If you have the email confirmation and your ID with you it should be fine, but it's worth dropping Jola an email (info@collectormania.com) just so she's aware that you haven't received the letter.

I'll be driving in from Cambridge/Huntingdon way and will have room for one or two people (depending on how much luggage everyone has!) if anyone fancies a lift.

You also have to remember that it's not always work they cancel for, and it's not always before the event - my very first con was a Buffy one (many moons ago!) that Alexis Denisof was supposed to attend for the whole weekend but he ended up having to fly home a day early for personal reasons, and that only came up halfway through the second day.

Word from Tom is that if he's invited back for Hub 3 he'll make sure he can hang out at the parties this time

Nice idea, but highly unlikely to happen as they'd need to obtain a licence to show the episodes which I suspect would be prohibitively expensive.

Me too! Tom asked if we were going and I actually checked out the cost of flights when I got back and was seriously tempted to go until I remembered that I'd need a hotel room too

Saw Tom last night and he'd "absolutely love" to do Hub 3 if he's invited. And he still has all of us from Hub 2 as his voicemail message

Very saddened to hear of Andy's passing. I shall always remember meeting him at a con and have him crack me up during the photo shoot by yelling "look at me, I'm a media whore!" a truly fabulous and big-hearted person. RIP

Can't remember if there was a gap but the A3 signs for gold passes were very much in evidence and the crew were very good about checking passes from what I could see, so if people lost their seats it would have been to another gold pass holder and they still would have been able to sit in the reserved gold section albeit that it might not have been in such a great seat. As for bathroom breaks taking more than 5 mins because of the queues, maybe I just managed to time it right at this event but I certainly didn't see massive queues like we experienced at Hub 1 and think the only time I took more than 5 mins in the bathroom was when I retouched my makeup. And the seat saving situation was exactly the same at Hub 1 as it was at Hub 2 - it was only allowed for bathroom breaks/intimate encounters. I think that's pretty standard at any event, not just showmasters ones

The same would apply to Photos. Not to get into a semantic argument, but while everything you've said is right the apostrophe in photo's is there because you're actually abbreviating the word photographs not because it's a plural. In this case the apostrophe shows that there's missing letters - the same use as when you abbreviate "you are" to "you're" if you see what I mean

Eve's face when she read Sara Lloyd-Gregory's comment on the picture I wanted her to sign, and then talking about what a great kisser she was Gareth drinking rum out of my hipflask on Friday night and then complaining that we'd put "sex juice" in it. Sack Clarkson - Kai to do Top Gear! Tom saying that he'd take over from Captain Jack as long as there was no danger & no aliens - just filing, and then saying he and Ianto would have to have a file-off.

I can't guarantee it obviously, but having booked work conventions previously *usually* what happens is the hotel will agree a certain amount of discount off their normal rates and that can be used regardless of the type of room booked. I have come across the occasional hotel that will only discount a certain type of room but think it's very unlikely for SM to go for something like this as obviously this type of event will have people wanting various room types.

Not sure what's happening with the photo's this time, but I do recall it being mentioned that Giles wouldn't be putting them up on his site like he has in the past... perhaps SM are going to organise their own site or something.

Most of mine have been mentioned by other people but... Matt accusing me of not wearing any knickers on Saturday night and then ending up wearing my blue frilly spankies (apparently that's the propper name for knickers you wear over tights *shrug*) over his jeans. Appologising to Burn for Christmas Eve during my photoshoot and getting hugged so hard I actually have bruises! Ending up being hugged by Gareth for about 5 minutes because Malcolm had to take 4 photos before he was happy with it Tom laughing at me because I had to stand on tip-toes during our photo and I'm *still* tons shorter than him. My roomie Kris being asked what her favorite bit of the Hub was and mentioning the drawing Kai did on her photo (can't say more as it's rude!) The discussion about Eve being the guest you'd most like to take down the pub for a karaoke night. Burn and Gareth's talk, especially when Gareth mentioned "that play"
