tiggerific Posted December 29, 2004 Share Posted December 29, 2004 ok i could be completely wrong but im sure i looked on the wembley site back when we were sorting accomodation for lfcc2 to find hotels and im almost certain that LFCC2 was not listed then.......but as i said i could be wrong. *crosses fingers for lfcc3* it was such a cool weekend so i do hope all these rumours are just that-rumours as someone said back amongst all those posts somewhere that sm are the only ones who can say yay or neigh to lfcc so we will just have to wait....in the mean time lets all go finish our turkey from xmas - turkey sandwich anyone?? Numerous people have left this forum or have stopped posting due to the exploits and comments made by Snout Face. I for one will count myself privileged to be among them. titania Posted December 30, 2004 Share Posted December 30, 2004 I have a great deal of faith in Showmasters. They do after all have a proven track record of running these kind of events. I am not concerned about the fact that the website has not been updated or the fact that guest annoucements have not been pinned on the forum - it is after all the holiday season and these are internal administration matters which can be dealt with very quickly in the new year. However, the fundamental cause for concern is the simple fact that the event is not listed on the Wembley website. If you click on the website and go to March it very clearly states that there are no current exhibitions planned for that month. This to me is an external sign that all is not well. It could, of course, be a simple mistake on the part of the organisers of the Wembley website. But if so it is a mistake that is costing Showmasters dearly as people who may need to book plane/train tickets in order to come to the event are going to be extremely concerned that a scant two months before the event is due to take place, the website of the venue itself gives no indication that the event is actually happening. Of course all this speculation can be put to rest by a simple statement from Showmasters as to whether the event is going ahead or not. I have no wish to appear negative but I like many others need to start making travel plans for that weekend and as the event draws nearer with no definitive response from Showmasters I am becoming increasingly wary of booking trains/hotels when it seems entirely possible that the event will either not take place or will take place at an alternative venue. A simple clear response will keep every happy - if you wait too long you will alienate all those who need to make travel/accomodation arrangements which may result in the event being even less well attended that the previous event.
