A quick question here. Does anyone who has had a photo session with Robert in the past get the choice of whether they get a Freddy pose or not. I've always wanted to have a photo with him, but have been put off by the Freddy poses he does. I'm more a fan of him because of V and would like just a regular photo.

Just ask him. He's a lovely lovely guy, he will not take offence.

I've definitely seen him do both, and he's more than happy to do whatever it takes to please whoever is having the photo :hathor:

 

One of the most approachable guys you'll ever get at these events.

Ask him, he will do! He is one of the best people I met!

 

And by the Way... he will like that you are interested in V!

 

It´s not that he doe not like Freddy (of course not) but he is always happy to talk about some other themes than just Freddy... :hathor:

OMFG!!! Ive been waiting for this for years!

 

Id never heard of showmasters before and the collectromanias, but once i found them i signed up and have been keeping a close eye on them for Robert. But after e-mailing his website and an e-mail supposedly from Nancy (his wife) saying there was no trip to the UK coming up. I gave up for a while.

 

By TOTAL chance i just happened to be abit nosey and read the latest e-mail that came through reminding me that milton keynes was less than a week away.......and to my surprise...ROBERT ENGLUND! Im not going to lie here....but i was that shocked i actually cried! PMSL, been waiting for this for AGES.

It will be over a 3 hour drive, my very first collectormania....and damn am i excited! I only found out last night too so its short notice and im doing everything in my power to be there on sunday.

 

Now for those of you kind enough to have read this far....all of those who have been before...

 

i see the pictures have all sold out, whats the likelihood of me getting one on the day. will he sign the top of my leg? Im hoping to get it tattooed.

and how early do you have to be there to secure autographs/pictures. Id be gutted if i made such an effort to get down and i couldnt get what i wanted!

 

I want him to sign my glove, a pair of NOES shoes i have that im getting married in! and my leg.....you think thats do-able?

 

EDIT: Also....are you allowed to take pictures whilst he is signing your items? x

 

FREAKIN EXCITED!

I've met Robert before at a convention a few years ago. He was fantastic with the fans and must have spent about 5-6 mins with me.

 

I'm really happy he's attending at I'll get chance to see him again and this time i'm getting my original Nightmare on Elm Street Poster signed by him.

 

Also for the event i'm getting dressed up as Freddy on the Saturday and it is quite a realistic costume. Don't be scared too much :-P

Don't worry, the photo ops haven't sold out online, it's just the online shop has closed taking orders due to the time it takes posting tickets out etc :lol: you shouldn't have a problem buying photoshoot vouchers for RE.

 

If there's a Virtual Queue ticket system operating (look at the FAQ Thread if you need it explaining) for him if he's particularly busy then it's a maximum of 5 items, so even then you'll be fine. As for the leg: well I've heard he's game for a laugh so I'd imagine/hope you'd be okay with that one!

 

As for photos at the desk, that one can't be judged beforehand really, you'll have to wait and see on the day :angry:

 

I'd also say get there for opening time, just for peace of mind more than anything. It's a bit later starting the Sunday so not such an early wake up call for you.. Though by the sounds of it I wonder if you'll sleep atall :P

and your right...i dont think ill sleep ha ha and i may be too star struck to ask him to sign the tog of my leg...it may mean getting part of my bum out eeeek!!! and no-one wants to see that! LOL

 

im so glad im able to get pics and autographs!! yipee!! :) x

I need to ask a random stranger to take as many pictures as physically possible whilst im getting my stuff signed....this is like the biggest event of the century for me (and im even getting married next year!) and im abit of a photo monster :) need LOTS!!

im still waiting to hear back off my mate whether he is coming along or not (paranoid girlfriend situation) so i may well be going it alone....and if i am i need a stranger photographer :) lol

I think you'll be fine, the person who's usually sat with the guest will help you out with the photography, I know they always have if ever I've been on my own or tried in vain to get my mother to use an iPhone camera!!!!!! ;)

ive had confirmation my friend is allowed to go so im sure he can take some :)

 

oooo not long to go now!! we are going down saturday night so we can be there for opening time sunday...we have to be back early due to my friend doing a gig so need to catch the train!

holding camera not a problem...taking as many photo's as possible also not a problem i love taking photo's i can take 100's without thinking about it :D

i is girly with shaved head with blue spikey fringe like tank girl and will be carrying my pg monkey dressed as doctor who :smile: see you sunday :)

kinkbunny i saw you in the queue!! only saw u last minute though as u walked past...u were about 4 people infront and was carrying a living dead doll...i only noticed u as its the doll i wanted!! ha ah and then i looked up n realised who you were :)
