Hello there, i am dressing up for the saturday night as a vampire, and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with prosthetics and stuff. I have got a forehead but have no idea what to do with it, i have never used much make up before so dont really know what i am doing.

Is there anyone staying in heathrow that could possibly help with this? i dont want to look a complete idiot!!

Don't worry I'm doing the same thing, I'll help you apply your forehead and help with make up if you like, I've got an instruction book with mine.

That would be great. I am staying at the premier inn in heathrow, we could keep in touch and then meet up before the party.

My husband and i are fairly new to conventions so we dont know a lot of people. It seems there are a few who meet up regularly, so it can feel a little daunting.

I appreciate your help. Nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you too, I'll be in the convention hotel, all you'll need to bring is your forehead and any special make up you want to wear and the glue and I'll have the rest with me.

Just hope you'll like the results. :P

i've been Talking to a seller on ebay that does make up and prothetics for a living and he mentions that grease based are very good but there is one make called Pax (but pricey) that he loves, I've been searching the internet for some and will be getting it in the near furture so I can use mine if you want.

It's just if you want a specific colour eye shadow and lippy that you really need to bring. :(

Ok fond it, the person I've been talking to has a webshop called. www.reelmagik.com and you can contact him through that, and if there is something that's not in the shop he can normally come up with it

I've go the top lucious teeth as i can only wear vaneers, - wonky teeth. lol

These are the one I got:

http://www.mostlydead.co.uk/Vampire-Fangs,...oduct_info.html

They mould to your teeth then you put the putty on the back and let that set and there you have it a perfectly good set of teeth. The only thing i'm missing are my contacts as I'm waiting until payday.

just had a look at there website how cool is some of there stuff. not sure if to be a vampire or a victim of one, got the sunnydale tshirt which i was planning on just wearing with jeans and throw some fake blood on- simple yet could be effective and more importantly easy to pack.

Wow u really r organised.

I looked at those teeth, but can i ask, what do u mean put the putty on the back? Do they just hang on ur teeth, or is there something that goes round the back of your teeth?

What it is I can put like fangs on my teeth if they go anywhere near the back of my teeth so I can only use veneers that only cover the front, the putty make a mould of you teeth so when you put the veneers on they kind of click into the shape your teeth, the putty sets hard so messy nasty stuff.

Hope that helps

ha ha, i totally get the mick taken out of me for being organised. like i've already don't my christmas shopping, i've had my gown bought since February for Hallowhedon. lol

Ok. Just got my make-up ordered and it come with instructions. always a bonus and quite a reasonable price of $9.99 plus postage to UK. Nice. The website I listed earlier didn't have the make-up kits but I e-mailed the bloke that has it and he's doing me set just for me. :D

That is reasonable, did u go for quite natural looking make up or is it a bit out there? I ordered my teeth from vamp fangs, they are in transit. I cant wait to try them out. I have got finger nails sorted, going to buy some false ones and paint them black before i put them on. Found some really cool ones, that are pre glued. and they polish really well.

What kind of costume u wearing?

wow that sounds so cool. My dress is a boned bodice in like a claret colour, and the skirt is the same colour but i have got black spider web lace over the top of it, and the same lace has been used to make my sleeves, they are going to be long and floaty.

Nice - sounds good to me, love floaty sleaves but can become a bit of an a**e after half an hour (nightmare at a buffet. lol), got a dress with themon and I end up wrapping them round my arms. lol

I'm thinking a deep burgundy lippy is needed for this outfit :D
