  1. Like many others, I store mine in acid-free poly pockets in ring binders (with 4 x rings preferably) I have one folder for space-related autos that is sub-divided into the various manned programmes (Mercury, Gemini, Apollo etc.) Others are for WW2-related autos, movie and TV-related, sport and miscellaneous. The only category I was particular about putting in order is the "Alien" movie cast autos in the sequence that each character met their demise in the movie (with Sigourney bringing up the rear)
  2. Sean Astin, Jacqueline Pearce, Peter Mayhew, Shane Rimmer, John Challis
  3. A lovely man, so glad he visited us in Glasgow in 2014. He had a great career and was much-loved, there's not much more you can ask for in a lifetime. Rest In Peace Kenny.
  4. In my opinion Gerald a box set should be classed as a "flat" item but hopefully someone from Showmasters can advise further
  5. I managed to acquire a 1960s press release signed by Peter Sellers that arrived in the post this morning; well chuffed with it!
  6. She was there last year but hopefully you will get a chance to meet her in the future
  7. Haven't read through all of the previous posts but might I suggest Tom Morga if not already mentioned.
  8. Having enjoyed re-reading Raise the Titanic! and then 2061: Odyssey 3, I will start on "End of Watch" by Stephen King
  9. I made the mistake of telling Roy I was a Rangers fan...
  10. So sad. Rest in Peace Anton.
  11. Thanks Stuart. Anyone interested in spaceflight should meet Gen. Duke if they get a chance; he's arguably the nicest man on the planet! (pardon the pun)
  12. Your issue may be with Tolkien rather than the movie trilogy as Peter Jackson would have wanted to stay pretty close to the source material. He did attempt to redress the balance with the addition of Evangeline Lilly's character in the Hobbit movies though...
  13. I had a business meeting yesterday with a lady who was an actress in a former life. Never one to miss an opportunity for a signature...( and I scored a few brownie points at the meeting).
  14. This is a favourite of mine from Charlie Duke
  15. Time to open up the Library again. I see Raylenth's returned The Wizard of Oz; one more day and it would have been a fine... "Space Carrier Avalon" was ok; formulaic space navy drama that had a well-realised universe and some nice touches (believable science with regard to faster than light travel for example) but it all went a bit "Mills and Boon" with too much focus on shipboard romances for my taste. Forgot I had a load of books on my hard drive so have downloaded an old favourite onto the kindle for another read; Clive Cussler's "Raise the Titanic!". This guy knows how to write a good yarn! My name is Pitt...Dirk Pitt...
  16. cookiemonster is spot on. Nevertheless, the "lectures" are very interesting and entertaining without being overly technical and are highly recommended.
  17. moviemarket.com They have reprints and originals
  18. Outside the ring he stood up for his principles and was an inspirational and much-loved figure.
  19. Only had one "smudge incident" so far; carelessness on my part (insufficient wafting) caused the silver ink to stick to the inside of the poly pocket (see previous post) Tried to salvage it and its reasonably legible!
