  1. I thought he was perfect: you need to be quite bossy and loud given the number of people there and he tried to lighten it a bit at times. It was clear and organised. Have to say getting the photo right away is brilliant. Makes such a difference.
  2. Unless a guest is listed above the guest will be around all day. They might not arrive exactly at opening, but from past experience should be around at 10 AM at the very latest. Hi Queen_Sindel, thanks for reply post.
  3. Hi, on a time constraint sunday so wanted to know when the Liverpooll 60s stars will start signing tommorrow. If anyone can help that would be much appreciated!!
  4. These events are always brilliant but they are very tiring so taking a breather watching some film footage would be welcomed.
  5. Alan Rickman would be brilliant!! In the spirit of always aiming high...... Re the Buffy guest suggestions, few mention Nathan Fillion..who I would like to meet primarily for his work in CASTLE which IMHO is one of the best TV shows on at the moment. Stana Catic from the show would be cool too and she appeared in Heroes and Bond. No doubt both vere expensive so cheaper CASTLE stars would be good! Re Dr Who Christopher Eccleston tops my list whilst Sean Bean would be an amazing guest too!! ps My son also wants Jar Jar Binks (Ahmed Best) back!!
  6. Still, was really pleased with the guests I met today, thanks Showmasters
  7. saw the queue for the lift so walked down and ended up in a no-man's land!!
  8. Out of interest what time was that? Met him pre his photoshoot and he was dedicating autos then. Very friendly guy, great to meet him today.
  9. Really annoying she has pulled out but there are lots of other great guests. I wouldnt have paid for the Dr Who talk if I had known she wasnt going to do it...still we have Rory, Amy and River represented at the talk albeit in different time zones!!
  10. edited by QS: removed for reasons stated below.
  11. Does going open queue just mean no VT limits or does it mean there is more time for personalisations...really wanted an Arthur dedication so was wondering if better at the end of the day.
  12. They are still there. It appears the items have been re-sorted, and the Saturday tickets are showing up in a different location to the others due to slightly different wording. They can be found here. Thanks 1 of 2, panic over re Arthur!!
  13. Another ticket query for the SM team..went to book an early bird ticket for the saturday but seems none left, just post 11am whereas available for the sunday. Are they all gone? What happens if a photoshoot/talk is pre 11am and you havent got an early bird ticket. Thanks
  14. Arthur Darvill John Simm Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic from Castle (Nathan in Buffy too)
  15. I have only been to two events before Saturday and can apprciate how much work it must take to get everything running. There were a few things that bugged me (lack of freebie signings on Friday and lack of personalisations with Karen ) but stepping back from it all, it was a great event. I was worn out on the saturday so pity the crew that did all 3 days! Unfortunately, some of the issues described relate to the unpredictably of people and especially "stars" and I expect that will never change.
  16. all the guests were so friendly, but Natalia was the best. So friendly and chatty. I asked her to dedicate her auto to my two children and she added a ps of "do your homework!". very funny. Well done to the team for quickly making it a VT signing after long queues/
  17. Thought it odd that she sat down too. obviously a few gripes expressed in these pages but overall a fantastic event, great to meet so many people. I set a cash budget and stuck to it but could have spent so much more. It was hot in there but I went outside over lunch and got some fresh air which made a big difference. Stunned at the queues, amazing. If I was to make one critcism, it was the lack of personalisation for Karen's autos. This has been covered elsewhere but in my collection all the pics are dedicated except this one. I know there is a trade off between my experience and the need to maximise money and get as many people to meet her but given she asked my son's name and was a very quick signer I dont think it would have made any difference to how long we were with her. As an solution how about charging £25 (or less) for a signature and double for a dedication so that those people really desperate to have this could still be happy, a reward for being so dedicated and getting to the venue 2 hours early in the hope of getting a dedication. Overall brilliant day...but I am worn out so hats off to you guys going back for more today
  18. Understand the need to ban posed photos of her at the table but do hope we can take photos of her signing - with so many fake autos around its nice to have documented proof its an original signature
  19. It will be around 400. thanks, helps with planning the day
  20. The photoshoots are called in batches, like 0-50 etc. If you miss your batch you can join anytime afterwards normally! what do you think the cut off will be for karen gillan part 1 photoshoot. I am 397 so not sure if part 1 or part 2?
  21. I'll be carefull with the clip frames if I was you as they have a tendancy to stick to the glass. Belive me I know I "lost" a autograph this way I now have proper frames with mounts. I always keep the original in a folder but have a high quality scanned photo in a frame.
  22. billie piper tom baker christopher eccleston arthur darville angela lansbury kevin whateley
