rarely have gold pen. I always assumed that was because it was so poor compared to silver and black. How strange that some people think it's so good and I was under the impression that it was the devil of marker pens.
  8. Hmm, I'ms urprised that it's not a general problem with the gold pen. Every single autograph I've ever had in gold pen since 2002 has deteriorated already (still visible, but patchy), and I never stick them away until they have dried. I've had problems with an autograph in silver once, and that was because I put it away too hastily, and once with a black at this show, which might be because of the photo it was on, I guess.
  9. Gold pen is AWFUL. I usually find that it wears off pretty quickly. However, my Linda Hamilton auto was coming off before the event, and I left it out for a while to dry. And that's black ink, strangely.
  10. Haha. I think I would be worried if we DIDN'T have massive chasms of time with nothing posted .Id' think there was something wrong.
  11. I understood that you were saying Saturday was better than Sunday and agreed, but made the point that Saturday was still messy (from what I've been told). Hope you feel better - Hayfever was KILLING me when I was in MK!
  12. Oh, really? That's surprising, she seemed really warm in the photoshoots and very happy to get into a cosy pose
  13. LOL! Until you posted that, I didn't think there was a problem. I thought it was just a friendly chat on a message board.
  14. That may be so, but working better doesn't mean it worked perfectly...
  15. Actually I was told, by several people, it was complete chaos on Saturday with the Linda/Patrick queues merging and people from the back of the shorter Linda queue getting Patrick tickets before people near the front of Patrick's queue. Didn't complain though because I wans't actually there in the morning :)
  16. I don't think I've ever seen a mother and baby room anywhere I've ever been... I'm pretty sure there isn't one at the event, but maybe if you speak to them they can temporarily let you in somewhere private.
  17. I'm saying this with all due respect to the female photographer, because I've had some FANTASTIC shots with her, but I think the reason that she is on Photo B and Malcolm is on the busier Photo A is because Malcolm is the most experienced one of the two and therefore is more likely to think on his feet and change shots quickly. Perhaps you could send an e-mail and this can be mentioned to her as an improvement for the future. I've seen an improvement in the photos I've had with her so far (and with Malcolm's too!) so I'm sure with feedback both of them will continue to improve. HOWEVER... complaints or no complaints, they are still the two best photographers in the convention/events business. I usually end up having two or three photos taken, because I am stupidly short and even with the women sometimes he needs to switch to portrait to get a good frame.
  18. WOW! This surprises me. We got the room we paid for. I thought it was beautifully made up and furnished, the beds were comfortable, and I couldn't hear a thing from around me. One of the best hotels I've stayed in and I slept SO well that I didn't want to get up!
  19. After this weekend, I desperately want to see Alaina and Jamil!
  20. 1200 and got him to open Q by half 4 Yeah, yeah, stop bragging
  21. Yes, I had a fantastic time, much better than last year. I went to another event at the weekend as well and the photos (and everything, really) were so terribly organised that it made me appreciate Showmasters and Malcolm's efficiency and prowess even more! Haha. Only negative is that by the time I got through the photoshoot queue my hair was wet.
