In my experience yes, you have to get tickets on the day - they'll be given out on a 'first come first served' basis somewhere near the talk area. Yes because after someone has applied, been confirmed, confirmed their hotel nights, we've BOOKED their hotel room and rota'd them in, we just LOVE IT when people then pull out to go to a talk! The others I would love to go to as well but those are the main two I'm looking forward to. Now I just hope I get into the talks I want to see. There is no way I am not going to crew for just a talk, I'm sure the talks are really enjoyable and all, but I know that I will enjoy the crewing much more and will remember it for longer. Don't worry Too Tall, there's no way I'm missing out on crewing :) they're not going to organise it for you I'm afraid.
