Harriettaa
So heres a thought. Is anyone planning on driving to the Hub? Carpooling would save cash on fuel, think about it, it can be a long drive (depending where your coming from) if you filled your car and everyone chipped in for fuel it would cost much less. I started this because i havent decided how im getting there yet, i may drive my aunt's car (which i call mine because i use it more than her and i like it too much to give her it back) from london to the hotel but im not sure because its a pretty big SUV and the fuel consumption is mental. If anyone is driving from london or the south east id be up for sharing and splitting fuel costs as i dont want to spend the ridiclous amount of cash fueling my car for that journey would cost for just me. And anyone else can feel free to use this thread to arrange their own carpools. :)
Cait_85
I'm going to be driving up from Oxford. Going on my own at the moment so plenty of room in the car if anyone in the area wants a lift!
sazzra
Don't forget the £7-8 per day charge for parking at the Hilton too - that'll add to your costs

Chelle2009
We are getting the train down. If Hub 4 happens next year, I *might* have a car by then as I'm learning to drive - only had 8 lessons so far. I'm learning SO slowly. xxx Edited September 10, 2009 by Chelle2009

Twisted Bunny
Car pooling is a great idea another one for those travelling by public transport why not see if there's a local cab company with a mini bus that could collect people arrange a time and place to meet up and get picked up from and arrrange for them to collect you from the hotel on the way home probably something for the future though. So heres a thought. Is anyone planning on driving to the Hub? Carpooling would save cash on fuel, think about it, it can be a long drive (depending where your coming from) if you filled your car and everyone chipped in for fuel it would cost much less. angelkitty
I believe there is a free bus to the Hilton from Birmingham International, and I believe that the 900 (the bus from Brum to Cov), stops very close by. I could be wrong about that tho, it's been a long time since I used the 900.
Never
might be wrong but isn't the Hilton connected to the train station? If you come out of the station off the trains/planes and go through the gates and there's a waiting area with chairs and tables and s a set of stairs leading to the exit? If you face the gates then go right then there's that looooooooooooong passageway which then leads into that room with orange walls and white floors then there's about 6 sets of stairs next to each other and then you're basically in the Hilton aren't you? what I remember from BW anyway? was a year and a half go. What time were you aiming at leaving here/getting there, if you don't mind me asking? Not quite sure when I'm leaving Liverpool on the Friday as it depends what time I've got to be in Nottingham, which hasn't been confirmed yet. I've also got a trip up to Cumbria and back to Liverpool on Thurs/Fri too (got to drop my dog off at my mum and dad's place). I suspect I'll be leaving Liverpool sometime between 11-1 but I'll let you know when I do!

deadlyglamour
For Londoners: Silverlink Trains from Euston to Birmingham International are a lot cheaper than anything Virgin can come up with, and just as fast. £ 12 starting price for return. Really.
