Completely agree it should be enforced either that or some happy medium. Unfortunately there is always gonna be those who continue to disobey the regulations until something is done. I think those who do have them should be barred for a certain period of time from the cons. Only way to get people to not do it. Could you imagine a con where the guests didnt have permanent flash in their eyes and sat at a table without being ushered round due to them swamped by attendees

Apologies in advance as this may come across as 'trying to shoot you down in flames' and that is not the intent. Hopefully you will have a reply to my concerns I quite like the idea of a photo area in the party. My concern would be as soon as a guest enters that area then every attendee will charge across leaving the rest of the hall empty. I have visions of it turning into a scrum (no offence to anyone!) With the Gold pass/reception idea. Timing for this may be an issue unless it is extended. Most people aren't as quick as the likes of Malcolm wich could result in a huge amount of extra time required. It may result in people not seeing the guests at all which sort of defeats the meet & greet objective. LOL no it doesnt I completely see where you are coming from I know its rough round the edges but there could be a way of it working. Just need to figure out a way of it not being a mass exodus to the photo area. It doesnt have to be in the corner of the room could be a part of the room that is already pretty popular AND doesnt have to be limited to one area. Could be colour coded and anyone caught taking photos of the guests in a certain colour is asked to delete it straight away? I dont know thinking aloud really, but there is a way I will find one haha.

That would be brilliant! Nicola, I brought up the issue about sorting the parking validation up with the Hilton and they are going to look into it as they agree the current system isn't working! Also like the idea, mum and I were hanging around waiting for the Sunday party as well, maybe a room like ET1's meadow room? OOOH well done JaneDoe, hope they resolve it took me an hour to pay my ticket on Sunday Meadow room sounds amazing but I think TooTall is thinking of the extra setting up and dismantling of another room. Thats why I mentioned the twilight restaurant and the room being a mix, sort of kills two birds if you like. Restaurant doesnt have to be open to serve hot food permanently the little snack bar was sufficient outside the talks room. We could maybe look at just having a bigger room tables and chairs set up for the hot food and a bigger area where we can all just plonk our bums on the floor

Ok I have been thinkin of a way of being able to respect the guests when they come to the parties and adhere to the rules of the con, but give attendees the chance to get some of their own personal memories and not have it as an official photoshoot. Still rough round the edges but maybe we could try this one: Gold passes get to have unofficial photos taken with the guests at the drinks reception one per guest. I noticed Alex sloping off into a dark corner on Satursday night to have a break from mingling BUT still enjoy the party, which sort of gave me an idea. We could have either a quiet corner or a photo corner so for example if the guest was in the photo area then that would mean he/she is willing to have the photos taken but of they are in the quiet area then we should respect their wishes and leave them alone. There is always going to be some who swamp them but this may possibly work. It would give everyone the chance over a period of 3 nights to get a more personal memory and give the guests the right to decide what they want. Thus stopping those who dont take any notice getting more then those who do? Is this making sense

Too Tall yeah a room with hardly any chairs would be fine or could be incorporated into a restuarant/chillax/lounge area for us. Thanks Jane Doe. Not grouping anyone as that would be discrimination but for our comfort, also the queues to check out or pay car park where huge with a group booking checking in on Sunday, this again would make more sense and less of a H&S issue.

Sorry you misinterpret what I am saying, you shouldnt be made to not go in those areas but if there was a certain part of the hotel made available to us then we wouldnt be sat on floors in corridors or in the bar area all the time, especially on the Sunday. I very rarely posy on this forum now but I have a right to give feedback to and offer suggestions so thats what I have done

