Was I the only one that laughed a bit at that Vampire vision scene?? I just thought it was really comical, but also quite beautiful at the same time.

I liked the abrupt ending too. It also made finding where to put the lights-up cue on the film very easy. I had to make two 35mm prints up of this film and it's always nice to have a very clear ending :WINCE:

O I laughted too---pretty loud---If thats how their guna dress Vamp Bella, My Dear God, please dont turn her!! Lmao

Lol like everyone in my cinema laughed at the scene, i though it was funny lool :)

It was like watching Jack and Gill running down a hill.

Another bit I found pretty funny was when Ed/Bell and Alice were in the elevator....The music in the bckground should of been like MC Hammer, lol.

Am I the only one who thinks that scene with vampire bella is her turning scene? She has a blue floaty dress on and is also faster than Edward and they're running through the woods, it all points to that scene in BD, so why did she have gold eyes?! lol

I saw New Moon yesterday and I must say I really enjoyed it :D

Although I did think parts of the film were rushed and that there were some scenes in the book that I thought should hve been in the film.

I also think the problem I had was that I spent the whole time comparing the film to the book, so i've decided to see it again this wednesday and this time im not gonna think about the book im just going to let myself get lost in the film and go with the flow.

Saw New Moon again in a much smaller cinema and liked it much more - I treasured every EB moment lol and of course Rachelle.

Although I still prefer Twilight but actually liked NM this time - and it was because there were no people screaming - I didn't realise how much that can ruin a film - I mean SHUT UP :D

When Bella's about to jump off the cliff and she's speaking aloud to Edward... am I the only one that wanted her to turn and glare at him when she said 'You wanted me to be human. Watch me!'? I dunno, I felt like it would have made more of an impact

HAHA the dream scene with Ed and Bella WAS funny and loadsa people laughed both times i saw it :P

and yeah! i couldn't even see Edward wearing what he did in that scene in the real life part of the movie...or Bella for that matter :/ haha tooo old like.. :P

but her eyes shouldn't have been that colour unless thats generally the future, and not as soon as she changed...

i think Taylor lived up to the jacob expectations  and tbh i think they all acted REAAALY good :D

it was an overall good job of a movie

I laughed at that as well...they both looked quite weird to be honest lol!

I loved it...thought it was much better than Twilght and I loved Twilight. Taylor stole the show in my opinion...made me question whether i was Team Edward or Jacob and no not because of the abs...just the pure acting and emotion that he portrayed...it is hard to imagine that he is only 17. Kristin was brilliant in this as well, she didn't annoy me once as well. Everyone stepped up there acting, the woves looked fabulous, Michael Sheen was amazing and i thought Chris Weitz did a fantastic job creatively, expecially as he had tough shoes to fill from Catherine.

On another note this was the first time I was at a screening with audience screaming and clapping especially when Taylor first took his shirt off lol! :poki::D:P Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED LOVED IT and did I mention I LOVED IT.

Just two things that that I wasnt too keen on, OST no where near as good as Twilight (in my opinion).

and

I know its fictional and I know th Volturi have to be seen as true evil, think they could have found a different way round it without bringing children into the Volturi meal scene.

NM was a very good movie - really enjoyed it. I've said in another thread that it could have been half an hour longer so the trip back from Volterra and the 'epiphany' scene could have been included.

Some of the fav bits were Bella telling Edward to shut up in the voting scene, the elevator and Jasper - generally :P Oh and the sparkly skin, the eyes and Kristen were 100 times better :D

Chris Weitz did stick very closely to the book and we will definately be seeing NM again - I've never got why Twilight didn't include the meadow scene from the book which was for me vitally important :D

Yeah I agree - I mean I don't think any of us would mind spending another half hour with Edward - so why no "The Truth" scene

So have been waiting to review properly and after the third time of seeing the film this afternoon, I think I am ready. This will be long and contain *spoilers* so do not read ahead if you have not seen it yet.

I absolutely adore this film, in my opinion it is better than Twilight, the bigger budget has helped, I felt Weitz was more faithful to the book than Hardwicke, he got the connection between Bella and Jacob perfectly.

