Anyway, can I make a suggestion for next time. Can we have live music? Someone like Bobby Long or Marcus who are both friends of Rob and both wrote songs for the soundtrack. They are extremely popular now amongst fans in the UK and pretty much world wide. In fact a couple of friends went to Bobby's gig in London on Friday night before coming to the con!
:D Loving this idea - they are both fab.

Oh yes I second Bobby Long! I have friends down in London who have gone to a few of his gigs now and have said he's fantastic.
Oh my God, I had the brainwave last night of getting Bobby, Marcus and Sam down for a gig! A nice, little chilled out gig on the Sunday would be amazing.

I'm off to Marcus' gig on the 6th and Bobby's on the 13th, so might suggest it to their managers if I can find them :D (if anyone here is going, let me know).

Bobby apparently never refuses a gig, so all we need to do is ask LOL

Look to the western sky
As someone told me lately
Everyone deserves the chance to fly
And if I'm flying solo
At least I'm flying free
To those who'd ground me
Take a message back from me
Tell them how I am Defying gravity
I'm flying high Defying gravity
And soon I'll match them in renown
And nobody in all of Oz
No Wizard that there is or was
Is ever gonna bring me down!

I'm interested in who would have to monitor such a thing, and who would be brave enough to get in between persistent women and a guest :(
Maybe issue the guests with panic buttons? ;) Or perhaps a flare gun?
Now I'm picturing the crew talking into their sleeves like the secret service.

I know this isn't really feedback, but I was just curious about who came up with the name New Moon Rising for the second event, and I didn't want to make a separate thread for it cos it didn't seem worth it...

I really enjoyed the convention but I have a few ideas for improvements.

1st, I think there should be a roped off area for the VIP's at the parties. If they had a VIP area, the guests could come and go as they please, allowing them to still have fun and be at the parties without being crowded by overexcited girls.

2nd, I noticed a few underage girls drinking. Perhaps anyone under 18 could wear a wristband or get their hand stamped so bar staff and crew can monitor them. Or everyone over 18 get a wristband/mark so bar staff can be reassured.

3rd, To make things more fairer for the spot allocation for the Guest Encounters, maybe they should be completely raffled off so everyone who enters have a fair chance, especially those who are not as well off and can't afford to bid hundreds on one. Also, some people were having their bids sratched off without knowledge.

4th, I found there were a lack of seating during the parties. If your group were not the first of the people in, it was hard to find a group of seats together.

Lastly, more activities are needed between photoshoots, autographs and talks.

Overall, I thought everything was well planned and I look forward to ET2  ;)

she got a little bit shocked at that because she felt the person almost forced the drink upon her, she had to politely refuse the drink and walk away.

I'm not really surprised she doesn't drink since she can't until she's 21 in the US anyway.

I didn't go to this one sadly but have got tickets to ET2, although after reading this thread although I'm sure it will be great, I am slightly apprehensive about the screaming etc and also the over crowding of the guests.  At the end of the day they are human and even though it is an event where people are going to want to meet them, they are also there to have fun and they will sometimes just want to talk amongst each other. I'm pretty sure those who were doing it wouldn't like it if people did it to them  :D I know in October I will be excited, but I truly don't see myself screaming 24/7 or running up to them and following them around all day. Yes I do want to be able to speak to them briefly at least, but I certainly wouldn't feel right doing it in the manner many people seem to have done it in knowing that I personally would not like this and they also are there to enjoy themselves. I will certainly be sure to keep my friends under control.

Also by the sounds of it having some sort of quiz would be a great idea.

And for those who said about age restrictions after certain times etc, I am fifteen and would feel robbed if this happened, and it would be very stereotyped ( i think that's the word.) And even though I have never gone to an event like this, but I do know from experience that older people can be just as bad and sometimes worse. Personally I think if there are people overcrowding the guests and screaming at them etc (especially at night during the parties) then you should ask them to stop this, if they ignore you ask them to leave. You only need to do this to a few people and people will stop, might seem harsh but in my opinion it's only fair.  Also an advanced warning of when the geusts are arriving would be a good idea.

What Worked Well?
I would say that the photo shoots and the autographs were really well organized, and that the queuing system was fairly efficient and well crewed. I also think that the ME staff were very friendly, and I wasn't intimidated to ask them questions. I liked the themes for the parties, and thought the decorations were fab, and had a lot of fun with my friends.
What could Be Improved?
I think that the way the raffle and guest encounters were run was poor, as it was never made clear how you would find out you had won, and I think that the way some people were putting £300 as a last minute bid because they knew they wouldn't have to pay it was unfair, although I understand that this is just the way the auction works. Sometimes I found that the Guests would be told what to do around the fans, and whilst I understand completely that some things are controlled for the guests safety, I feel that they could have been given a bit more freedom then they were. Also, I thought that meetings for fan groups could have been more organized, for example an meeting room for fans.Oh, this will be my last point, I thought that the parties could have had some more organized activities, such as games on the tables around the dance floor perhaps, as it was a bit unstructured, and could have been more entertaining.
What would You Like For The Next Convention?
I would just like to see some more organized activities to allow other fans to meet each other, without feeling intimidated about going up to a group of strangers - oh and Jackson of course!

Ah, so it WAS intentional. We had a thread about that where we wondered if it was deliberate or just a cool coincidence.

i found the weekend was awesome, but there really needed to be things to fill in the gaps while waiting more

i love the idea of a spoof twilight competition before the convention and having them play on a tv screen, it would be hilarious and get around copyrighting!
