YES! This would really be epic! I really would love a Harry Potter Event again. I would even organise one myself but can't do so without legit help, sadly I had no E-Mails back when I sent my ideas. I am sure the Events would still work. Maybe there will be one soon, or the Special End of Days one in 2017

Would love to go to this as finally a convention with Harry Potter guests again, but sadly can't due to work commitments and funds. Hopefully at one of the Events next year I am able to attend there'll be Potter guests too. Everyone going, have a great time

So, I noticed this Thread wasn't here yet and decided to open one. Who is bringing their Cosplay and who will you be? I am going to be Demetri, naturally and bring Alec for a few hours, or maybe even one of the days for photos.

There are still many HP fans, and a lot would love a con, so I like Michalel Killer's idea. Always worth a try, can't be more than a no. Also a lot of actors that have been too expensive or hard to get back then are available now and many don't have any acting careers at the moment, so I'd guess they'd attend a con. It's a shame to see that at neither Collectormania nor LFCC any HP guests have been invited this year at all so far, and there were hardly any previously. A few of the actors are in other projects as well now so sure it would be worth, and affordable inviting them. I can't see how they wouldn't be willing, or even loving to do them here.

MANCHESTER for sure, Sheffield and Leeds due to being the next closest options and can spend more at a con if travel costs are less ;-)

Oh yes CSI guests would be awesome too, forgot them in my post... I am sure I come up with more when I think of posting here when they are in my head LOL so many I would like to meet, some great suggestions so far let's see who we are going to get in the end

I'm not at all enthused about a Bluewater convention either. For EMS I paid: £24 - 2x early bird tickets £45 - Petrol £25 - Parking for the day £30 - lunch & dinner for two because I'm out for so long = £125 + 8hrs total drive Time for the day By comparison I spent £20 on a photoshoot and £55 on two autograps so £75. Essentially I paid £200 for 2 autographs and a photo and I'm absolutely dead after today's endurance marathon (up at 4am, back at 9:30 pm). To be honest I nearly didn't come today because I couldn't be arsed with getting this knackered and driving for so long, and that is after I'd already paid for the early bird tickets and photoshoot and parking! I almost threw away £70 just so I didn't have to slog my guts out getting to the show... but I forced myself because I knew I'd already spent that money and I'd regret not meeting Hurt and Rigg. The drive down to London EMS this morning was a awful and now I might have to think about adding another hour on to get to Kent? I'm not going to bother no matter how good the guests might be. To be honest I'm thinking of giving the London shows a miss because the costs involved in getting there from The North already seem like a total waste of money that could be put to better use on literally anything else. As if guests didn't cost enough the added expense of paying for hotels is a cost I don't want to entertain and the extra fuel costs or even higher train ticket fares put me off even more. I don't mind paying any price for any guest, its a privilege to meet them, but if getting in to the show itself is a logistical/financial nightmare i.e. it costs more to get there than the amount I spend on guests, it is too hard to justify the trip anymore. We have London Film and Comic Con, London Entertainment and Media Show, now Bluewater and Milton Keynes. Are Showmaster's events just run for the Southerners now then??? What happened to the likes of Collectormania in Coventry or Manchester? Why can't Showmaster's spread them out a bit so we all have the opportunity to have shows near us as well as having those that a bit further away? If you book trains early enough you can get from Manchester to London for about £50 return incl the tube day ticket for London getting there within 3 hours, so less knackered and cheaper than petrol and parking. I do however agree that it is not right that there is no con up here in the north, not even Birmingham anymore! We spend more in travel and hotel if we have to do both days due to guest appearances than for the autographs and photos which don't come cheap as we all know. There are so many great venues and hotels up here and LOADS of people would attend as there are people up even further north that could come to the Manchester area but not London. I disagree with what some others have said in here about the London thing but of course those living down there wouldn't argue having them all down near London. We understand about business and revenue but the new media centre has been build up here too, and they wouldn't do that if there was no revenue up here don't you think? So yes I do hope that we will get a con up here again one day, hoping is all we can do. I appreciate all showmasters does and all and I am sure it will be a never ending discussion so that's my 2 cents thrown in and I am out. Peace.

I know this event is still ages away BUT no doubt some will already be planning or working on their cosplay so let's hear it / see it. Looking forward to this :-) I am not decided yet but it will most certainly be not Draco on both days, but most likely still Harry Potter related as I can't sew, can't do props and therefore can't get the willy wonka costume LOL.... but there's still a few months to go yet so we shall see :0)

Would have loved the office job with my expertise and being able to do what I can and being so varied and rich in experience, but I never had a reply either
