farmer
Dave Scott Gemini 8, Apollo 9,15 7th Moonwalker Charlie Duke Apollo 16 10th Moonwalker I'd put my name down for Scott too. As for Duke, he was at a show not long ago. I'd tend to argue that we should go for the earlier / harder ones for more money, than recent repeats (which could have been obtained form the send in service). 90degnorth2010
Have to agree Dave Scott Apollo 15 would be a great guest to have. Harrison Schmitt or John Young if they could be convinced to come ( worth a try you never know until you ask ) For me maybe cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova or Alexei Leonov who have both been guests to the show before but ones I missed . Bumper8
Dave Scott would be great, as would Jim Lovell. I also agree with the previous post regarding Cosmonauts.

Bumper8
Some of you guys must've met Cosmonauts at previous events- did they do talks and were they still guarded about aspects of the Soviet space programme despite the amount of time that has passed? Michael Green
Like some others here, I would prefer 'new' astronauts rather than those who have been before. I used to to attend every Autographica but now only go when there is enough to draw me in. Generally, I am only interested in the space related signers, in particular Apollo 7 to 17. OK, these are the ones I would like to see at a future Autographica: John Young - Apollo 16 Harrison Schmitt - Apollo 17 The above are the two I would most like to meet. I seem to think they have done signings in the USA so might be willing to come over. I'm sure the prices they charge would raise eyebrows...but worth paying for a once in a lifetime opportunity. Michael Collins - Apollo 11 One third of the greatest mission ever...what more can I say? Barbara Morgan - Challenger She was meant to be coming over last year (or the year before) but cancelled. As back up to Christa McAuliffe it makes her a very interesting astronaut. What if... Frank Borman (Apollo 8), Bill Anders (Apollo 8) and Tom Stafford (Apollo 10) Three early Apollo astronauts (I missed Stafford at a previous show!) Of those who have previously been I would favour: ValentinaTereshkova (first woman in space) Helen Sharman (first Briton in space) Alexei Leonov (first spacewalk) Now that would be some guest list!!! He's apparently in poor health too. He's never done a public signing. He did do some private ones but that's all over so I hear. Jack Schmitt will only sign his book last I heard. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Collins - Apollo 11 One third of the greatest mission ever...what more can I say? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Think he only ever did one signing show, in the usa. He does do private signings now and then. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frank Borman (Apollo 8), Bill Anders (Apollo 8) and Tom Stafford (Apollo 10) Three early Apollo astronauts (I missed Stafford at a previous show!) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Think Frank's nearly 90 now. Don't think he's ever done a show anywhere. Does private signings now and then. Bill Anders stopped signing some years ago and he's refused ever since. Tom's been twice, 2009 and 2010. He looked quite frail to me then! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ValentinaTereshkova (first woman in space) Helen Sharman (first Briton in space) Alexei Leonov (first spacewalk) Now that would be some guest list!!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Think all 3 have been before - Alexei certainly has. Haven't seen them back for a while ...... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Green I like your suggestions Michael but alas you've picked the apollo guys who 'don't do the circuit' so to speak - the majority of apollo astronauts have attended shows and continue to do so but the small contingent you've named are the guys who've always shied away from them and signing autographs in general, whatever their reasons may be. I certainly can't speak for the autographica chaps but I'd be pretty well sure they must have tried for these guys over the years. Me - I'm just happy to see ANY apollo astronaut here :) kind regards
von Dawson's Express
We have no hope in hell having Russian cosmonauts come over - not while there's this spat in the Ukraine and even then it won't happen. The RAF and Navy are intercepting Russian asset's all the time in the North Sea and Atlantic, guess the good old days are over... Shame really would love to met Valentina Tereshkova... Apollo astronauts? What's the average age of them guys now? must be well in the 80's... I guess Buzz Aldrin will make another appearance, especially now his ex-wife is suing him... I'd like to see astronauts who never flew in space - Helen Sharman's team, the Skynet astronauts, Apollo 12 cuff list Playboy Bunnies... I certainly enjoy collecting the SR-71 pilot autographs, there's a good area worth studying... Bests von Dawson's Express
Flashstorm
I think many Apollo astronaut would have interest, but it will not cheap. However, should try everything before they disappear I would like to repeat my wishes: - Dave Scott, Apollo 15 - Charlie Duke, Apollo 16 hopeless: - John Young, Apollo 10, 16 - Jim Lovell, Apollo 13 - Mike Collins, Apollo 11 - Frank Borman, Apollo 8 - Harrison Schmitt, Apollo 17 Edited April 27, 2014 by Flashstorm
farmer
If they can't get the 'hopeless few' (and I tend not to agree with all your list - as Lovell has been many times) to agree. Why don't they try a mail in service, or something... If that's our only hope, then I'm sure there will be enough interest.
