With sigourney it’s gonna go double time she’s one of the most iconic actors of the past 50 years thanks to Alien and can you imagine only being remembered for the one role and then you may have a packed showing of your latest play, but everyone outside couldn’t care less but are Alien fans looking to get merch signed, and really she could charge a damn premium on that one given it’s only her Tom Skerritt and Veronica Cartwright left, really if I was Cartwright I’d be crapping it given that if you’re going by directors cut they’ve all died in that order, so if she does happen to die before Skerritt and Weaver outlives them both, I’d honestly be scared to hell and back.

but back to my point it will get annoying after a while because the theatre is still considered a prestige to work for where there are few productions and given they’re always live performances you have to have the old class of acting that TV used to have before services like Sky came in

Same with the cast of Father Ted, Dermot Morgan, the actor who played Father Ted died on 28th Feb 1998, Frank Kelly, Father Jack, died 28th Feb 2016. So if I was Ardlen O'Hanlon I'd be keeping a low profile on 28th Feb 2034

John Simm blows hot and cold with Doctor Who, I'm guessing he's been flooded with people wanting him to sign Doctor Who images at the stage door, as I've read somewhere else, he only stopped to sign for someone as it was a Life on Mars image.

The way round that would be to say, you are only signing show programs like a lot of other actors do

john also signed some chrismas  cards for people which i thinks kind of nice and I feel now people now what he will and wont sign he's gonna get flooded at his next theatre show

With Dean Hollingsworth being announced elsewhere, I'm only Mike Tucker away from replicating my greatest Show cover, just without personalisations. With Stephen Wyatt and Janet Hargeaves as added extras. So a nice start to the new year already

I saw and if I have the money I’m sending in my “Androids of Tara” as that’s one of my favourites but that’s only if the money is absolutely right

For her to justify that then she needs to do more UK conventions

Id love to get Jodie again or even Tosin as he seems to have gone quiet after his one appearance in 2020 and I could do with a photo with him, it’s kinda sad he seems to have just vanished off the face of the earth

Ah Jaysas ted, that is one hell of an erie coincidence if I do say so myself but we as Doctor who fans need Hanlon as Ted would put him “you let Dougal be a cat person” as he was in “Gridlock” with David Tennant

If he did an event appearance it could circumvent people trying to pester for unrelated works at theatre doors, but then again he could have a busy schedule that prevents this, Showmasters had him booked for Collectormania in 2023 so the sad fact we haven’t seen any rebook is unfortunate especially as everyone else has since been rebooked well aside from one small time extra

oddly enough he's one of if not the only one not to have been rebooked so he must be busy but i hope it happens this year as he was quite big I had a few tings i wanted him to sign and yeah it would mean he could do theatre without as much Hassel

Once again it falls on a weekend I'm working, so I'll be sending my Greatest Show in. And maybe another for Eric Saward

They need to get all four current era masters at one show, and Geoffrey Beevers, I cant say I've seen more than one in one convention before now. Now that would be a photoshoot and a half

Ignoring Covid, I would have expected him to have done more events over the last few years, I know he didn't look like he enjoyed being there, but that could be down to an oncoming pandemic that had everyone on edge. Or he genuinely didn't enjoy it and has shied away from events

I have nothing bad to say, he was friendly and engaging, so who knows

There's another combination set if any convention was that way inclined, the detectives of Death in Paradise, all whom apart from Kris Marchall have done Doctor Who. all three would be more than welcome Ben Miller, Ralf Little, & Don Gilet, and cover multiple Doctors

I would send in some other stuff if I had the money, but my problem is both items are going to be with me which rules out another guest as well

Beavers would be great to get again as I have him on enough items to where I can’t complain about it, but at the same time could do with him on some big finish stuff beyond “light at the end”.

as for modern masters I’ve only got Sir Derek Jacobi and Sacha Dawhen so getting Gomez and Simms would be a steal for me.

If anything it could just be unfortunate that he doesn’t want to do them again, and even then fan reaction to his time on the show hasn’t been the most positive so that could be adding to it

Simms is high up on my list as i do have Derek Jacobi on my Series 3 which currently puts him at the biggest name on said set, and i don't like to classify guests as big or small but compared to who else is on the set i'd have to say of those involved in the show, yeah he is the biggest on there albeit thats my least signed Tennant series with only 6 names whilst series 2 has 8 and series 4 has 12 (Will be 13 in March assuming everything goes to plan) so Simms would be a fantastic land for the set, well him and the 3 regulars, well 4 if you count Catherine Tate's appearance on that set

well we can only hope especially given that i don't think there would be any series 12's or "Revolution of the Daleks" sets out there with his name on it, and believe me i could do with some more people on my later era Jodie stuff, my series 11 needs Bradley Walsh like Golum needs the ring, series 12 has a few decent names like Mandip, Sacha and Jo Martin so i need not worry too much there, but "Revolution of the Daleks " only has dame Harriet Walter, whilst Series 13 does have 4 names, beyond two regulars from that series its looking a little dim all things considered, and then i only have 1 on my "Eve of the Daleks"/"Legend of the Sea Devils" set, and absolutely nothing on "The Power of the Doctor" which is my only new series item without a name on it.

in short get more Jodie Whitaker era guests, and to that matter Peter Capaldi i have practically no one from that era.