Kristen's acting has improved on Twilight, she is growing more comfortable in the role of Bella or perhaps acts better as a manic depressive, lol. I never imagined Bella as a crying weepy wreck in New Moon, she was just sort of dead inside and Kristen did a great job of revealing the pain and anguish through her letters to Alice and generally being in a trance like state, anyone who has been heartbroken will know the empty feeling in your chest :D Loved every scene with her and Taylor, they just worked so well together. Loved the reunion scene with Edward in Italy, amarzing, everything being reconciled in the seconds after he realises Bella is alive, made me cry with tears of joy.

Taylor Lautner totally blew me away, he is clearly very talented, not only is his physical change is impressive, but he really put his heart and soul into every scene. I enjoyed every scene he was in, I really think he is going to bug the hell out of me in Eclipse. I am totally not a Jacob fan in the books, he kind of just annoys me, but Taylor has completely turned that around for me with his portrayal of Jacob in New Moon.

I loved the cinema scene with Bella, when Mike was in the toilet throwing up, he went from being so tender with Bella to getting really mad at Mike and almost turning into the Incredible Hulk. I also loved the scene where he is trying to tell Bella about being a wolf but is bound not to tell her, you can just see how pained and desperate he is for her to know.

Rob was divine as ever, although think they needed to airbrush his laughter line's out a little with the amount of white make up they plastered on his lovely face, it was criminal in my opinion. Really this dude is meant to be absurdly beautiful! My favourite scene with Edward was of course the break up scene, actually it started with the birthday scene after Bella was bleeding all over the lovely shag carpet and Jasper had decided he wanted to chow down on her, when the hungry vamps had left the room and Edward was standing there looking at her with eyes that knew this had to end :*( Then removing himself in her room :**( I was almost having a nervous breakdown by the time he kissed her head and closed his eyes like it was the most painful thing he had ever done in his 109 years :***(. I also swooned for England at Edward reciting back to Mr Birdie the Romeo line's from the film, Rob need's to do a period drama ASAP.

The wolf pack - awesome. Alex was great as Paul, when I met him at LFCC, I thought awww he is way to sweet to play Paul, but yeah, he was kind of sexy being mean. Also Bronson as Jared was brilliant, the killer line of "guess what? We're faster", too funny, he really reminds me of someone but I can't think who? I was worried about the CGI when I saw the trailer of Jacob phasing in the air, but actually it wasn't that bad in the film, some parts were actually a little scary and they were huge enough too.

The soundtrack in this film is amazing and also love the score too. The scene for me that is as awesome musically as the Baseball scene with Super Massive Black Hole is the scene with Victoria and the Wolves running through the woods, this really is setting the scene for Eclipse and Thom Yorke - Hearing Damage playing over it was a masterpiece.

I am gutted that Rachelle Lefevre has been replaced on Eclipse, she was brilliant without even saying a word.

Now have seen also people saying about Alice's outfits not being very fashionista as they didn't show off her petite body, I loved her outfits, am I the only one? lol. Maybe? Layers and scarves are my thing.

Michael Sheen as Aro, genius casting here, this guy is phenomenal, he captures the essence of Aro to a tee, sophisticated, sinister, the greediness in his eyes at all of the Cullen's special powers and the longing to know how Bella's ability will transform when she become's an immortal, just perfect. It's been mentioned before but why is Marcus speaking? He doesn't speak he's meant to mope and be generally depressed? Although I do love Christopher Heyerdahl so can forgive this oversight. I loved Caius parting speech to them about hurrying up with the transformation and that the Volturi do not give second chances.

Felix and Demetri, obviously am biased as love Dan and Charlie, the elevator scene was lolarious, so uncomfortable and loved the drama and voice projection of Charlie playing Demetri, I can't wait for him to showcase his tracking ability in Breaking Dawn, it's going to be epic!

The only thing that bugged me about the Volturi scene was the fight scene with Felix and Edward, as much as it breaks my heart to see poor Rob thrown around like a rag doll, it is also very unlikely that Edward would have got his ass kicked like he did, this made Edward look like a wuss . If we recall in Eclipse when Jasper is training them to fight against the Newborns, Jasper could not win against Edward because Edward could read every move Jasper was going to make and moved before Jasper could get him.

I don't think the end scene was rushed, I think they got across what they needed to and it was pretty clear from the reunion scene that they were reconciled. I am just glad that he proposed at the end :) But was desperately sad for Jacob's wolfy sad face too :( I really can see people moving over to Team Jacob after seeing this film.

Stars that will always shine for me in the Twilight saga:

Billy Burke as Charlie, this guy doesn't even have to try to be funny and he hasn't read the books so kudos to him for nailing Charlie Swan with only the script.