ARGH spent half an hour writing and I lost it. Ok will try and rememeber what I said. Amazing guests, I bought Gold cause of my lust for Daniel and would do it again without hesitation if he was announced again. Love how grounded and relaxed all the guests where though Michael is up there with JCB for sheer entertainment value. Bill was obviously loving his first con and I am pleased we got the chance to see him as he is, no matter how graounded they are I did see a small change in Dan from the first time we met. I love the amount of attendees, I think it was just the right amount for the guests and for us. I wont be at ET6 for personal reasons and though I would love to meet Kellan I just get the feeling the atmosphere wont be the same as there will be too many attendees. Though if you want to change the dates of the October cons permanently I would probably go. Cant miss my sons birthday for my obsession. Right where in my opinion things could be improved: The gold drinks reception was a big let down for me, the guests where rushed through certain attendees had their attention for the whole 2 minutes they where at the table, mostly as they where next to them or where more extrovert than others. Some of the guests never even came to our table and others got to see them at theirs twice. Wasnt enough spaces round them either. Maybe it could be split into two groups either concurrent or consectutively to each other. I know I would wait that little bit longer to have a little more time with them. The guest talks, well some of the gold and silver priority seating you couldnt even see the stage!! I appreciate you need so many chairs but when you pay the extra money to guarantee a good view and all you can see is the screen or the back of the stage then I feel this is another let down for the priority seating. Its also embarrassing when the fanfiction questions, personal experiences and the you did this and that at other events comes into it. Remember as the guests they are employed to be there and will become monotonous to anyone to have the same things over and over again. I am not sure about this but I think we may have had a shortage of questions, some attendees are too shy to get up and speak on a mic and I did notice this time that the questions for guests table had attendees sat on it waiting for photo shoots. Maybe it would be better to add a question slip onto the schedule and/or have a questions for the guests address on each event page for us to add to it when we think of one? The slip could then be placed in a letter box at registration desk. Also feel the guest encounter bidding sheet should be at the registration desk or manned as its be known for other attendees to cross higher bids out than there own, unfair to those who have bidded and cant come back every five minutes to check theirs is still there. I love the Hilton and I respect as we all do the no con guests that are there BUT I did hear a few of them not too impressed with us all. Maybe we could have a 'chillax' room with a bar, could be incorporated into the restuarant where we can go to stop us milling round, Sunday is always the worst as if you are going you have to check out before midday and you hang around the corridors waiting for things to begin. Also for those of us who arent staying at the hotel they are very limited to where they can go. Love the idea of the video montage being shown so maybe that could happen in this room? Shame that some attendees get the opportunity to get their own photos witht he guests when others either get told no by the crew or are following the con rules. Appreciate this is at the discretion of the guests but I think there is room for improvement on this too. Going through a few ideas in my head at the moment so when I get one I think might work I will of course share it. Also think maybe the Hilton could give us our own lobby area and possibly group is up to one side of the hotel to stop us disturbing the guests who think we shouldnt be there. Lastly (I think ;0/) could it be possible to move the Sunday party time. I have heard these are always the best but for those of us with commitments sometimes means we have to miss out. I know a 8.30 start hinders me from staying as I have checked out have nowhere to go for 2 plus hours am exhausted and still have a 2 hour journey home to make. Would mean more people would get more out of their tickets. Obviously just my opinion but there you go.

I would love him to be at et5, Daniel and Charlie were great at prom so be good to see them both together again. Just have to keep everything crossed that he comes. Your friends will have an amazing time regardless as we will, but that would make my weekend

I can understand people saying they want someone new but if we are having 6 or more guests then cant see the harm in him being there. The non charlie fans will have someone they like out of all the other guests and he is entertaining as well as easy on the eye

haha I know but he sort of part of the furniture now. If he isnt coming we will have to have some sort of shrine room to him for the die hard charlie fans... PS thinks hes lovely but I'm Team Daniel so I'm a happy con goer

Havent posted on here for a long time, I heard cos Charlie attended ET4 unexpectedly he wont be at ET5, is that true? Surely you cant have a twi con and Charlie not be there? However estatic Daniels coming, think we should have JCB and Charlie too that would be an hilarious guest talk

Thanks David, I hope the guests already confirmed are able to attend. Would be such a shame to see any of them cancel as it is an amazing line up. Hopefully they will be able to work round their filming if there is truth the rumour ofc

ERM, I have just been on Pattinson Ladies on FB and they are saying BD is going to be filmed back to back starting mid October. IF and I say IF there is any truth in this will it effect the guests already confirmed?
