  1. Seriously? Haha, that actually makes me really happy that it worked so well. Thank you <3 Alan even commented on them, haha. If I end up going to next Hallowhedon (which is a big possibility, if I can afford it) I may just re-use this costume because I do love it so, and it's ridiculously cheap to do
  2. I have, but I haven't seen any pictures around. Shame. Oh well! Oh, and thank you for the kind words! Means a lot to me! Ooh, I did find this person http://gilesgphotography.photoshelter.com/...0000h4opoZfT4qo who is not me but whose scars also look amazing! Sad I didn't get to meet her in person, that would have been cool, haha. (Maybe that person is who you were thinking of? My scars were more healed ones.)
  3. I got mine today! My mother thought it was a leaflet or something and nearly threw it out. Glad she didn't. :)
  4. Okay, so, weird question! But basically, I don't actually have a picture of my costume from the Friday and Saturday nights, and it takes a hell of a long time to put it on so I probably won't be doing it again anytime soon. Having said that, a few people did ask for photos of me over the course of the night - was wondering whether anyone got one of me that they'd be able to share? :) (I was the Dr Saunders with the realistic-looking scars, dress, and labcoat). As an addendum to that, I made a few friends over the course of the weekend, and made the stupid mistake of not asking for their names or usernames or anything. So does anyone remember talking to me and/or making friends? :) Sorry about the weird request.
  5. Ah, awesome. Thanks! (I am so excited. Also hoping to make some new friends!)
  6. I know this is a bit vague and it probably varies loads, but if it's possible, does anyone have an average for how long each autograph queue takes? Just so I know roughly when to arrive This is my first proper con, I am so excited! (I have a standard ticket, if that makes a difference - group N). Oh also - I'm gonna be alone on part of Saturday and all of Sunday, and I'm a really shy person, but I've been told that people at cons are really friendly and won't mind me hanging out with them - is this true?
  7. I read on the letter I was sent that on the first day I need to bring ID, which makes sense of course. The problem is that the only form of ID I really have is my passport, and I don't exactly trust myself to not lose it. So my question is, do I have to bring it on the Saturday and Sunday too? Because if I do, I'll be paranoid about losing it the whole time... I'm driving up to Heathrow every day, not in a hotel, so that kind of makes me even more worried :/
  8. I'm too poor to be able to afford more than one costume, so I'm making one and doubling it up - Dr. Saunders (Amy Acker version!) from Dollhouse. Complete with labcoat which works for the Initiative party, and just general awesomeness I think. Question though, I'm travelling there from home every day, and probably won't have time while at the con to apply the makeup scars. Would there be other people walking around during the middle of the day (ie. not at the parties) in costume? Or would I look a bit ridiculous?
  9. Okay, that's great - thank you so much! I'm so excited now!
  10. Thanks, that was really helpful! I was wondering if there was roughly a specific time I should arrive on the days, especially if I'm looking to go to some signings? Since I'm probably being driven there each day. :) I'm really looking forward to it now, everyone sounds so friendly and awesome.
  11. If I can figure out how to do the makeup scars, I'm very much considering going as Dr Saunders would be simple, and inexpensive, yet awesome I hope. And then maybe as an "inactive" Doll for the Sunday? VERY simple yet hopefully recognisable :)
  12. So I've never been to a con at all like this before, so forgive my ignorance please First of all, will most people be in costumes at the parties/would it be particularly bad form NOT to dress up? Not sure if I can afford to/will have time to make a costume. Alternatively would it make me look stupid if I were in a costume that didn't match the theme? xD Also, does anyone know what sort of time the parties finish? We're planning to drive there and back each day (we live maybe half an hour-40 minutes away?). Also when do the events start on each day, haha? In addition, is there a limited number of Standard tickets/when would it be "too late" to book them? Sorry for the overload of questions! I've been presented with the possibility to go to pretty much the best con in the world so I'm excited and want everything to go perfectly I thought I had some other questions but I can't remember them at the moment... Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to this :)