Kellan Lutz as Emmett, loved his one funny line "The older woman huh?" lololol - please can we have more from our fave cuddly bear in Eclipse... Please, we love this dude!

Justin Chon as Eric, the R&J movie watching scene with Mr Birdie was lolarious, he is just such a warm nice guy, I love him.

Nikki Reed, I can't wait for her to have her moment in Eclipse, I think she is awesome, that is all.

Okay I will shut up now, am sure more will come to me.

To sum up, I think Chris Weitz rocks and I am all for him doing Breaking Dawn :)

Thank you and good night x

woooowww! that was ONE HELL of a review :D

and yess! i agree on just about everything!

i think if people have read the books and are team edward i htink after this film they might sway a bit towards jacob...but knowing what he is gonna be like in eclipse just stops me! haha

i mean...i did feel sorry for him in the new moon book, but in eclipse he just pushes it! haha!

but yeah awh i love the movie, it is funny and emotional! :D

SugarSpunSister that is one awesome review and I agree with pretty much everything you said.

As far as Felix kicking Edward's ass - Stephenie apparently advised on that scene and she said that in the way that Edward hears thoughts and Alice sees the future, Felix's gift is fighting, so he should be stronger than any other vampire.

Good call on Rob's laughter lines - he looked like he had aged ten years since Twilight. I actually thought he looker hotter here than in Twilight, but he certainly did not look seventeen.

How much did you want Alice's blue coat ensemble with the scarf and the arm warmers - that was seriously cute!

The only way for me in which the film was inferior to Twilight was the cinematography - I missed the way that Forks was like a character itself in Catherine's movie, with those fabulous misty panoramas, and I loved the cool indie vibe that the blue filter gave everything. In every other way, though, New Moon was superior.

If Edward and Bella's relationship in this movie paled against the Bella and Jake interaction then to me that was the fault of Twilight, which as a movie failed to really portray the depth of feeling between Bella and Edward. If the first movie had taken more time over establishing Bella and Edward's romance (a proper meadow scene; scenes of them discussing their favourite books; Edward singing her to sleep; actually using the word "love"), then it would have been more apparent in this movie what she had lost, and how much deeper it was than what she feels for Jake.

I love Catherine Hardwicke but part of me wishes they could go back and remake Twilight with Chris at the helm.

You LIKED the blue? I never liked it..and it made New Moons flashbacks look stupid.

I loved it. It gave the whole film an overcast quality which was perfect for the tone of the film. Unlike New Moon, Twilight had a real visual style about it. New Moon has it's own colour theme, of course, but I don't think the cinematography was as special as Twilight's.

I didn't think that the flashbacks to Twilight looked stupid at all in New Moon - they are supposed to jar with the rest of the movie. That's kind of the point - ice and fire. The blue misty look of Twilight not only gave Forks the unwelcoming cold and dampn quality that Bella resents when she first moves there, but it also represented the Cullen clan - cold and mysterious. Chris Weitz conciously went for a warm golden tone for New Moon - the age of Jacob and the wolves. Jake is Bella's personal sun - hot blooded, earthy and connected to nature, so the film has a warmer palette.

When you put it like that (the ice and fire thing) it does make a bit more sense but I dunno, it still doesn't thrill me the whole blue thing..

THIS however, does :YAHOO::P:P

Thanks, sorry it was so long, I got carried away and wanted to mention everything and everyone... hehe.

I think the colour palette thing is referred to in the Movie Companion, which is totally spot on, but I also think the quality of New Moon is overall better and this is down to the budget and Chris Weitz I think.

I agree with you Timpe, the connection and love between Bella and Edward wasn't there in Twilight, it was all lip quivering and longing gazes and snogging passionately on the bed... The whole lead upto to the kissing scene was rushed and the Meadow scene being taken out was total fail. I think Hardwicke got carried away with the whole crazy Vamp thing and lost a little of the love story by doing that.

Loved it!

The Twilight blue annoyed me!

Showed how well Kristen can act much better than Twilight. Loved how they did everything, the underwater scene was amazing!

Only problem was with the soundtrack, it wasnt strong enough for me! Oh and Alices vision of Kristen as a vampire, way too cheesy!

Much love for Chris Weitz!

I agree! I was like aw man you could've least used a warm filter over the time or summit lol

I think the blue of twilight always looked kinda fuzzy, the clarity of this film made it look magic
