Since they're doing a rocker thing this year I'd suggest Gerard Way. He's also done comics himself that had a show made from them (Umbrella Academy).

Well it's my birthday on Saturday and my city is throwing a party to celebrate! I keep telling myself that but really it's our Pride parade so I'll be attending that. Out for a meal on Sunday. Weird to think LFCC isn't happening again for another year.

Undecided about DST it depends on funds over the next few months. Would love to meet George Takei so it's a real possibility. At least I have another convention in a few weeks (not showmasters) to get rid of the con blues.

And I'm back at work wishing I was still in London. Sad times.

I saw @wjbleming and his brother at least 6 times. Funny despite living not that far from each other I never run into him here. He has ran into my sister randomly before though! You guys were just everywhere this weekend @Ravogd I saw you 3 times I think? So you were the other one I saw the most!

I didn't get a fan, I demand a refund

Eccleston was moved because there was a leak in the ceiling at Lana Parrilla's desk. I was in the queue at Lana's waiting for her to come back from lunch and everyone was getting rained. They came over and told us they were moving Chris to a booth so Lana could be up against the wall and away from the leak.

I'm up for a photo of all of us next year!

I think we read the same things and there were some horribly inappropriate sexist behaviour towards Jenna. No girl should have to put up with that and if I was her I would have been tempted to give up and go home. She stayed I give her props for doing so. I need to get my photos on here I have a few on my phone but I'll get the rest up later.

I think I may have cut through a few lines but I always said excuse me and thanks when I did. Sorry if I offended anyone!

I do get PIP but I'm lucky it is disgustingly impossible to get. DLA was already difficult and then they changed the requirements for PIP to make it be that you had to be even more disabled to qualify. I was terrified when it came to switching because I would lose my car but I got lucky. My mother got turned down from PIP when she was dying of cancer. The assessor turned up to our house and left after 10 minutes. She scored zero and died less than 6 months later. People (and certain newspapers who I won't name) who go on about people cheating the system are really unaware of how restrictive the system is.

I thought the gifts this year were great! Some were better quality than others but they were well thought out. I really liked the hip flasks for Tom Felton and Tom Ellis, the Bartlet for President 2020 notebook for Martin Sheen and the headphones for Zachary Quinto.

I usually hand my crutch off to the crew member standing at the side. They got to know me by the end of the weekend so they were reaching for it . But yeah it's only a few steps and a lot of the time the guest is happy to help me back to the crutch even though I don't really have a problem then since the shoot is only a few seconds. I'm sure it does raise a few eyebrows from the queue but no one has ever actually mentioned anything. I just don't want my ugly crutch in the photo with me.

I tried to find you when we were all hanging out around areas A-D but I couldn't spot you. Maybe next year!

There is definitely a lack of awareness about what constitutes a disability. People think if they can't see your disability then you must not be disabled. I had mobility problems for years that I could have been receiving benefits like a blue badge for but because they weren't visible I never did. It was only when I got stuck using my crutch I finally caved. Even now when I park in a disabled spot and get out of the car I see the looks from some people until I get my crutch from the back seat. It's ridiculous. People who have received the extra help wristband have already had to provide proof which isn't easy to get if you don't legitimately have a problem. Showmasters is strict about it, as they should be to prevent people from abusing the system, and won't just hand over a band to someone who rocks up with a crutch or a wheelchair to get a head start on the queues.
-
This was usually my experience that once I showed my wristband I was put usually at the door of the booth without many issues.
-
Thanks to all the crew who helped expedite my queuing once I showed them my extra help wristband! I had no problems with this when it came to photos and autos and at Martin Sheen's oval office I was rushed straight to the desk while one of the crew held my bags on the side which was great! The red shirt running Robert Carlyle's queue was great and let me steal his seat when Robert was late back from lunch, he said only for a few minutes and then nothing after to ask me to move which I really appreciate. By the time Robert showed up I only had 5 minutes to get to two photo shoots that were both short and ended at the same time. He put me right behind the first person and I made it to both shoots on time. Thank you!

Guest Experiences From The Weekend

Yeah I saw people getting turned away with low VQ's when we came for our autographs around 5 because he had to give to his talk with Charlie they couldn't let VQ's join because there was still diamonds to come. If he ever comes back make sure you meet him! You won't regret it. -
LFCC 2019 - An appreciation.

Oh yeah about the stalls! There was a guy running a stall that I didn't get the name of but he was so nice to me! I bought a Legolas figuring for my friend after he helped me find it. Afterwards I found a seat nearby and he came running up to me saying he had found a sword and an arrow that went along with it and I could have them for free. He came back a few minutes later and gave me a jaffa cake. I never got his name but thank you! -
Guest Experiences From The Weekend

A few highlights for me: Martin Sheen: I've already done several posts about him but I was so excited when he was announced. The West Wing is, in my opinion, the best TV show of all time so I jumped straight on that diamond pass hoping he wouldn't be a disappointment. He greeted everyone in the shoot and asked their names and then when we went for the autograph later on he remembered me. Thanked us for watching the West Wing and spoke for a few moments about the show. His manager(?) Who was sitting next to him was also so nice and had a chat with us while we waited for our turn. Then today I had the Oval Office shoot which clashed with my Gareth David-Lloyd and John Barrowman photo on the other side of the building. I was exhausted by the time I made it over. I got put straight to the front of the queue by whoever was in charge and Martin insisted I sit in the chair and said he was going to fuss over me for a few moments. Once the photo was done he wouldn't let me move until he made sure I was alright. Absolute gentleman. John Barrowman was great we had a lovely chat at his autograph area and his talk was completely hilarious! Hope there was no kids in the area because there were several inappropriate moments but I loved it. Especially his sparkly suit and heels. Tom Felton was sweet and I had to laugh when I accidentally held up the queue by asking what it was like seeing Jason Isaacs again and he ran off to give him a hug. Sorry to anyone who was in the queue behind us! Jason Isaacs loved my tattoo (Deathly Hallows) and told us how everyone wants to show him their dark mark tattoos. We had a laugh about that and I told him I was a Slytherin but I wouldn't get that tattoo, he laughed and said he was too. He also remembered me at the photo shoot after! Christopher Eccleston was happy to sign an autograph for my friend for her and her boyfriends anniversary. Signed it to their names and wrote happy anniversary and then told me to tell them it from him! Love that he seems to enjoy doing conventions now. Tom Ellis was so pleasant to talk to and recognised our accents as being from Belfast because he had shot a movie there. When we asked the name of it so we could look it up he gave us the name and then told us not to because it's terrible (still going to check it out though). I have more but I'm so tired and blanking on them all right now! Overall a really good weekend, managed to get a lot of autographs and had fun. Great guests Showmasters I can't wait to see what you do next year! -
I'm glad to hear it! I'm not too bothered about personalisation like other people are. It's nice but I don't expect it from guests especially not the bigger ones. John was so nice when we spoke to him that I don't mind at all.
