Moderators etmuse Posted January 19, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 19, 2010 I'm almost certain that I'll wear the strapless black glittery number I posted a pic of in the other thread. I have had it for at least a couple of years (my mum bought it for me) and never had the chance to wear it.

dragonsanddaffodils
Im really looking forward to this party! It should be awesome!! No idea what i am going to wear though! =x= Something red carpet worthy lol Watched the golden globes red carpet thing there, reckon all roadhouse attendees need to get sponsored by a dress designer lol
Moderators etmuse Posted January 19, 2010 Moderators Share Posted January 19, 2010 I reckon the dress I'm planning on wearing would get away with it on the red carpet... as long as someone more glamorous than me was wearing it. I'm more worried about the hair-and-makeup side - I just can't make my hair DO the 'glitzy red carpet' look. (Avoiding 'dragged through a hedge' is about the best I can manage with it normally)

zeitheist
Su, I've said this in the other thread, but your dress is gorgeous. And I didn't say this in the other thread but I love yours as well, etmuse! I'm sure you'll look plenty glamorous. Although I sympathise, because getting my hair to stay in any kind of "style" is impossible. Still, plenty of time to practise, eh? I went through my wardrobe the other day, and the only dress I have that still fits me is my leopard-print one. Which is gorgeous, but not really 'red carpet' enough. Well, maybe. I mean, have you seen some of the stuff people tried wearing at the Golden Globes?!
timecake
I don't want to wear a LBD like I always do to these sort of things. I want to buy a lovely bright coloured (but tasteful) dress! erin_sumara
Thank you Sophie luv!! Lets hope I get an excuse to buy/wear it!! I'm not ever a dress person, I have other *ahem* features that are better than my legs so I tend to dress *them* up lol! But for this if we can make the friday it'd be great to wear a nice dress. Hair and make up......... well make up would have to match your dress I think and natural but not un-done would be my advice, if you're making a big deal with the dress and shoes and that then simple make up is one less thing to worry about lol!! Hair for me would prob be either curly or waved, well more likely waved cuz it's easier and quicker and looks nice but a bit like shaggy too which I like. Think it depends on what hair type you are, most hair can be straightened (anyone who knows midnight rose can get her to back me on that lol) and if its like UBER curly then some good professional serums or something will add some bounce and shine and make a natural look a bit more glamourous. .... god I'm like a talking girly mag! hehe! eeeeeee so hope I can come to the friday so i can see everyone in their posh clobber!! captainpixie
I'm torn between dressing up ad dressing down for this! I'll either go all out [i own a black ballgrown type dress ;P] or I'll turn up in a suit, either way will have to see on the night!
Laraneia
I'll be wearing my floor-lenght, backless ,wine colored dress that I made for the office x-mas party last year. We had an Academy Awards theme so I think it'll do nicely :)