I'd get the last few steelbooks signed should he re-appear, as there would be no guarantee of future appearances based on how frequently he appears

Big is always subjective anyway, a big guest for one person is anothers 'who are they'

A fairer comparison would be rare signer and common signer

I need John Simms to re-sign my season 3 as bizarrely i forgot to take the steelbook out of the sleeve, and he signed the card

firstly in the two announcements we have Phil Baxter who recently joined the who legend as Sir Edmund Hillary (before he was a sir, also would have laughed myself if it was George Mallory he was playing) in the recent Christmas special "Joy to the world".

PhilBaxterWeb.png

Baxter is attending on the Sunday only and is £15 for his autograph or photo.

now here is the problem to which we face, whilst "Joy to the world" will be available come the 27th of this month, it will be included later in the series 15 boxset when that inevitably comes out, so we could all get 10X8 prints but we're again faced the same issue we had last july with Josie Sedwick-Davis, the question being will they be a one and done, so at this time i'm undecided as to my course of action at this time.

Joining the series with a set of spoons, infinite rice pudding and a abysmal blonde wig, Sylvester McCoy debuted as the 7th Doctor in 1987 after Colin Baker had an unfortunate public addiction to Carrot Juice, McCoy would play the role until the series end in 1989 before returning and passing the torch (Thanks to the american Health care system) in the 1996 TV movie, then in 2022 McCoy returned in "The Power of the Doctor" alongside many of his predecessors and successors in the role, as himself he kept forcing down everyone's throat he was in "The Hobbit" with his appearance in "The Five-ish Doctors", he's also contributed to "Doctor who Confidential" across its first and fourth series

for McCoy you'll need (TV content only):

  • "The Time and the Rani"
  • "Paradise Towers"
  • "Delta and the Bannerman"
  • "Dragonfire"
  • "Remembrance of the Daleks" (Original and Special Edition)
  • "The Happiness Patrol"

LFCC Spring 2025

Okay so here on are the guests for the Spring event in 2025 and i'll do my best to keep it as thorough as i can.

Colin Baker made his first appearance in Doctor who as Commander Maxil in "Arc of Infinity" where to take to the role of the Doctor from Peter Davison he preceded to shoot the incumbent, in a ploy that proceeded to work he later took up the role of the sixth doctor in the final few minutes of the critically acclaimed "The Caves of Androzani" before beginning his tenure proper in the critically lauded "The Twin Dilemma", he proceeded to play the role of the Doctor over the next two years before he was unceremoniously fired at the conclusion of "The Trial of a Timelord", however he continued to be of connection to Doctor who appearing in "More than 30 years in the Tardis" and "Dimensions in Time" for the 30th anniversary of the series in 1993, as himself he presented "Cybermen: The Early Years" and "The Colin Baker Years" on VHS, in 1992 he provided the linking narration for the Audio release of "The Macra Terror" which was then re-released onto CD in the early 2000's and then included in the DVD/Blu Ray release of the same story in 2018, before he famously returned in the role in 2022's "The Power of the Doctor".

his involvement also includes appearances on numerous documentaries such as "Bred for War" on "The Sontaron experiment" where he famously made comments about a Radio DJ, and "Celebrations" for "The Five doctors" (25th Anniversary Edition), along with being a frequent contributor to Big Finish since 1999.

for Colin here are some of more modern easily accessible items that can be signed:

  • "The Macra Terror" (Original CD or DVD/Blu Ray)
  • "The Sontaron Experiment"
  • "Arc of Infinity"
  • "The Five Doctors" (25th Anniversary Edition)
  • "The Caves of Androzani" (Both original and Special Edition)
  • "The Twin Dilemma"
  • "Attack of the Cybermen"
  • "Vengeance on Varos" (Both original and Special Edition)
  • "The Mark of the Rani"
  • "The Two Doctors"
  • "Timelash"
  • "Revelation of the Daleks"
  • "The Trial of a Timelord"
  • "The Power of the Doctor"
  • The Davros Collection
  • The Collection Season 12
  • The Collection Season 20
  • The Collection Season 22
  • The Collection Season 23

ColinBakerWeb.png

Colin is attending both Days of the weekend and is £25 for his Autograph or his Photo.

Just to Update this as well for those who are interested, as i have discovered Colin Baker has also been interviewed for "Doctor who confidential" for both Series 1 & 4
