chimmykins
Just won the last piece to my Kaylee costume Someone posted a link somewhere in the forum, with a site where you can get vampire masks. I can't find it anymore. Can anyone help? If by masks you mean vampire "bumps" this thread from the Hallowhedon forum might help: http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index....showtopic=51774 And here's a few links to buy them: http://www.reelmagik.com/REELMAGIK/STORE.html http://www.awencreations.co.uk/database.ph...ry=2&ID=161 Also found one on ebay from Awen Creations but looks like it's cheaper than their website: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PROFFESSIONAL-VAMPIR...=item20b36c3c07 Hope that helps :) Great! That helps a lot! Thank you!!! You're welcome. :)
RainbowTapir
If I can figure out how to do the makeup scars, I'm very much considering going as Dr Saunders would be simple, and inexpensive, yet awesome I hope. And then maybe as an "inactive" Doll for the Sunday? VERY simple yet hopefully recognisable :)

yellowmarlin
I bought another piece of my Jayne Cobb costume yesterday. Yay! What piece? A pair of combats from Primark (only the best will do, obviously lol). I ended up getting a pair with a camo pattern on them, which I wasn't going to until they announced the Initiative party and I figured I could make the one pair of trousers work for both parties. chimmykins
I'm on the hunt for his gloves at the moment, if you have any suggestions. I've been looking and best suggestion is to buy some black leather look "work" fingerless gloves and to paint the parts the right colour. I'm asuming it's these gloves of his: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm901814528/ch0003807 This thread has some Jayne glove info on it: http://www.scifihero.net/forums/lofiversio....php/t3706.html This link may also be useful: http://community.livejournal.com/fireflycostumes/tag/jayne are we wearing the same outfit then? :-) Sort of, you're wearing where she meets Book and I'm wearing the teddy bear overalls after she gets shot - so no parasol or blue jacket or flipflops for me and I'll have a flower patch covering the bullet hole :)

The best option seems to be to buy a pair of gardening gloves and to cut the fingers off, but I can't find a pair in a sensible colour.

A friend of mine did a Jayne costume a few years ago and thats EXACTLY what he used, gardening gloves with the fingers cut off, like you say its just a matter of finding the right colour..... or you could try fabric painting ones that are "close enough"... vampirellie
I think you're going to have to go with the fabric paint as well, good idea captain mal. I'm going to the friday night party as a vampire cheerleader and the trouble i have had trying to get a cheerleading outfit is unbelievable as the top is made of cotton. I'm getting the skirt made for me and thought i would have no problem finding a mustard top to go with it. No such luck. I've found it impossible to get a similar mustard top and just as hard to get a mustard dye!!! The stress we go through for these parties. At least it's worth it in the end. Oh and if anyone knows where to get a mustard colour clothes dye i would be very grateful as at the minute i'm gonna go with gold.
