  1. Annnd I was in the wrong thread posting these. Thats what you get for leaving the photos thread to quickly check the signed stuff thread and forget to go back before you post.
  2. SUNDAY: I got two because in the first one he was reading my t-shirt and the photographer took it again because he wasn't looking. I actually prefer the first one. So glad the guy at the printer just handed them to me and didn't insist one was torn up which they normally do. The Ethan Philips shoot that turned into a mini forum meetup outside beforehand.
  3. Saturday: Feel kind of sad now looking at this after what she went through. Feel bad that I put my arm around her. I hope I didn't add to her discomfort. What can you say about this guy. It's all been said elsewhere. The entire reason I changed my mind and decided to come this year for reasons documented elsewhere. Legend doesn't even begin to cover it.
  4. Friday Ops: Grinning like a Cheshire Cat. The reason being Leslie had just whispered something rude involving my kilt that I can't repeat on a family forum Looking rather disappointed that Robert hasn't said anything rude to me 5 year old me doing cartwheels at this one which is why I haven't fixed my damn scruffy hair. Ruined my pic. I'm taking a personal stylist next year
  5. You can’t upload them directly to the forum. You need to have them on a hosting site (Facebook also works) I use Flickr then you can use the insert other media tab at the bottom right to copy the url link to the pic into your post.
  6. I’m not seeing the pictures. Not sure if it’s just me or if you’ve done something wrong trying to upload them. Do you need any help?
  7. More north of the border types. Excellent. We will take this forum over eventually. Welcome.
  8. The photo shoots are different. You only have one opportunity to join that queue and therefore when you do you should be allowed into your entitled place in it.
  9. Maybe I wasn’t clear, I wasn’t meaning the sale of the DP’s wording, that is very clear. My point was in the information on the way a DP operates the wording is all about giving you priority to join queues, not priority to move up them. The general point still stands that it would be very difficult to do and organise in a place where there are multiple queues with not a lot of room and the blue shirts are already stretched with their existing duties. To be fair unless you get a really slow signer, once you actually get in the queue it does not usually take very long at all to get to the guest so being bumped up isn’t going to make that much of a difference anyway.
  10. Yeah that rings a bell. They usually have a stall at GFCC and I’m going to that. I can verify if it is them for you but it’ll take a couple of weeks.
  11. The DP is worded as a priority to join a queue not priority to get your signature. As you probably saw for yourself the queueing can get pretty hectic and chaotic so trying to slot people into the correct place would be problematic. Also not everyone is as understanding as you seem to be. People would moan. You would then get people wanting to get priority as they had diamond batch 1 and he has batch 3, then “I deserve to get ahead of him because he was VQ 33 and mine is 17 etc.
  12. Brilliant stories.so glad everyone had a great experience with him. I too have met him quite a few times and have had the good and the speed signing experiences but when you get him on form like this he is amazing.
  13. Ah right it was Green screen. Mine was the entire bridge set which explains why the camera can get closer in yours. In mine they had the control console the captains chair sits behind in front so it was harder to get nearer. It did make for my favourite ever group shoot later though which was me in the Captains chair and Walter Koenig and George Takei sat at their respective positions on the bridge.
  14. Same here. I got one a few years ago at DST but it was taken from much further away and Bill & I are quite small in the photo. This one looks much better.
  15. I wasn't at this so I can't comment specifically but in terms of feedback to help Showmasters I'll say this. I feared this queueing/lack of organisation would happen (see my post above pre-con) and was sadly proven correct after similar experiences at 2 other Showmasters events for post con shows. I wasnt the only one either. RomenoSavini expressed similar fears. I know it is hard but if these events are to continue then basic information on where to queue and queue management simply has to improve. It seems that lessons are not being learned from previous shows which all had plenty of rational, accurate feedback. It is a real shame as most of the organisation at the con itself is first class
  16. They were probably moving stuff around and don't want people all over the area getting in the way. Health & safety etc.
  17. There was somebody you didn't meet? I think out of all of us you met the most people (only person that got me on Friday). Everyone met you multiple times if you couldn't find @maegurwen then nobody was going to.
  18. I will always give praise to crew member Sarah Jane (Val Kilmer Saturday, Nicole De Boer Sunday) not just because she is a friend of my partner but because she is damned good at what she does!!
  19. Given how quickly I was able to break my fan I would estimate that if the same effort was put into the making of the mints they are probably poisonous
  20. To be fair the extra help doesn't get you right to the front, the policy (according to the FAQ) is that for people with extra help they will attempt to ensure that you don't queue for more than 10 minutes. That is why they slot you in at a seemingly random point in the line. It's not designed to give priority to the disabled rather attempt to alleviate the queueing that can be horrendous for disabled attendees. I'm sorry that your experience was that you didn't get much extra help with your band but I have to say that my partner was looked after very well as were quite a few other extra help attendees who have praised Showmasters for the weekend. We were always placed right at the entrance for photo ops (admittedly after a horrendous journey of "EXCUSE ME") through people waiting for their shoot. In future if a blue shirt is not giving you the expected extra help asistance you should.ask them to call for a red shirt who should (hopefully) correct them to the proper Showmasters policy and give you the treatment you are entitled to.
  21. Ricci didn't have a booth. She was on the back wall with the other "biggies" almost right in the middle
  22. I got both bags but no mints. Where are my mints?? It's some sort of conspiracy!! Why do you hate me Showmasters, WHY??
  23. Please do. It'd be lovely to meet you. I might have recognised you but normally in photo queues I'm too busy trying not to hit the person in front's heels with my partner's wheel chair to look around me.
  24. Ah sorry Faerie I didn’t realise Eccleston started in “full view” as it were. I’m surprised he was. I would have thought booth from the start. He obviously wasn’t comfortable and they switched him.
